I'm leaving alone but at least I'm leaving
I really appreciate that crystal isn't villainized in order to ship payneland, at least from what I've seen.
Enemies to lovers but it's just opening and closing shift workers
I think something so cruel about pearl/x is how the cycle repeats. Her mother spent her life looking after and taking care of her father and in turn, Howard spends his life taking care of pearl and going along with her actions. Like both pearls mother and her husband could have left and escaped the relationship "holding them down" but they stayed and persisted and ruined their lives for the ones they loved.
Macklemore has always been the man. Like same love is the song that got my brother to accept my sexuality and question the church. This guy is responsible for so much growth and love. And know with his vocal support of ending the genocide more people are seeing how great he is.
There's something there in how during the pandemic people were a lot more politically active in America, there were protests and people made an effort for change. But that was when they had time, and now that the world is "back to normal" there seems to be much less effort. And I think part of that is we're all tired now, we're back to work and to school, and stressed about our life so it's hard to go beyond that and care about others. Not that people don't care, but it takes a lot of effort to actively step for change. There's something to keeping citizens focused on other things, overly worked and chronically tired just to make rent. It keeps citizens down and unable to band together, unable to cause actual change. And I think that that's why there's a difference in people's response to Ukraine vs Gaza. I know part of is surely race for some but I think a lot of it is that private citizens don't have the resources or time to focus on a conflict away from home anymore.
Israel is attacking Rafah rn & here is a list of gofundmes you can donate to. Please hurry!
Ok so extremely niche fandom BUT- the enemy series by Charlie higson is simply phenomenal and everyone should read it. Also Kyle and Ed should have kissed
I saw the last voyage of the demeter and I flipping loved it, I saw it at like 11 at night so that might have added to the horror, but it was so good. Looking here though, I think the general consensus is: if you've read Dracula you might not like it but: if you haven't read it and you're just going for a vampire movie, it's great and you'll enjoy it
