Still struggling with keeping up with my motivation, but I try to stay positive!š
I believe in myself as well as in all of you: we can do this! We can ace these exams! We can get this degree, even if itās hard!āØ
Sending lots of love~ššš
Studying with a chaotic mind isn't really easy these days... I try to take things slow, redecorating my wall and writing stories every now and thenāØ
I also do workouts and started listening to podcasts recently!š„°
But still, studying can't be left out of my daily routine and I try to focus on University for at least an hour per day. Somehow everything works out, but me myself feels somehow lost. I hope that I will recover pretty soon, to finally feel betterš
trying is much more important than succeeding
10 minutes of studying > not studying at all
being a college student is more than academics. itās also learning how to enjoy your own company, learning and occasionally screwing up meals, wandering outside campus like a tourist, questioning your ideals and presuppositions, discovering new talents and skills for the hell of it, and SOĀ much more. if you feel burnt out in one dimension of college life, thatās a sign to spend some time relishing in another dimension.
if you need more time, take a deep breath and shoot that email to your professor/TA asking for an extension. at worst, they say no. and donāt stress over properly explaining yourself/your situation. hell, just email them: āHi, Professor. I need your help. Sincerely, y/n.ā all it takes is that one initial reach out and the rest will follow.
failure does not reflect character. read that again. remind yourself as often as you see fit because at one point or another, you will feel like youāve failed. itās growing pains. once youāve accepted that, learn to view any setbacks as a hint that you need to try a new method/approach. didnāt do well on that math quiz? donāt beat yourself up over itāinstead, regroup with yourself and see which metaphorical gear got stuck in your personal learning process machine. for instance, maybe you used flash cards and that wasnāt really your style.Ā act like a detective, not a bully.
THERE IS NO NORMAL TIMELINE FOR YOUR COLLEGE CAREER(!!!!!!). a lot of people need more than 4 years, a lot of people need 4 years, and a lot of people need less than 4 years. and every single one of those timelines are valid. the worst thing you could do is squeeze the living hell out of yourself into some rigid schedule that is incompatible with who you are and how you learn. trust me when i say u will find yourself doing the best work when u do it at YOUR pace.
My statistics exam is in less than a week. Iām studying nonstop and just want to pass that exam es good and fast as I can. It makes me nervous and exhausted all the timeš„ŗ
Getting stuff done on a rainy day~ āØš
What are you up to today?š
Tbh Iām currently thinking about starting a study youtube channel, but Iām still hesitated bc Iām scared of what other people will think about it. + I donāt know if I can post consistently on there, because making videos is a whole lot of work. Iām glad that Iām able to post on here somehow regularlyš
Iām really uncertain about what to doā¦šµāš«
What do you think about this? Would you enjoy watching some kind of study vlogs? Or āstudy with meā?š„ŗ
Another gloomy day of studying!
IĀ“m sorry for being absent the last few days, but I have been struggling to study properly because of some massive headaches.Ā
Still: I managed do do some tasks everyday and it“s totally fine that I haven“t been as productive as I wish I had been. My health is more important than studying many hours per day. As long as I can still achieve my goals and keep up with my agenda, everything will be alright. I can still study enough to ace this exam!!
Stay positive and take care of your (mental) health!
Every time I look at my keyboard, I suddenly get a lot of motivation to study!⨠Iām glad I bought this keyboard!!š„°š
Another day, another study session!⨠D-6 until the last exam of the year!!
Sometimes life is difficult to handle. Sometimes your thoughts are overwhelming your mind and you arenāt able to focus on anything.
Thatās why I recently started a diary! I hope it will be helpfulāØ
Do you have any tips on clearing your mind?
what app are you using to freehand write on your ipad with a stylo/pen, if you donāt mind me asking? thanks so much in advance!
Mainly using Goodnotes 5 + apple pencil first gen. for everything! š I love this app because it offers a lot of options. + I think the investment of those 10 or 11$ is totally worth itāØš Iāve been using it for 2 years now and they still make huge updates which make it even easier to take handwritten notes!
