can't affirm the "i am" statements without feeling disconnected? don't worry fam, i got you

initially when i started affirming, i had extreme self-worth & self esteem issues. i struggled with being overweight & couldn't really say the "i am" affirmations without my body literally rejecting it. i found a way that helped me so much. when i first started consciously affirming, i wrote down my affirmations : "i am beautiful", "i am healthy & glowing", "i am worthy of deserving love in every body shape or form" , "i have the body of a goddess" , "i have a tiny waist" etc

i felt so fucking disconnected & the affirmations seemed so far away from who i genuinely felt like in the moment. it felt unnatural & delusional. ofcourse i had just learned about the law & did not honestly trust it wholeheartedly. i would speak my affirmations into the mirror, but with a twist - instead of "i am", i flipped my affirmations to "you are". pointing to the mirror i would say - "you are beautiful", "you're stunning", "you have the body of a goddess", "you absolutely deserve everything you desire", "you're a powerful manifester" etc.

why this feels easier to me : the "i am" statements put pressure on you to feel confident & secure when really you don't feel like that's you in the moment. "you are" statements help you detach from your current state & it feels way easier to compliment someone else than yourself if you've had a pattern of self worth issues. so imagine this as a conversation in the mirror with someone you love and trust (aka the new you!) , reminding them of what they deserve. you can eventually switch to "i am" affirmations when you feel comfortable or confident enough. you are actually worthy of everything you desire & active unlearning of self hatred & old assumptions is important but don't be hard on yourself! it takes a lot of guts to rewrite new assumptions over shitty old stories. i'm glad you're doing that. i'm so proud of you!

also!!!! feel free to affirm whatever, however & whenever you feel like. affirm in the language & tone you feel most comfortable in. affirming may feel uncomfortable in the beginning because you're rewriting years worth of shitty thought patterns & your brain will go 'wtf' at times. so what do you do? keep affirming! you won't feel like this forever! and don't worry about the tense. if you're someone who feels like "it is done" feels like a scam or doesn't feel real, you can still affirm, "i know i'm gonna get my desire, it has no other choice" or "my manifestation is coming to me any minute now, it's already mine!" you can affirm in the future, past, present, whatever tense you want to. make your own rules & learn what works best for you!

PL6NETGIRL’S LESSON FOR TODAY: THE ISSUE WITH ASKING OTHERS FOR AFFIRMATIONS TO MANIFEST YOUR DESIRES

okay so i see a lot of people in my messages + inbox asking me to make affirmations for them because the ones they received from others “didn’t work” or saying stuff like “affirming doesn’t work” ..

firstly, i just want to say that i AM NOT making affirmations for anyone anymore . go ask another blogger . yes they’ll tell you what you want to hear but i’m going to actually help you out lol.

secondly, for the ones who keep crying saying “affirming doesn’t work” you’re literally affirming almost every second. you thinking “i’m so hungry i could literally eat a whole cow” is an affirmation. your conversations with your friends are affirmations. your 3d is LITERALLY affirmations you persisted in (some not on purpose) which eventually hardened into a fact.

now, this is the issue with y’alls affirmations. your affirmations are supposed to be a sentence that you would regularly say if you had your desire(s). that’s why some people see results using another person’s affirmations because that’s the way they talk as well, while others might not see results because they don’t speak like that at all. i got every single thing i desired by affirming with my own personal affirmations because my affirmations were actually something i would regularly say.

What is self concept?

Self concept is how you perceive the world as a whole. How you view yourself, and people, what you think you deserve, how fast you get your manifestatios etc.

Your self concept has developed and evolved over the years with each passing thought you have entertained. Which also means your self concept is constantly changing.

How your self concept is developed= Your 3D shows you something ---> You create a thought about it ---> Which could then solid further into an assumption or a belief ---> which then has an effect on your self concept. Whether it’s beneficial to you or not depend on those thoughts. ---> Then the 3D shows you more evidence to support your self concept

For example, if you had an ex boyfriend that treated you badly ---> Then you entertained the thought that all men are trash and don’t know how to treat you right ---> And because you entertained that thought it then solids into an assumption which has an impact on your sc ---> Causing that assumption to manifest into your reality, showing solid evidence that, in fact, men are trash

Your self concept is the key to what’s currently manifesting in your reality. Whether it’s good or not.

So as the creator of your reality, it is important to keep a close eye on which thoughts you are entertaining in your conscious mind.

How can i improve my self concept?

It’s easy, bby. Just decide you have the most perfect self concept ever.

Telling yourself all the the time that you need to work on your self concept because it’s ‘crappy’ is still living in the old story. So instead decide you already have a perfect self concept and persist in the new story. Live as if you have that perfect self concept.

And every time a negative thought comes around telling you that you in fact you don’t have that perfect self concept, just flip it around into a positive. It’s all about repetition. It doesn’t matter how many doubts you have as long as you don’t give them any power over both your self concept and manifestation. It’s you that give them power, so you can also leave them powerless.

A lot of people are sharing the limiting belief that you need a 100% perfect self concept in order to manifest but that’s total bs. It helps to have a good self concept, sure. But it’s not necessary.

I used to have this limiting belief when it came to manifesting my sp. I used to believe that the reason why I don’t have my sp is because I have a bad self concept. And every time I affirmed I felt like I wasn’t doing enough. As you can tell, I was stuck in the old story instead of living in the new one. So learn from my mistakes!

Right on to the methods on how to improve that mindset of yours:

❤︎︎ Visualisation/ SATS. Just play a scenario in your head of you having a perfect self concept that makes you feel good and that in fact you do have a good self concept.
