“Anyone who has actually been that sad can tell you that there’s nothing beautiful or literary or mysterious about depression.”
— Jasmine Warga, My Heart and Other Black Holes
I can read a 500 page book or 100k word fanfiction in one sitting, but the moment I have to do a required reading for uni I suddenly don't know how to read
I feel like he definitely isn’t my soulmate, however, I’m going to keep chasing after him because it’s fun and time-consuming
I fell asleep and into your arms
Lying there luxuriating in bed
In each other; raptly willing to watch those eyes
--More than anything any app could stream--
Surface rippling rivetingly
Intimating all that teems beneath
Yet somehow riveted on me
Heart-racing soul-stirring
Embracing as the flame burns hotter
Stroking innocently until the intent
Gains in momentum, in urgency
Only we're not alone, witnesses surround
So we furtively glance around tickling
Ears with our murmurings
Plotting to sneak away...our stares
And sighs asking, why wait?
They matter too but not as much
As we do, as our untamable
Urges do, at this moment
If this be no more than a one-time
Wonderful dream detour
Another almost--but a bittersweet
Tantalizing taste
Would it be better preserved
That way or a crying shame waste?
Will I ever even have a say
When awake?

I Have Called That the New Man – Zorba the Buddha
“First I taught you about trust, the heart, feeling, love; and now I am teaching you about doubt, skepticism, reason, intellect, because I would like you to be a whole man. You can be completely satisfied with trusting, with the heart, but you will not be a whole man. I would not call Mira a whole person, I would not call Ramakrishna a whole person. They are beautiful, but the intellect is missing; it is all heart. It is too much sugar, it creates diabetes. I am diabetic. Too much of the heart, too much sweetness, and you suffer from diabetes – and I don’t want any of you to suffer from diabetes. Yes, just living by the heart you will have spiritual diabetes. Intellect is salty, spicy; it is not all sugar.
“I would like you to enjoy the wholeness of your being, when your body, your heart, your intellect all fall in tune. I have called that the new man – Zorba the Buddha.”
-Osho

Experience is always changing, like the movement of clouds against the sky. Realisation—the stable awareness of the true nature of your mind—is like the sky itself, an unchanging background against which shifting experience occur.

Fresh start bitter end
It sinks in your eyes’ blue (life, lust, love) like a skimming stone having lost all momentum,
and drowns there, where I have again and again. But it is only the end
for a moment. Stillness may hold your moon- spirit in its orbit but gravity wanes and
your trajectory is as yet unknown. Where will you go
then?: When the beginning takes you? Where will you fly (and if not fly, walk; and if not walk, swim)?
Do we win the battle when there are no fears left to face? Or is it won through exploration and through acceptance: that
there will be one thing and then another and then another
like the haunting of an ancient burial ground from now until forever.
I feel like such a temporary person in everyone’s life
