durarara shizaya be the change you want to see in the world izaya orihara shizuo heiwajima i made a thing a cheap imitation i've been holding off on posting these here for so long whoops i'm so shy... check out my lemonade guys i've been very motivated to make various things for this fic as a result of this book club i've been hosting for my friends i actually made the first image (not the video) like two years ago? back around when i first read the fic and started being annoying about it to my friends never posted it though because the shizuo i drew was ugly!!! and the shizuo i drew for the second image this time around is still ugly!! unfortunately :( well anyways if it isn't clear the images are both for chapter 19 while the video is for chapters 28 to 29 and a little bit of 30 lol also i know izaya's actual problem isn't fucking shizuo but kissing him lol but it was funnier to keep it like this you can check out more of this deranged behaviour over at my twitter of the same name i know not everyone wants to go there though especially with the current situation... so i'll try to bring over the more memorable stuff to post in batches over here which i think is the stuff i did any art for since i've made a lot of multimedia type things dedicated to particular chapters as “marketing” for my friends but i'm not sure they'll make much sense out of context so my plan is to compile all of everything i've made for the fic during the book club into a powerpoint that i'll try to keep for posterity because ngl i feel i went kinda hard with certain things that maybe only two people will appreciate but i'll do it for those two people out there also it's a whole book club for aci!! *i'd* want to see what some random people have been up to with a book club for this fic side note i wonder if having so many fucking tags on your own post is a bad look... idk it's so much clutter but i have too many things to say!! i look back at my own previous tags and i physically can't bring myself to read them ahhhh i hope anyone's enjoying them anyways

reblog crossover drrr shizaya izaya orihara shizuo heiwajima kgpr shizayaweek2023 shigaeru oh my god you have so much artistic rizz my definition of that being that you instill everything with so much style and charm like dude i just love how you make it all look also you drew them as kids and i have a soft spot for seeing characters as their younger selves we understandably don't see too much of that for these two so it feels extra special aaaa their little squishy faces <333 little shizuo is so round waoooo his expressions are adorablee and he has bandages aw izaya pushing out the rope of the swing and shizuo's cautious lean away hunch is so charming ahh rizzing up those shot redraws izaya's expression there with the soft-edged cheekiness so cute and childishly confident they'll make a menace out of him yet i kinda wonder how much they'd know each other at this point? like would they be friends or do they meet on the swings i like the idea of kidzaya who doesn't get a lot of attention seeing kidzuo who draws a lot of attention and like idk but maybe this is izaya reaching out for attention and seeing how this odd kid would react if he– it's probably a rash accident at first but once he realises the timeloop he figures the solution is to make shizuo die in his place maybe to shizuo this is just the first kid willing to approach him and oh he hates how he attracts danger and hurts people beyond his control now i'm interested in seeing how feelings of hate might develop over time as izaya actively manipulates scenes that get to shizuo's head maybe after watching shizuo die in his place a few times to no avail izaya starts to think this is a certain kind of purgatory since he's a nerd like that and this only happened because he approached the monster and led him to believe that he wasn't one and the only way out is to push shizuo into killing him with his own hands as he looks his own monstrosity in the eyes and accepts that he much prefers the face he sees when he's the one dying rather than looking away and pretending that dying like that makes him more human and shizuo realises the kid is ruining his life on purpose and why did he ever feel bad for him from the start both just lonely kids lashing out at what they think is true about themselves and each other until they've bent it into some mangled truth

reblog drrr not raw shizaya izaya orihara shizuo heiwajima soultiio ahh this is so nice i really like the composition two lonely people sort of leaning on each other but still feeling distant i don't know i just like physically they're close to each other shizuo settled at the back of izaya's neck but mentally they're just sorry my words bad the heart and mind symbolism with them is so good and the colours look very like an open wound or something the blood all over their face and shizuo's brown roots they look messy in a good way shizuo's expression and izaya's angled profile they're so clean and simple at conveying that desolation

durarara wooo 3d shizaya izaya orihara shizuo heiwajima i made a thing fun little thing someday!!! a cheap imitation chapter 46 lookitem go there's sound too but it's nothing crazy sound design is not my passion i love it but i'm not too good at it yet do you know how hard it was for me to visualise the spherical form when i was drawing the uh ball skins i'm just sostupid when it comes to anything spacial awareness and depth perception is zero but other than that this one was soooorta chill even though i kinda had to freak out about it and finish it after everyone had already read and spoke about the chapter.... i made it work though i very much desire someone to tell me they see these and can draw the connections between their respective chapters they're very special to me hope someone thinks they're as cool as i did while i was making them also my captions.... some of them are better than others but i think they're kinda neat (i remastered it a little you can check some early reblogs if you want to see what it looked like before)

reblog again drrr comic what a loser i just cant izaya orihara this guy jmbad he almost comes off as a normal dude for a moment but of course not dub izaya really said ''i'm still feeling ouchie'' how can anyone take this man seriously watching him have to do normal person things while he's stuck in hospital was so funny he is unable fantasizes about pissing shizuo off demands attention and gets none uygfdhfhg the way he keeps having to reassure himself that yes his stabbing made the news but no one actually cares the way he tries to act all casual about it but he's just super obnoxious and petty so so desperate for attention he took psychic damage from all the boredom turned nobody came for me expect for this one person i don't even remember back through to this person i don't even remember cared enough about me to not commit suicide and came for me instead he looked ridiculous the whole time and you captured that so well what a clean and expressive style
