PLEASE REBLOG if you (male or female) believe it is perfectly okay and natural for a guy of any age to cry
Merlin: There's something i want to tell you. I can talk to that dragon outside because i am a dragon lord and also a wizard slash warlock.
Gwiane: cool I'm an Aries.
Gentle reminder that Jesus was an immigrant, whose parents had to run from their own land in a quality alike to modern refugees. Gentle reminder that Jesus helped the poor and unfortunate and despised the greedy and miser, “It is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God”. And let’s not forget the cleansing of the temple.
He protected women and rightfully blamed men for their own sins, even going as far as to tell them “If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. (…) And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away”.
He didn’t ever speak of abortion, but on Exodus 21 it’s stated that “If men struggle with each other and strike a woman with child so that she gives birth prematurely, yet there is no injury, he shall surely be fined as the woman’s husband may demand of him, and he shall pay as the judges decide. But if there is any further injury, then you shall appoint as a penalty life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise”. Which shows us a woman is to be valued over that which she carries, for the loss of the fetus would be compensated with as little as a fine, but the life of the woman merited as high a penalty as life for life.
Anything else Christians use to justify their anti-abortion posture is taken out of context (seriously, they use verses like Genesis 9:6: “Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in his own image”, as if it wasn’t very obviously speaking about murder among adult men. Or verses such as Exodus 23:7b: “Do not kill the innocent and righteous”, which, to be applied to abortion, requires us to understand an unborn fetus as “innocent and righteous”.
So no, he definitely wouldn’t agree with nazis. Nor with American Conservatives.
I’m in a love-hate situation with this fandom but the idea of defenders of tomorrow is fucking hilarious to me so here’s my messy-ass contribution

Vet clinics often have litters of kittens to raise. Either they’re too young for a shelter, too sickly, or the clinic intends to adopt them out when they’re big enough. Whatever the reason, nurses often end up raising kittens and giving them ‘temporary’ names.
The intention of these temporary names is that if you give the kitten a stupid name, you have something to call it other than ‘the middle black male’, but because it’s a stupid name you wont get emotionally attached and end up keeping it. Again.
Which is how some nurses end up with cats that have names like ‘Flea bus’ and ‘Trash bag’.
your sourdough starter fucking bit me
Yeah ngl at this point it literally feels like my man Hozier needs to release a prerequisite reading list for every song he writes.
one of the most important things, perhaps the most important thing I have learned in my life is that nice people can fuck each other up in monstrous ways. people can be bone deep kind and loving and self reflective and still lash out under pressure. people can be earnestly neighbourly and charitable and hospitable and generous and still find themselves in situations where they become selfish. people can be well meaning and easygoing and gregarious and hold deep seated opinions that turn them into vicious little bullies under the right conditions. nobody is just one thing, and nobody stays one way. every person is a kaleidoscope and they will surprise you. you will surprise yourself. it's not a warning and it's not a judgement and it's not an excuse, and it's certainly not a reason to stop trying or to stop trusting. it is just a fact.
an excellent tweet.
