PSA: The Pink Flashing Experience Survey is STILL ACCEPTING RESPONSES!

If you already participated, thank you so, so much. The survey has been revised as of mid-November to add more questions and will now probably take at least 30 minutes to complete in full. It is detailed. You should not attempt to complete it on mobile away from your simming computer.

The survey is for ALL TS2 players, whether you have pink flashing in your game or not.

I now anticipate releasing the analysis report in early January 2024. For your data to meaningfully contribute to this analysis, a response deadline of December 15, 2023 is being established.

Cottonwood Hills: a Sunset Valley makeover!

The various subhoods (with their lot sizes) can be viewed here.

What’s changed?

Grass and rock textures have been replaced.

Island has been made playable.

Denser residential area lot placement.

Additional or modified lots (including lots suitable for IP gameplay, see subhoods post for details regarding sizes).

Minor road edits.

Replaced all palm trees, mixed cottonwood trees in with the blackgum trees and added various other vegetation.

Added various decoration throughout the world, including signs, traffic lights, billboards etcetera (see scenery pictures for details).

Street names have been altered to match tree theme.

Important notes:

World size: 56.3MB.

This world is empty, unpopulated and tagged as a ‘normal world’!

All lots are empty, except for the waterfall lot (as I didn’t want to mess up the rock placement, so I left it in place).

All of SSV’s routing issues should be fixed, please message me if you come across any problems.

My recent SSV downloads all fit Cottonwood Hills. I will be adding exact locations for Cottonwood Hills to future uploads.

Most original SSV spawners are still in place (with various other spawners added).

Cottonwood Hills has SSV’s original lighting and water resources, as I use Brntwaffles’ lighting mod (Fresh cut day 2.5 with Lucky Palms water).

To build your own diving lot and make it playable, please follow this excellent tutorial (you will find one diving area lot in the ocean, but you can add more in Edit World).

If you’re having trouble placing a lot, but it has the appropriate size: go into buy/build mode on the empty lot, place one object (can be anything), go back to edit town, bulldoze the lot so it’s empty again. You should now be able to place your lot.

Requirements:

Patch 1.55.

Expansions: WA, AMB, LN, PETS, SHT, SPN, UNI, IP.

Store worlds: Monte Vista, Sunlit Tides, Lucky Palms, Lunar Lakes, Aurora Skies.

ATS3 Update | Ilona likes Ikea | the Living-Room

One more Ikea inspired set! :p This time, here’s some pieces of furniture for the living-room. I might make more later, but for now, it’s all I’ve been able to mesh. :D

Candle stick lights up with real flames (if you have Granthes script installed); LIATORP surfaces have a lot of slots, including below glass; KARLSTAD seatings have 3 color channels (cushions, base & feet). By the way, I’m meshing all these objects, none are Sims 2 Ikea conversions.

Hello Fruitvillevillage! :-D I'm not sure why box has (once again) trouble re-directing links, hopefully it's a temporary issue. Anyhow, I made a quick redirect (download here, and you need this addon: chrome / firefox) which seems to work as it should? I've tested the links on the page you sent and the next page, and they all re-direct correctly but do let me know if I messed up somewhere :-) for those of you who don't want to install the redirector, here is how I solved it:

ATS3 Update | Ilona’s Kitchen Accessories

Finally the last part of the Ikea kitchen, with accessories, and tiny pieces of furniture, like kitchen cart or step tool (both usable at surfaces). Next time, I’ll probably make the bathroom. And then… well, it might depend on how you’re fed up or not with that theme! ;D

Update of the Eco-Café Counter

Silly me had tested that counter with the only sink that caused no problem with, but with any other sinks, ugly pieces of the counter showed up. It’s now fixed. I’m sorry about that!

You know those times when you are in your teens, and you have that one stage you’re obcessing over a thing, and you merge that thing with another one of your favorite thing and you kinda go for that vibe... that’s my url in a nutshell I guess, too much into Wolverine, but it is still a simblr. Because I wanted to make CC specifically for Sims 3 and Sims 2, now I only want to do CC for 2, so... yeah

Because it goes back to what I explained in the first question, also it’s the cover of the first wolverine comic I’ve ever owned, and there’s also a bit of... “Ow the Edge” teen vibe as well... probably need to change that now that I’m thinking about that

It’s like... default stuff, I liked it, it’s functional... I might change it too eventually

What’s your post with the most notes?

That has to be my coffeesmith project post with all the custom espresso bars and their espresso machine counterparts, aparently people really like those, though I might be concerned not everyone downloaded the proxy GUID mod that let’s the espresso bars spawn npc baristas if the lot is unowned... but hey, it’s other people’s games, not mine.

Unsure and afraid to count, probably not that many, although I do try to follow back most people who follow me and also have a Sims 2 Simblr... so who knows

I haven’t, and I’d rather not throw hands, want to avoid conflict as much as possible, I’m not a very conflictuous person, it might happen, but I try my best that it doesn’t

How do you feel about ‘you need to reblog this’ posts?

Well, on one hand, I understand that people want the issues highlighted in those posts to have a broader reach, on the other, not everyone has to reblog everything, specially if they are trying to keep their blogs under certain themes, they’re fine, maybe a bit pushy, but they are fine, nonetheless.

Depends of the game and if I’m feeling it to be honest, but for the most part, yeah

Which of your mutuals do you think is tumblr famous?

I don’t check, probably there’s a couple of my mutuals with a larger following, but I see it more as a vast community rather than someone being Tumblr famous, Also, fame is subjective, I might think a lot of people I know have a large following, while in fact that might not be the case.
