The first of my two valentine’s watercolor posts. This one if more of a platonic direction, if the yellow roses didn’t tip you off. I don’t know, something about these two as pals tickles me pink (if the rest of my blog and AO3 didn’t tip you off lol). I was actually into Broar first if I recall correctly, and then from there I got into Talon and then I read the Katarina fanfic and then next thing you know here I am with an arranged marriage KatGaren fic I’m too busy to work on lol. At this rate I’ll be lucky if that thing is ready before the end of the year.

It was pretty fun practicing watercolors with these two. My color experiments, as always, turned out a little different than I imagined. I really liked drawing Briar’s weird little outfit. I imagine if she ever got to choose her own clothes they’d be like this: a mixture of textures and patterns that’s so eccentric it marks her out immediately. Talon, meanwhile, dresses in the noxian menswear equivalent of “male living space” posts. Shirt. Pants. Belt. What are they made of? Fabric. Cassie despairs at the sight of both of them for entirely different reasons

The second installment of my ongoing little warhammer project. I’ve decided the armor is like the anatomy-whatever I think works that day. I forgot my brush pen at home unfortunately, so I inked this in a random school pen.

Writing a multi-chapter fic is fun until you gotta re-read the whole fucking thing multiple times to ensure that you’re staying consistent and not accidentally fucking up your consistency with new chapters and have a whole note page about who knows what and who has what items and who is where doing what

foaming at the mouth thinking about talon being illiterate again.. ik I've talked about it before but him being a shit reader or unable to is rather important to me. it's just so damn isolating.

I know it's not technically canon but I think about how tal's original writer thought he was illiterate and Marcus taught him symbols to use as a secret code and God how awful is that yk?? Marcus would rather communicate via a secret code rather than have talon learn to read bc keeping talon tethered and naive is in his best interest. it's so AWFUL. also I think Marcus would be a terrible teacher but that's an aside.

from an inside angle, having a secret code with your 'father' would probably make talon feel special, but he's still just being manipulated, it's kinda brutal. and I think talons hatred for being bad at stuff would ALSO make it harder to learn to read it's just heartbreaking.

I think on first glance using 'naive' is a weird word for him bc talon has experienced The Horrors, but being illiterate keeps him stuck in place and isolated and he doesn't even know it.

Some OC designs for my little Dark Angels warhammer comic project. Don’t get used to the reasonable anatomy here tho lol, noodle arms and comedic stylization are the name of the game for the real thing. As fun as grimdark may be to read, I cannot write it, and the art’s gonna reflect that

One of these characters I put a ton of thought and consideration in. The other is a bit background character whose outfit I threw together from vague memories and one History Hit video and I am becoming rapidly overstretched to. Guess which one is which

Spoilers ahead for my fic Roses Gone Wild, on the off chance any of y’all care about that sort of thing

This is my concept of Briar what looks like at the end of the fic, in her “Shepherd” form and her human form. Basically my inspirations were complete and utter disbelief that any military contractor (in this case the Black Rose) in an environment as nepotistic as Darkwill era Noxus would ever do their job without cutting corners. Like. Come on. They at minimum made her out of a corpse. And thus, the Shepherd plot line was born.

Poor Briar. After the fic ends and she gets her break from plot, she spends the next few months chilling at home with Talon and Katarina.

More messy practice for the little warhammer oc project. I’m gonna have to figure out what space marines wear in the day to day soon cuz I am not drawing all that armor on a regular basis. And why is Ezekiel blue??? Asmodai is really fun to draw tho

Currently working on my thesis this term, so fanfic is coming slowly. So for now I’m doing a lot of fan art, and am planning a silly little war hammer oc project to keep my spirits up. For now enjoy me practicing dark angels and associated stuff in preparation. :)

Final old art upload! All the plants in this are real plants, but I drew this a year ago so I couldn’t tell you any probably. 😅 I still really like all the effort I put into the background tho

Nearly the last of the old art, I think I have one or two pieces left. This is one of those style challenge things that hit their peak in like 2018 I think. Enjoy guessing what changes were stylistic decisions and what were me forgetting the details of this over-complicated outfit lol

Did this one around Halloween last year. Thought about waiting till this October to put it up, but I’m too impatient. Briar’s a mummy and Talon’s a werewolf. I tried to do a bunch of different textures on this one. This art began my long burning question about Briar’s design: why so much leather?

Yet more old art. This was back when I thought Talon’s official colors were black hair blue eyes.

Yet more older art. Did this one after the finale. What can I say, I adore a darkest hour loose hair moment. The third act fed me well in this regard. Lowkey her, Viktor, and Ekko were my favs, but I didn’t like drawing men when I did this, so here she is!
