picnics all the time and i mean like if she ever sees a cool spot on a walk, beast believe you’ll be back in a day or two with a basket of food and drinks

greeted every adult in jackson with a smile and a handshake, the kids with a hug.

when you first met ellie, she was in the dinner hall after tending to shimmer. it was odd when she walked in, everyone’s eyes seemingly trained on something.

however, you only had eyes for one person and people noticed very quickly. the cheeky winks you’d send her and no one else, the extra sandwich you’d pack into her patrol bag, the longing gazes across the dining hall.

the theories where proved right at the dance hosted in the chapel. everyone in jackson was in attendance, you had been dancing for hours with everyone. your favourite was dancing with the grandads, they all knew how to dance.

eventually you caught eye of ellie at the bar with dina and jesse. you practically skipped over after finishing up a dance with one of the eleven year old jackson boys that had a huge crush on you. the kiss planted on his cheek leaving him bright red and running to his friends.

you practically demanded the girl to dance with you, the girl denting because she was a bad dancer and she had just ordered a new drink

you quite literally grabbed the drink from her hand, downed it and dragged her to the dance floor whilst telling her to follow your lead. the song was slow, your arms around her neck

you’d physically have to put ellie’s hands on your waist for her to dare touch you. scared you’d be uncomfortable under her hands

when people started leaving, you went with ellie, dina and jesse back to ellie’s shed. the four of you playing games until the early hours of the morning. so late you’d end up crashing at ellie’s

“holy shit did we fuck?” you’d practically shout as you woke up from your slumber, stripped down to your underwear and beside ellie who was also half naked.

when ellie replied with a no and told you that you were complaining about being uncomfortable so you stripped, you quipped back with a “huh, shame” before changing and leaving.

you left ellie a blushing mess

it’d be you who pursued ellie, asking her out after she played you a song on her guitar.

okay, you literally shouted it at her

“holy shit please date me!” or something along them lines.

and, when you where dating. ellie quickly figured out she was an incredibly jealous person.

you we’re usually the centre of attention in jackson, got given flowers on a daily basis and received many compliments

she’d keep it to herself but you knew which is how you ended up in bed together. half naked and you straddling her lap, kissing hickeys into her neck

she then complained about her not leaving her mark on you so you just flicked your hair away from your shoulder and tilted your head slightly.

the absolute gossip the next day was mental. no one knew that the two of you were together (minus dina and jesse - due to unfortunate circumstances… and joel who you had both told willingly)

the complements and everything else never stopped but ellie was satisfied because they all knew that you were hers.

starting off, ellie would introduce you as ‘the mrs’ or ‘my wife WHEREVER you go. i mean everyone, would hear those words whenever your in view

“oh look there’s the mrs now” or “there’s my wife”

quite nights in with gf!ellie >>>

she’d 100% play guitar and hum songs when you’ve had a long day and need sleep

couldn’t believe you actually agreed to go out with her originally, she genuinely thought you where straight until you blabbed about your ex girlfriend one night

will drag you everywhere with her. seriously if this woman needs a piss at 3 in the morning you best believe she is waking you up just so she can use the toilet while you stand lazily by the door

VERY protective over you, im not joking. if your on patrol together, she’ll always be behind you so nothing can jump at you without you realising

she tries not to let you kill anything, whether it’s infected or raiders but when you do team up to kill a large group of infected. your an undeniably good team.

ellie will (and this isn’t up for discussion) always talk through arguments. there is no going to bed angry with ellie as a girlfriend. everything is sorted within the hour.

you two are the centre of attention at Jackson parties. not only because your one of the few lesbian couples there but because after a few drinks, you both get quite handsy and dance carelessly together

the first kiss with ellie definitely happened randomly. maybe you were making food and ellie just walks in, grabs your face and kisses you.

you where the first to say ‘i love you’ because ellie was scared that admitting it aloud would be stupid. everyone she has loved before, had died.

it would be a cute moment though. just imagine sitting on the couch with ellie whilst she plays the guitar. your just admiring her with a smile as she strums chords and puts together a little tune.

you just couldn’t help but blurt out those three words. ellie’s movements stilled as she looked up at you, her eyes wide and her mouth open

she will so casually pull one of these after you say what you said

you knew she wouldn’t say it back but once she composed herself she just gives you a smile and grabs your hand, bringing your knuckles up to her lips

it would take her a while to say it back. it would probably be after either you or her get injured pretty badly.

speaking of injuries, she wouldn’t let you touch a single wound. ellie would clean and dress them while you just sit there watching her with an amused smile

sometimes, ellie would get on your nerves with how late she has a tendency to stay up to. you’ll be in bed and you’ll hear ellie screaming at the tv (either at a game or a film). knowing she got into bed with you at eleven, you checked the clock and saw it was 2am

if ellie wakes up before you (which is incredibly rare) she’ll bring you whatever food was being served in the dining hall and a coffee for you to have breakfast in bed.
