here’s your reminder that a lot of the violence against women and homosexuals in africa is perpetuated by white christian missionaries.
white christian missionaries are responsible for the death penalty of homosexuals in uganda. they keep going over there and reinforcing the believe of homosexuality being a sin.
it’s their fault that some african girls and women have experienced unfathomable acts of violence — by constantly influencing them to engage in purity culture.
death to christian missionaries and anytime they go to a country or tribe where they are not welcome and get killed for it, i laugh and smile. :) remember to persecute your local evangelical fundie. <3

me when i’m trapped in a tall tower for all my life and the only access to the outside world i have is through social media
I was watching a video and there was this ‘joke’. He sees a couple fighting and it seems really threatening and aggressive only for them to start passionately making out and the end of the gag is, ‘this is why I mind my own business.’
And I can’t help but think about how I’ve read about domestic abuse previously being seen as, ‘a personal issue’ a private matter that everyone might know is going on but no one’s really supposed to talk about. It’s convenient for abusive people when others mind their own business, it’s easier to isolate their victim and make them think what’s going on is normal. It’s convenient for them to be able to hide assaults behind the thin veneer of, ‘sex games’.
If you sincerely want me to fuck off, say it again in the next reply or don’t reply at all. It seems like you replied because you wanted to have a conversation but if you don’t I won’t make you have one.
That being said I’m not pro-religion and I’d like any kind of citation of ‘faux feminism’ being equally responsible for abuse as an industry where the vast majority of people express that they do not want to be involved in it but lack the means to escape. I’d like to know how faux feminism compares to Pornhub’s founder admitting to profiting from videos made without the consent of its users.

Your argument isn’t even pro-sex-industry though, it’s just saying, ‘other groups are also bad so don’t look at this one’. Should I not critique Amazon because it pays its workers and Nestle and Apple use actual literal child and slave labor or are all four groups worth fucking despising for how they take advantage of vulnerable people?
the fact that criticizing the sex industry is seen as more oppressive than the sex industry itself should really make people think
like i really hope you understand those people really really REALLY believe WHOLEHEARTEDLY that you can escape misogyny and oppression if you try hard enough. and if you can't, that's because of your lack of effort. it is your fault, your individual fault you're oppressed. don't ever think about reaching out to other women and helping each and fight against sexism together. do NOT gain class consciousness, only think about yourself. you're NOT like those weak women, they deserve the oppression but not you!!!!!!
Sadly people got too tolerant of Christianity we need the mythical annoying atheists to make a comeback we need to make this the summer of atheism "don't talk to me about your magical book" should be rolling off the tongue way more often....
In response to bans on trans women in women's sports, some have suggested that all sports leagues and competitions should be gender-desegregated and open to all, regardless of gender. Do you support this, and what effect do you think it would have on the number of women in professional sports, and their median pay?

See the thing here is I kind of wish there were numbers on this. If there were numbers that said, “If given the option non trans people would chose to stay their sex regardless of oppression” than there’d actually be something here. But instead it’s just a weird anecdote that even within itself acknowledges that people say ‘yes’ but denies that that yes is anything but a lie. Followed by a failure to acknowledge that some female and LG (no B here because they’d face oppression on the basis of same sex attraction either direction) people might not ‘just chose to transition out of their oppression’ because without a surgery that won’t actually magically change your sex and will fuck up your body, everyone will be able to tell anyway.
"For the last few years I’ve been trying an experiment. I speak at a lot of feminist events, and often these involve an all-female panel. Often, a man pops up in the Q&A, or buttonholes me afterwards to ask why feminism has to make men feel so unwelcome. Aren’t men’s contributions valuable? Absolutely, I cry with all the fake enthusiasm I can muster – and there is one, huge contribution that men can make to feminism: the washing up. Or the laundry, I’m easy. Or going part-time while the kids are small.
At this point, the light in their eyes tends to die. It turns out that when they said they wanted men to be involved in feminism, what they actually meant was “have someone listen to their ideas about what feminists are currently doing wrong”. Not do a load of boring unpaid work in return for absolutely zero praise."
