fellas, is it gay to have a homoerotic rivalry with your space ranger partner??
HELLO???
oh??
Okay but like seriously this is crazy I wish I could follow and like twice-
a pirate and a fish
This is in reference to when pearl was in the water and gem was on land, and the fact pearl wore a fish head most of the time.
Some Jewel duo art (I have no idea if thats a duo name or not)
Wow something not tmnt related
Something about how Scar, who was playing all fields in the last episode, ended up teaming with Pearl purely by accident, a situation that was completely, "I was standing next to her when you guys decided to fight and now I guess this is the side I'm on"
and yet he stuck with her until the very end.
Something about how Pearl offers him. Multiple times! That he can kill her to get ten hearts so he can fight Gem. And Scar refuses each time and says "No, we're doing this together."
Something about Pearl reminding him that if she gets the kill, she'll have more hearts than him in the following fight, and apologizing, and Scar saying "That's okay, that's how it goes, you did so well!"
Something about how even when they turn to fight each other, they still have a sense of camaraderie, and Pearl's warning about the Zombie approaching Scar from behind was genuine.
Something about how her death was to fall damage instead of direct weapon damage while Scar was distracted by the zombie.
Something about how a tenuous spur-of-the-moment alliance involving a man who had no friends the whole season ended up being the most loyal ending since 3rd Life.
Something about how Scar is the only victor we did not see die at the end.
THIS. THISSSSS.
THIS IS MY NEW SCAR HC
So, there's been a great deal of debate about which phenomenon should be assigned to each winner once they've claimed their crown. The first three were pretty obvious, people are still undecided on Martyn (he's the Sea in my book, but this post isn't about him) and now the people are once again split on Scar. I've seen Earth, Mercury, but my personal favourite has been Eclipse.
My reasons for this are as follows: who even decided each winner has to be assigned a planet? It seems so limiting. What happens once we run out of suitable planets? Not to mention the point of these assignments in the first place was iconography, which gets hard when you're stuck with the same circular planets. (Not to mention that Scott somehow being every single star just does not at all fit with this.)
It just makes more sense to shuck this guideline and ascribe the winners phenomena - just like actual gods. And what better for Scar than the crossing of the Sun and Moon, his two significant allies? A rare event - the day plunged into darkness for minutes at a time only for it all to pass as if nothing happened. The light in the darkness, the darkness in light. A reminder that not even something as certain as the rising of the sun and the setting of the moon can be trusted without reservation.
also, always find it surreal when i see ppl talk abt cc's books and, yk, not being crazy abt them. like, what. what. r we talking abt the same books rn???
ppl being normal abt tsc is so wild. how r u not obsessed w it? how have u not hunted down every detail abt it? read every book u can? (yes, all 17 (released) novels and 6 companion books). memorised every single piece of info abt a series that isnt even out yet?
being a fan of a normal author who is not Cassandra Clare must be so boring. like you follow their insta where they post the singular commission of their main characters they made as promo for a book that comes out in a month. you hear down the grapevine that they teased a new book at an event so you know to look out for it to preorder. after finishing a trilogy you hope that maybe they will write a short story follow up or have them briefly appear in a future spin off. and then you move on with your life and pick up the next book. it's like a different world.
“we have to stop straight men from playing gay characters” AND KILL FITMC???????
(repost bcz i made a mistake in the previous version)
after like- nearly a month of drawing these goobers, im finally done :D i love them so much <333
yall, quick. whos read paradise lost (and biblical mythology?). we need 'em here stat
Okay, I’m just ridiculously curious about if/how you’re going to portray Lucifer in the upcoming TSC books, and I’m wondering if you can give us any info, snippets, anything about him and/or the other Princes of Hell. It’s probably too spoilery, and probably too early, for much of anything, but I’m really fascinated with how you’ve incorporated the Princes of Hell into the TSC world, as well as the other dimensions. I’d just love to know more. Thank you! Hope you’re doing well! ♥️
Hmmm. I don't think I can say specifically, but I can say that TWP is something of a return to the biblical/demonic mythos of The Mortal Instruments. A lot of what happens turns on various pieces of biblical mythology (since we're dealing with Lucifer!) and references to Paradise Lost/Dante.
