Jack can't contain his emotions in just his body. he externalises his love, his anguish, his hate, his frustration into any medium that will bend to his will just enough to become his own. His paintings not only depict beautiful landscapes, but also the freedom he wants; the freedom he needs. The music he listens to is filled to overflowing with annotations and marks only jack can hear; the way certain songs get him crying.

Jack only sees himself as a husk- a skeleton of what could have been, if only Jack was given a little more. If only jack had been given a family, he might not have more than half of his personality and traumas displayed on his walls. If jack had been given a family, maybe he would just be better. Maybe it would all be fixed.

you ever sang that section with a group of your best friends before? you know the section. anyway yeah its about the most therapeutic musical theatre can possibly get.

and here it is! my favorite song that i was in. the energy in this song is so incredibly high and i just always felt that the ensemble was having just as much fun as i was.

Jack Kelly’s real name is Francis Sullivan, that’s just common knowledge. But that might not be the whole ordeal.

My dad is from Cork, Ireland and is semi-fluent in Gaelic. Today we were having a conversation about Irish names, and he said that his favorite name is “Proinnsias” (pronounced pron-chee-us) which is the Gaelic name for Francis. Considering that most newsies are first or second generation immigrants from Ireland, that means that Jack Kelly’s real name is Proinnsias Sullivan. But that’s not even the best part. Proinnsias in Gaelic means “little French man”. So Jack Kelly’s real name is really “Little French man Sullivan” and I can’t stop laughing about it.
