Okay so I just want someone to made fanfiction about Mo Dau Zu Shi.

Like, guys, I got this idea and try to write something like this on my native, Polish, but its just not the thing I want?

Lemme explain, okay?

So, I think about cultivation world. Like, they're cultivating, right? They collecting qi, energy having its origin and beginnings in Nature, right? So, what if there were people who has that one big connection with Nature, that understands it so much, that it somehow became painful? People sensitive to energy to such an extent, that they can read mood in the crowc just from air? People with natural empathy, not only in character, But also having a real capacity for Empathy after passing a certain border of connection with Nature after starting the process of puberty? People this could be this rare that they're respected and valued, protected. Powerful and wise in way normal cultivators aren't. Connectet to natural order of universe in way that they're almost one with energy in the air, that they can cultivate almost without trying.

These people, with their abilities, are called saints.

Of course, their qi affinity is high, but in the world I think 'bout even this can't help them, if something horrible happened. In the world I think about, Jiang Yanli is one of them.

And Wei Ying next one.

I think about is as Saints being blessings for the family, and that no one can give birth to more than one Saint for WHOLE family - no brother of yours, no cousin, no distant aunt can bring from your blood next Saint to life. And this could be the only one proof Yu Ziyuan needs to be sure of her husband's love for her and children's, and his loyalty for her, to became more responsible for Wei Ying, and giving them proper childhood along with her own children. As it should be in the original.

I think about world, where even being a Saint, someone precious to world, cannot bring you absolute safety, because you still can fall under pressure, poison, expectations, like Jiang Yanli as young child, in world I imagine. And only many years of care, and medicines, and love of family and help from other Saint, like - i dunno - maybe Wei Wuxian absolutely loving their Shijie as Jiejie and protecting her and heaaling because they're family. Because, you know, demons of the heart can last longer that you can think, it's hard to take care of them, and they're plus poison could almost kill our sweet Yanli?

But - she will recover. Of course she will. I wish for a fluff.

I imagine that in this world for no reason in the generation on Yanli, Wangji, Wuxian, Xichen, Mingjue, and others, for some reasons are born ten times more Saint than normal. I imagine normal amount are like three, and in the dark times like War Against Xue Chinghain number 7 is something that is unbelievable.

I imagine in this world, that Saints are addressed little differently. Like, I dunno. I use for one of my works (because yes, I try to write it, but I'm not good and wish I could see someone writing it too, because wanna see what someone else could do with this wonderful idea) I made it that Woman Saint is addressed as Ayi Surname. For examples Ayi Jiang. Ayi Wei. (I wrotey own ff about it, I did it before. I wanna fem wei ying okay? Thx do anything you want with this it's just for some plot i want, you stay with boy wuxian if You want I wanna read as many ffs about is as possible and many wariations, just give links in comment if you want use something from this post ideas okay?) Male Saint could use Aya Surname. Aya Lan. Aya Nie.

FunFact™ — in Polish language word Nie, so Nie Huaisang surname, means NO! Hehe its funny when you read polish mdzs ff's and see jokes about it.

Like, it's not this much. Only some idea or two. But if someone get really good at plotting and making worlds, it could be awesome. I'm just not right one person so I'll leave this and look. If someone could be inspired by this. Try it! Anything can do, I want to see what ya people could do with using this!

The Guanyin temple confession is maybe my favorite scene of any piece of media I've ever consumed because it's so unpredictable.

You got the villain just halting his evil plot, full stop, in the middle of his gloating speech, no less, because "What do you MEAN you guys aren't even together?! What?! No, no, no, there won't be any romantic misunderstanding in my hostage situation! Honey, tell him!"

And then the calmest, most polite character alive procceeds to go his version of apeshit on this punk like "my brother like-likes you, you fucking pinecone! You useless twink! We all thought you were a hoe but you are just an imbecile!" (Which is a nice parallel to the Jiang brothers' hatred for the peacock, but I digress)

And THEN, when it's the perfect moment for a climatic love confession, homeboy goes and screams for everyone to hear that he... really wanted that dick, Hanguang-jun! Where's love? Who cares? WWX wants to ride you like a carnival ride: sticky and filthy and multiple times.

It's a wonder that Xichen didn't yank that string from Jing GuangYao to strangle WWX himself.

Personally, I think the real reason people keep insisting MDZS is told from WWX's POV, even though they admit it's third person omniscient, is because JC is addressed by his birth name 'Jiang Cheng' throughout the entire novel and not his courtesy name. So people wrongly assume it must be from WWX's perspective...

Well, those that cling to such a take aren't going to like the real answer to this... But that's still not the case. If it were from WWX's perspective, JYL would be addressed as 'Shijie', LWJ would be 'Lan Zhan' and JFM would be 'Jiang-shushu' etc. JC is addressed by his birth name throughout the novel because even the narrator thinks he is a clown.

Sorry, but that's the reason. They do not think he deserves respect, just as the rest of the cultivation world doesn't either. If you actually look at the text, you'll notice behind his back, nearly everyone calls JC by his birth name out of disrespect - it's literally in the first few chapters for all to see. He's rarely called by his courtesy name by anyone other than LWJ, WWX when he's pissed and later by JGY and XY in the extras. That's it. It's a show of disrespect throughout the novel and the narrator shows the same. JC isn't called 'Sandu Shengshou' for nothing you know, it's a running theme of disrespect for a character that doesn't deserve much if any at all.

Post-canon wangxian to me are basically unofficial rougue cultivators, like yeah lwj hasn't defected, but he's only ever at gusu every like once a 6 months; Lqr is worried that one day Lwj is gonna leave and never come back (That's not true though, Lwj needs that sect money to spoil his husband)

-For one it would take place on a station. Why? Cause ds9 has taken over my brain :

-Wwx is a trill and the 1st officer: Both his parents passed away when he was a child resulting in him being taken in by a human family (the jiangs) and as he got older he grew the ambition to gain a symboite (As his mother and father) I feel like he'd probably have a huge culture clash because of living on earth and being so highly influenced by its culture and this causes.. complications for him during his training.

-Lwj (Okay so I keep flip flopping between vulcan!wangji and human!wangji because both seem to fit him so I've decided on half!human, half!vulcan wangji) he's the science officer of the station and hasn't spoken to his family in 7 years cause baggage! Who doesn't love emotional baggage?

Wangxian: They Met briefly during their years at starfleet academy though other than the academic rival thing they had going on there friendship never went deeper than that, ofc fate had it out with them so immediately after graduating they found themselves as bunk buddies on their first assignment, and their next assignment… and their next… (they were both promoted at the same time. Everytime.) I think their romantic feelings would start blooming somewhere between the time period before the station, though it only got srs during their time on the station.

Song lan is a human and also the commander: He was married to a ship captian (xiao xingchen (who was a trill) xiao xingchen passed during the war between the dominion (though some say his first officer had a hand in his death) he's pretty lonely but, he starts to open up once he meets wwx especially considering wwx happens to be related to his husband.

Jiang Yanli, Human and station counselor: She once had a very close bond with wwx (despite her toxic mothers involvement) but, after wwx got a symboite to her he completely changed, In Addition, They barely interacted for a while because of their jobs, though their time on the station reconnects them.

(Also jfm divorces yzy sometime when jyl is on duty, this is unrelated, but a big W for jyl)

Jin zixuan, Half ferengi and half human, and the chief of engineering: Not much too him but, his dad is horrible so.

Xuanli: Tbh I'd imagine in this au they wouldn't be endgame , Jl is still born but its by alien interference, they're besties tho dw it's fine.

Wen Qing, A bojarian, and the Cmo: Was never a fighter during the resistance mostly a healer, after the resistance she took an oath never to harm anyone unless needed , highly popular in starfleet medical, and famous on bajor.

Wen Ning, also bajoran, he's a nurse!: his backstory is pretty similar to Wen qing though id imagine he worked more in the physical field than the medical field during the resistance, still besties with wwx.

Nie Huaisang! An andorian, owns an art shop: he has a starfleet degree, He just really doesn't care about it, his brother is still salty about it.

I forgot to mention, but the head of security is mianmian: shes a betazoid

Can't believe nobodies edited wangxian to redwine supernova yet.

I think wwx would have some of the curliest hair ever though he generally does not know how to take care it properly, not because he's unhygienic but, because nobody at Lotus pier really has his texture of hair.

Lan Wangji finds out about this somehow, and makes it his lifes misson to figure out a way to make wwxs hair life easier.

Mdzs but wwx never dies and he and lwj run away with the wens to become travellers :D

You guys know those fics where canon!mdzs characters get somehow transported to alt universes? Well Let that happen to wangxian and Co, but make them trying to get back home the B plot, while the A plot is actually just modern!lsz explaining modern slang to them.

Mod!Lsz: And the word "goat" is actually just a fun way to call someone "Cool"

Lan "Avid enjoyer of linguistics" Wangji (totally calm): There. Is. No. Correlation.

Another point that must be made is that modern lsz loves romance novel, so while bored one of the juniors come across modern!lszs Copy of 2ha... (for plot convience they can understand modern chinese) let's just say it was not a fun conversation.

I see a lot of mdzs pop star aus going around, and they're all equally amazing but, they always (Again. Understandably) revolve around either wangxian and Co.

But yk what my ideal "popstar" mdzs au would be? Wq, Jyl and mianmian in a band, The trouple (tots not biased)

-Basically Jyl would be in the band because she genuinely has an interest in music (also because her parents did not... love her choice of becoming a music major, so she needs to get money somehow)

-I'd imagine she'd be the lead singer, cause why not?

-Wq wouldn't really be in it for interest, she actually wants to become a doctor though med school is expensive as hell and ever since granny Wen had retired she's been working 10 jobs at the same time. Someone save my girl.

-She'd play the guitar

-MianMian is just some guy who's in the band cause she's close friends with jyl, and she's also a music major.

-I'd imagine she'd have beef with her past employer tho (The Jins) and its comical.

-shes the drumiest.

A lan wangji who covers his ears at sudden loud sounds, A wei wuxian that may or may not break your arm if you try to sneak up on him from behind (Less you're lwj ofc), A Wen Ning that fills up Wen yuans plate much more than needed (Wen Yuan tries his best to eat it all either way)

Every once a while I will cross paths with a another sect! Wwx au and yk that's cool and all, but these aus always (understandably) revolve around the Great sects, but that's got me thinking of a wwx being adopted by the sect leader of a relatively new sect!

Here I go:

Wwx is picked up from the streets by the sect leader when he's 6-7(? I can't remember how old wwx was when jfm found him) originally for selfish purposes to increase the disciplines in his sect, but unfortunately for the man wwx grows on this man and his wife like fungus (also wwx being a genius prodigy makes him even more favorable)

I'd imagine by the time wwx is 15 the sect had grown a decent size... not big by any means but wealthy enough to afford an invite to the cr classes, ofc wwx and like a humble amount of disciplines from the sect are taken and wwx meets lwj blah blah.

So ik alot of u are asking. What would be the difference to canon? Difference is Wwx actually has a good support system in this universe, also lwj being the petty man he is marries INTO the small sect just to piss off all the big sect leaders (and his uncle+ brotherl)

(Actually tbh he also has valid reasons, but its funny to think of those as reasons too)

Modern wwx was totally a twilight teen, This was horrible for everyone involved.

Mdzs as a sitcom would slap actually. Enough with the angst, I need a fic of the daily life in the wen-wei-lan household (Wwx lives with wq&wn, lan wangji is unofficially living there (he hasn't actually went home in over a year) ) I need a fic of wwx learning the recorder within the limit of a day! Give me the sitcom!mod au waiter!

Peak character design is when mdzs artists draw postcanon!wwx a bit chubby, like yes! Lwj spoiling his husband, 10/10, Top tier, Give me more.

Fic idea(cause i just watched the mirror ds9 episodes): Wangxian (and others) accidentally activate a mysterious artifact? Array? Whatever you want, and end up in an alt dimension where roles are flipped.

Here is how it plays in my head-

-The Wens won the war in this universe.

-Wangxian are in charge of one of the major outposts with Wwx in charge and Lwj as his loyal subordinate (who is in charge of the posts military)

-Characters such as wq and wn and Wen Yuan would also be alive and evil because.. yk edgy verse, (also maybe jyl is also evil just cause.)

-Nmj and Lxc are head of the resistance, Lxc absolutely hates lwj for betraying him and killing their uncle.

*The fic would mostly consist of the og!characters getting absolute whiplash at their opposites personality, and helping with the resistance while they're there basically just what happens in the actual st!mirror episodes lol!

No idea who on who I should make chief if security, perhaps nmj?

Actually I just need a rougue!lwj fic where he somehow manages to save the wens and wwx, gets married to wwx, but instead of just straight up disappearing from the face of the planet he goes around messing with the sects, and when I mean by messing I mean he becomes the local crypid, full on myths and legends about the shadow of the "deceased" Hanguang-Jun throwing chickens at innocent folks.

And although I've been pretty vocal abt betazoid!wwx and vulcan!lwj I realised that while watching ds9 the other day...

What abt augment!lwj and trill!wwx instead, like wwx coming back as mxy after death tho still identifying as wwx from back than, lwjs mom (or dad) engineering him for *insert reason* without his consent and no one bothering to tell him even after his parents death, and once he finds out he cuts off lxc and lqr from his life etc etc

Like maybe it's just the ds9 brainworms speaking but.. cmon

Actually Lwj is so much better than me, Cause like the corruption of the cultivation world aside, If I lost my bisexual, raven haired princess who also happens to be a renowned heretic I would've had the crash out of the century.

Mdzs modern!au where having a wolf cut is the current trend, So Ofc Jyl wants one but yzy lacks any happiness in life to allow her daughter to get it done Therefore, she realizes the only way to get the job done is by inlisting her brothers(wwx) help.

One cut later Jyl comes out with uneven bangs and chunky hair, it's fine though wwx decides to mess up his own hair in solidarity.

Every once a while Wen Qings death and just the general nightless city ordeal haunts me, because imagine being Wen Qing and your brothers accidentally kill the heir of the clan that's been itching for an excuse to stage an official attack on your family, You know time is limited, But the Jins send an ultimatum " give your life up for your family and we'll leave you alone", you accept of course (you always knew you were never going to make it that far anyway, atleast your family would get an extended chance) so you burn, burn as people cheer around you including a man who owes you and your family a debt greater than any other (Jc) But even than you die at peace knowing your family would have a chance, knowing the man you now consider a brother would have a chance.

But that doesn't happen either way, Your whole family dies except one, the man you consider a brother gets supposedly thorn to shreds and the only living family member whom is a child is in the care of a bedridden man (who's bedridden for defending you family in the first place)

I feel like What happened with the Wen remnants really gets idk ignored by the fandom a bit, maybe not ignored but like it's definitely softened up, I personally don't believe that Wen Qing genuinely believed the Jins would keep their promise of peace Wen Qing is to smart to fall for their lies, though I feel she could've deceived herself in a moment of total desperation.
