I was really gonna try to write my bbh fic after all that talk and barking I did over complaining about the lack of bbh content on ao3 đ
like I have a rough draft for a one shot in my notes app and everything đ„ș
BUT NOW đ„Č
it feels so personal
I genuinely donât know how I am not seeing more of this woman on my feed
never have I wanted somebody more carnally
like I am howling at the moon, clawing at my walls, biting at my chains
the things I would do to be one of this womanâs wives
I didnât understand x reader fics until she graced the screen
My blood feels hot that I want her so bad
Hierarchy:
All vampires are related to one of six original vampires and all are related to the Proud Vampire Mother.Â
This relation is not quite genetic, they do share venom with vampires from the same sire or greatest sire (whichever OG vampire theyâre related to) but it is not the same as human blood relations. What Iâm trying to say is that itâs not incest for two vampires with the same sire to date ToT
That being said, found family tropes are common so that often deters vampires under the same sire from dating each other. Opinions on this probably differ from vampire to vampire.Â
There are technically 7 original vampires, though 6 came from the first. The first vampire was born sometime during the dawn of man. She would go on to sire 6 prodgenies together, the 7 of them would be referred to as sevens, with Pride being the first. Her wearabouts remain unknown and have remained unknown for thousands of years. Itâs assumed she is either dead or in hibernation, similar to a volcano.Â
The rest of the original vampires would be incredibly power, equivalent to weak gods. Each has a different skill set and type of vampiric power. I havenât really fleshed them out too well but they correlate with their namesakes.Â
Sireing a vampire takes significant effort, similar to having a child. The way theyâre turnt is pretty basic, the sire drains most of their blood and injects an IMMENSE amount of venom. Much more than is typically released in a normal feeding.Â
Also similar to having a child, sires cannot sire an infinite number of fledglings. To sire one typically takes at least 5 years of care and a lot of venom. The time it takes for the amount of venom it takes to turn a person is roughly 2 years. Technically if a sire were to take an âabsent parent roleâ they could sire a fledgling every two years but without care, the fledgling would likely die quickly. Most vampires donât end up sireing another vampire and those that do often keep their numbers small.
The fledgling will be very dependent on their sire for the first 5 years or so. In this time the fledgling will mostly feed from the sire and rely on them to familiarize them with their new abilities and body. Usually this forms a bond between the two parties. While most vampires can become independent after a few years under their sire, many stay longer. If this process is interrupted by separating the sire and fledgling development can be stunted or damaged. Unbalanced and impulsive vampires are often the result. A lot of bad vampire stereotypes come from improperly sired vampires who struggle to control feeding impulses.Â
Fledglings who are seperated from their sires can recover if another vampire steps in as a sire or if their original sire returns even years later. Adoptive sires might not be able to raise a fledgling to the ability their original sire could have, especially if they donât share relation to an original sire, however thereâs little difference in quality if the adoptive sire is committed.
The strength and power a vampire has is directly related to how many times removed they are from the First Vampire, Pride, whether or not their own sire is alive and the number of fledglings their sire had, and whether or not theyâve killed other vampires.Â
When a vampire sires a fledgling, their fledgling typically inherits somewhere between 1 to 3 quarters of their sires power. In rare cases it can be more or less. In long lines of vampires, this power typically weakens with each new generation.Â
When a sire dies, their power disperses and divides amongst their living fledglings in a phenomenon dubbed inheritance. If a fledglingâs sire sired many fledglings, they will receive less power from their sire than one that sired fewer fledglings.
If a vampire were to kill another and consume all their blood, they could stop the inheritance phenomenon instead absorbing around half that vampireâs power all to their self. Sires with many fledglings, or powerful vampires in general, are at risk of other vampires slaying them for their power.Â
Most vampires are related to Lust and Gluttony making up close to half of the vampire population. This is followed by Envy related vampires who make up close to 1/5th of the population. Greed, Wrath, and Sloth make up the rest of the population in that order.Â
I have much more to this au, I just donât have it written down yet!
I donât think this is headcanoning anymore, Iâm just kind of making up my own lore for Dawn at this point. I hope somebody enjoys this!
When I think of Dawn and Zelda 1 and 2 the aesthetic I imagine is like 80s dark fantasy. I really kind of think of Dawn as this She-Ra princess warrior or Mad Max baddie, though I think she might wear more armor or pants if she were to fight somebody.
Moving on- Dawnâs father, the current king of Hyrule, is a no good, dirty rotten, pathetic man. The only reason the royal family has even persisted this long is due to their resources, wealth, and control at this point. They have just enough of Hyliaâs blood still running through their veins to have enough power to make sure Ganon doesnât full snuff them out but it is obvious that Ganon rules this land. Dawnâs father is greatly concerned with his own comfort and a sickening greed.Â
The royal family owns a vast library that ensures that stay educated enough to maintain control over the few surviving towns in Hyrule. The king enacts harsh taxes over these towns in return for education, access to medicine, and protection. The king has never married and has dozens of bastards across Hyrule. One day he sends out a call for all of his children to convene at the castle.Â
For Dawn this is easy, her mother is a part of the royal council and she ensured that Dawn grow up in Castle Town. Her father had decided to declare an heir and he decides to do so through a âseries of testsâ to decide who is most worthy. These tests are mostly just throwing his various children into a Thunderdome type arena and having them fight. This is to his great amusement.Â
Dawn is HORRIFIED. This is sick. Everyday she fights somebody of her own blood watching as her father laughs and laughs, choking on mead and fruit that rarely grows in these lands. She almost refuses to go, but every night she dreams of a beautiful woman crying tears like stars begging her to try. Begging her to save these lands. Every night this woman whispers wisdom to her and every day Dawn survives another day.Â
She does her best to spare her siblings where she can. Itâs not fair to fight the ones too small to lift a sword or those so thin they sway in the breeze. Many of them use this mercy to leave, go back to their real families. But not all of them. Some have the same greed and madness their father has. The blood of Hylia runs through all of them but itâs partial to Dawn. After a week of this, she emerges victorious and is dubbed as the princess of Hyrule.Â
Despite being the princess of Hyrule now, Dawn knows that her father doesnât actually plan on giving her any power whatsoever. This whole heir of Hyrule thing is just to appease some members of the court who are worried about the family line or appearances. She has a sick feeling her father agreed to this just for his amusement.Â
She takes to eavesdropping and spying to gain as much intelligence as possible. She soon learns that her father is planning to make a deal with Ganon. The known locations of the triforce fragments for safety and riches. Next council meeting she attends, Dawn gets up, walks across the table to her father and beheads him before he can even question what heâs doing. She pulls his crown from his head and declares herself the Queen of Hyrule. For the first time in 700 years, Zelda once again ascends the throne.Â
She immediately regrets her quick decision and bloody judgement. Her council now listens to her but itâs obvious that they fear her and do not trust her. She is young, only 17. Sheâs sick and tired of killing by the time her own mother confronts her. There Dawn learns that her mother was more closely working with her father than she had thought. Dawnâs mother had been forming a small cult in worship of Ganon to prepare for his imminent takeover. Dawnâs mother pleads with her to understand her fatherâs point of view. Dawn thinks that she should probably cut down her mother where she stands but she cannot bring herself to do it, so she banishes her instead. This is the first time Dawn regrets NOT killing somebody. Her mother would only gain strength and followers in the wasteland. Years later her motherâs cult would become an ugly scar on her little brotherâs life.Â
On a small mission to try and form an alliance with a nearby great mother that leads a well hidden fairy fountain, Dawn is captured by Ganon. For months she is terrified and weak, subjected to listening to the snorts and grumbles of an ugly pig who is going to destroy her beloved home. She is greatly unhopeful to be rescued knowing her council has a poorly hidden disliking of her.
The pigs greedy and prideful rambling starts to bleed frustration. Somebody is finding the triforce fragments before he can. Dawn tries not to get her hopes up, but she canât help herself. To her surprise, a savior comes. Hyrule, in all his 11 year old glory, fights the beast and frees her. Together they render Ganon into nothing but ashes. Another regret of hers for leaving something of him behind.
Of course she takes the boy home, he has many an injury and she has never had so much gratitude for somebody. Dawn decides that she cannot trust her council, especially after she discovers they were the reason she was captured in the first place. She gives them a choice: banishment or execution. Some of them wisely banish theirselves, but some try to fight for Dawnâs seat on the throne. Sheâs more than ready to fight, but to her shock and horror, her little hero is as well. Together they slay the rest of her court.Â
She struggles to build a new one, miserable after the little hero is chased out of the castle due to a curse living in his blood. Sheâs more than pleased when he returns with a small entourage of kind people heâs met over his journey. Impa, a kindly old woman Dawn remembers well from her childhood. A village healer, a kindly knight devoted to the goddesses. A moblin that her hero fervently insists is friendly.Â
Itâs a small start but itâs more than Dawn had ever had before. Sheâs happy for the first time in forever and the sky over Hyrule looks blue.
My daydreaming has recently just reverted to my middle school form so hereâs the edgy BBH lab AU that Iâve been chewing on
Evil lab, probably just the federation does human testing
they take bbh, a regular guy, and try to genetically form him into an idea assassin or something. Night vision resulting in glowing, white eyes, camouflaged skin to blend in with statues, lighter bones to better climb and scale buildings, and a tail for balance. Sharp teeth, claws, and horns all as backup weapons. Enhanced speed and strength. Heâs now a man made demon! his creators are likely pleased! Theyâve created a perfect being to do their biddings. Perfect to steal artifacts, to spy, and to kill.
They realize theyâve made a mistake when they try to send bbh on his first mission. All their work resulted in Badâs brain changing as well. He goes from a reasonable guy they kidnapped to an instinct filled, FURIOUS demon. They didnât do much psychological upkeep or brainwashing when they altered him, they might have assumed or had a plan to mess with his frontal lobe and amygdala but either, oops, forgot, OR accidentally altered it to make him 10x more unruly.
the second his feet hit the ground he immediately turns back and probably takes out a scientist or two before being sedated.
no they have an absolutely livid and untamable perfect assassin that they continuously try to hypnotize or brainwash but it never works. They try sedation or drugging but every time Bad just naps it off and wakes up angrier. It isnât until they introduce Bad to the child subjects, idk why they would actually do that thereâs like a fifty percent chance he would just fly into homicidal rage, and he becomes fiercely protective and loyal to them.
finally they have leverage over him.
and then eventually he either breaks out or gets rescued with the kids but I havenât really got there yet đ
idk about you guys but I love reading what people are thinking about or their personal Brain aus.
this sparked from rewatching the analogue horror videos from the Poppy Playtime devs. I really enjoy the plot and horror they have but also find it very amusing that these people just didnât really have a way to actually subdue their experiments in times of disaster? They literally had Huggy Wuggy just standing in the atrium what were they thinking
I wanted to add a little epilogue where shortly after meeting each other they immediately get sucked up into portal that thankfully dumps them out onto Lon Lon Ranch. Malon finds them stumbling through her pastures, takes in the dried blood in Legendâs hairline and Hyruleâs drenched appearance. She basically looks at two pathetic drenched cats and takes them in. She has them feeling better in no time with a meal, baths, and a potion. When Time gets back home introductions and explanations go around. Upon hearing that theyâre all called Link theyâre like: omg itâs such a common name.
They think itâs a coincidence until Malon tells them: âyou guys fell out of a portal. Nature is attacking you. You all have the same name. You donât think youâre connected somehow?â
And then theyâre all finally like: oh
I just think theyâre all kinda dumb like that đ affectionately
AU where the Hyrule and Legend meet first before the rest of the chain.
The portal dumps Hyrule right in the middle of the ocean. Even if he could swim it would be futile as thereâs no land for many miles. As he starts to drown he sees a flash of shimmering scales. He loses and regains consciousness over and over again over a course of time that he canât count. Each time he wakes sees pretty pink scales, pink hair, gills, and violet eyes. Sometimes he even hears the comforting few notes of a song.
When he finally comes to itâs tucked safely under a cluster of palm trees on the shore of an unfamiliar beach in an even more unfamiliar, but familiar, Hyrule. He has to wonder if the goddess really does love him or if he really was rescued by a mermaid.
Legend had never intended to leave the unfortunate Hylian behind. He left him in a safe spot on the shore before looking for a nearby village that could give better medical attention than he could. He never would have expected an avalanche to descend out of nowhere. Itâs not even rainy season. Before he can run or activate a shield heâs struck across the head and knows no more.
He gains consciousness a few times and each he sees the shining form of a green fairy, a color of fairy heâs never seen before. Each time he wakes he hears soft chiming and feels the warmth of fairy magic in his blood. When he finally comes to heâs nestled safely in the roots of a great old tree. He wonders if the green fairy was real or if one of his rings just activated.
Legend and Hyrule both travel for a day aching and tired. Each of them are determined to find the unfortunate soul they had to momentarily leave alone. They run into each other on the road and recognize one another immediately. Do they mention their acts of kindness or blatant recognition? NO.
Maybe one day in the future they mention being saved by a mermaid/odd green fairy. Do they piece together each otherâs stories? MaybeâŠ
Twilight going hunting as Wolfie after the chain runs out of food and everyone is starving. He blacks out a little and comes to eating a rabbit. Coincidentally Legend has gone missing when Twilight comes back to camp. Twilight is convinced he accidentally ate Legend.
for nights he sits on it, slowly driving himself mad, convinced he ate his brother. Right before he genuinely crashes out after the chain really starts worrying about Legend, the guy strolls back into camp with an armload of food like: âsorry I got lost foragingâ
Twilight bursts into tears: âI thought I ate youâ
he does not elaborate
Everybody drawing Dapper as just Minecraft-coded Ciel Phantomhive are my personal heroes
I have so much skephalo/happyduo brainrot right now you don't understand.
i need a fanfic with them as the main focus but its so hard to find that because they are usually a background ship.
Rules for fic rec are pretty basic,
-no nsfw
Yeah that's all the rules. I prefer if the ship is romantic but at this point I'll take platonic. please just anything.
thank you ahead of time.
Sorry for the long wait to anybody who was anticipating this! Without further ado, hereâs part 1!
Hyrule wakes up and honestly takes to things pretty well. He spends his first few days in the maze poking around the glade, (the safe center of the maze).
He doesnât know yet, but the maze is shaped like the triforce. The center, empty, triangle a safe meadow free of any mazes. Itâs cut through by a river and has a few clusters of trees.Â
Hyrule, who doesnât remember how he knows these things, is a good survivalist. He makes a small shelter in a small cave, really just a hole between some rocks.Â
The maze has three entrances. He chooses one and finally enters the maze. Things are pretty simple at first. Eventually he runs into a few small monsters which he basically just bashes with a self made spear.Â
After a week or so he finally runs into a âbossâ. Itâs a LARGE reptile that shoots projectiles at him. (Itâs just Aquamentus for Zelda 1 fans) He manages to kill it relatively unharmed. The next day the elevator rises again. In it are some basic supplies, rope, a ration kit, and a small dagger.Â
Hyrule learns whenever he solves a particularly difficult puzzle or kills a particularly large monster he is rewarded.Â
This is pretty encouraging to him and he keeps traveling deeper and deeper into the maze, exploring it from different entrances as well. He does this for a little over a month becoming pretty adapted to the maze, getting stronger and smarter. Unfortunately he gets really hurt one day fighting a huge bird that shoots lightning strikes. He catches a strike to his left leg and retreats.Â
Heâs left with a severe 3rd degree burn. He doesnât know how he knows, but somehow he knows that he needs herbs that grow deep in the maze to treat it. So, cue him making a mad attempt to go get said herbs but being unable to due to his injury slowing him down.
He stops trying and starts trying to treat it in the glade but he just doesnât have what he needs. Infection and blood loss sets in and Hyrule starts getting very sick.
Meanwhile, . . On the outside everyone, namely Legend, are starting to freak out because it really looks like Hyrule is on the path to dying a slow, fevered death.Â
Legend makes a huge fuss and he is next to enter the maze. It happens fast and unceremoniously. He doesnât tell anybody or say goodbye, he urges HYLIA to get him in there as fast as they can. Itâs not until heâs in the chair and going under amnesia that he starts to think about the implications of losing his memory.Â
When Legend enters itâs obvious he doesnât recognize or remember Hyrule because he fully ignores him and immediately runs into the maze trying to escape.Â
He does this for a few more days before slowing down and talking to the other dude. He also quickly realizes that the other dude is SUPER sick.Â
Hyrule vaguely answers some of Legendâs questions but he barely has energy to do anything but sleep. Guilt and panic engulfs Legend and he starts trying to help. Hyruleâs wound smells awful.Â
Hyrule tells Legend about the herb he needs and Legend works tirelessly until he gets it. (Itâs basically nature's antibiotic).Â
Their friendship reblossoms as Legend starts nursing him back to health.
On the Zelda side:
HYLIA is surprised when Artemis doesnât assimilate all too well. She panics upon awakening and spends her entire first week hiding in one spot. Eventually hunger drives her out and she calms down after foraging a meal.Â
It takes her another week until she even considers going in the maze. She doesnât explore it thoroughly. Her first monster sends her fleeing back to the safety of the glade.
Eventually she gets a little bit more courageous in the safer parts of the maze. Upon completing a semi difficult puzzle, HYLIA sends her a care package very similar to the one they sent Hyrule. Unlike Hyrule, this care package does not have the safe influence.Â
Artemis quickly pieces it together that sheâs here because of a greater power and that when she does tasks that it deems favorable she gets rewarded. So she refuses to reenter the maze in order to see how far she can push that force. She wants answers or nothing at all.
So Artemis starts chilling. She starts building herself a base. She starts seeing what food she can cultivate inside the glade itself.Â
After a month of Artemis basically doing jackshit HYLIA gets frustrated. They send in Dawn.
Dawn and Artemis have never gotten along. They never actually had a real fight before, not like Legend and Wars, but itâs always been a known thing that they do NOT like each other.Â
Dawn has also always been more aggressive and headstrong so they think she will shake things up. Dawn has also been causing issues since Hyrule, who she was close with, got sent in so itâll be good to get her off their plates.Â
Dawn adjusts well to being sent in and Artemis hesitantly greets her. Itâs obvious that the memory erasure works well because they have no recollection of each other and begin to get along with each other well.Â
Artemis settles in Dawn giving her a tour of the glade. When Dawn asks about the maze entrances Artemis tenses up and tells her about her theory. She shows her the gifts that were sent after she completed a puzzle. She asks Dawn not to go inâŠ
And Dawn agrees. She thinks itâs a worthy theory to test and the glade provides enough.Â
So for almost another month Dawn and Artemis live a happy, cottagecore, life in the glade.Â
HYLIA unceremoniously sends in Aurora whoâs always been stubborn. It works.Â
Shortly after welcoming her in, Aurora points at the maze and asks about it. Artemis and Dawn explain about why their avoiding it and Aurora just basically goes: Okay well Iâm not doing that.Â
And they canât stop her. After Aurora starts running the maze Dawn begins to follow bc it doesnât really matter anymore and eventually Artemis is just: âfuk u guys.â And starts running it too.
As always pls lmk what you guys think!
Looks like a pretty big no! Honestly, very very fair! A big thank you to those who commented, youâve all given me some very good things to think on. I wonât go down the death and destruction route but I might eventually post a Bad End type of thing. Ty everyone!!
in the series a lot of people die and itâs pretty meaningful. Iâm also a fan of whump and letâs be honest. DRAMA. So that being said, I think it would keep things spicy. But. I wonât do it if everyone is strongly opposed.
