Amo este fic, Kudo es un Simp de Yoichi en la gran mayoría de au's, y sinceramente siento que es muy acertado.🥺♥️

@whensaturnfalls I hope you enjoy your Three Weeks of Trioholders prize!
@fractiflos Thank you for giving me ideas :)
The most interesting part of the FrankenStan au, at least in my opinion, is the aftermath, and its absolutely heartbreaking that so few people talk about it.
Imagine you're Stan. Your brother, that you thought hated you (and in some cases literally killed you), brought you back to life. Now you have to live with the knowledge that you died. You may not even be entirely you anymore, depending on how damaged your body was by the time he started piecing you back together. Imagine waking up with skin and organs and bones that aren't your own, and now you have a good idea about what happens after death, more so than even those who had near death experiences. You were cold. Your heart stopped pumping for weeks, months, maybe even years.
And now imagine you're Ford. You've spent all your time since your brother's death trying to bring him back to life. The man you thought ruined your life. The man who always was there for you, ever since you shared the womb. Your best friend. Your other half. His blood is on your hands figuratively and literally. You have all the time in the world to consider every mistake you've made, every choice that's led to him laying there on the metal table of your lab, cold as your heart on the day he was kicked out. But, after putting your blood, sweat, and tears into bringing him back to life, he's there. He's alive. There's so much you want to say. So many apologies you want to make.
And then you realize. He's alive, but the world is dangerous. It took your brother away once, whose to say it won't do it again? You've seen his blood, his organs. You know first hand how fragile his body is. The world isn't safe for him. You couldn't protect him once. That's not going to happen again.
Yoichi looks like he could get held by the back of his shirt easily and look like a baby cat while it's mother is holding it
second won't do it but third has.
Stanley Pines. My favorite antihero. I love him so much.
We have all seen the concept that being in a relationship with a villain is better than a hero. The hero will sacrifice you to save the world versus the villain who will sacrifice the world to save you.
Sanley Pines decides to do that for his Estranged Brother. He decides to risk the entire dimension so that he could get his brother back. His brother who
Stanley assumed hated him.
Had already not spoken to Stanley for 10 years.
upon speaking to him for the first time in 10 years, tries to send Stanley away permanently.
Stanley will always blame himself for losing in the first place. Even tho both times it was an accident.
And to do so Stanley who
has been considered by everybody, including himself, to be "the dumb twin"
was written off by his high school as a FUTURE FAILURE,
was disowned by his family for his mistake,
spends 30 years learning quantum mechanics, welding, circuitry, and numerous other academic/trade fields to bring his brother home. All things that were originally done by Tech Genius Fiddleford McGucket or GT kid Stanford who still had help from a literal actual God/demon. And STANLEY IS SUCCESSFUL.
Stanley SUCCESSFULY fakes his own death to make sure that nobody questions the disappearance of his brother in order to buy himself enough time to get his brother back. He did this so effectively that his own family bought it.
To be incredibly clear, Stanley does become a traditional hero when he sacrifices himself to save the world. But also, Stanley didn't do it to save the world. He did it to save his family, spesificaly his brother, niece and nephew. And he does it by perfectly impersonating the brother that He hasn't known in 40 years. He impersonates him so well that he TRICKS THE LITERAL ACTUAL DEITY THAT HIS BROTHER HAD A RELATIONSHIP WITH. Because as dumb and aloof and unbothered as Stanley Pines tries to appear, he is genuinely one of the smartest and most caring characters in gravity falls. It's just not the book smarts and conventional love that everybody typically looks for. (Stanley censoring himself in front of the kids while also letting them break the law is hilarious and I love him)
This is not to say that Mr mystery did nothing wrong. There are a lot of things that he did wrong and a lot of things that he could have handled better but. That being said he is still my favorite because he is so human and still tries so hard. I don't know, man, there is something super endearing about the amount of effort he puts into his family. He's an incredibly well written character. And listen I understand that 30 years is a long time and if I was Stanford I would be mad but also, but if my supposed screw-up sibling managed to understand and rebuild a portal But I needed help from a literal actual god/demon to create I would be impressed as hell. And Ford only said thank you because he felt obligated to. (Which again is the hero mindset of all sacrifice you to save the world because Ford is sacrificing his relationship with Stanley again to save the world)(and Stanley just wants his brother back so even though Ford doesn't mean the apology Stan still takes it because at least it was said)
I know this comes off anti Ford, which is not how it's intended, I love Ford so much and I'll do a post for him later. (If I remember) I just feel like Stanley is slept on so much for being such a wonderful character. And gahhhhh this show is so good and I love these old men.
i definitely feel like we as a fandom got over kudoichi situation TOO QUICKLY, BRO!!
From time to time I remember them and my chest hurts, y'know??
Kudoichi was a fucking tragedy. one of the most beautiful i've seen, but FUCK it hurts.
I haven't forgotten about them. not at all. never.
I will see you in the next life
People: AFO killed Yoichi without hesitation or remorse! Yoichi was just a toy! He never really cared about him! He was born evil! So GLAD we finally have an evil villain that is just evil and doesn’t have a meaning!
AFO: spends 100+ years blaming Kudo for Yoichi’s death, heavily projecting to the point he kills all of Kudo’s family.
Embalms and carries around Yoichi’s hand for 100+ years. (He also refers to the hand as Yoichi in the present)
“Talks” to Yoichi in his head(this happens multiple times). Says he “needs”/“it’s all for nothing” without Yoichi.
Admits he hates thinking back on when Kudo snidely told him he killed Yoichi because it brings back all of the terrible memories(which would include Yoichi’s death and their horrible childhood. Also, see the last image for that too).
Says that all color has left the world after he heard Yoichi breaking into pieces; only a gaping hole of loss remains.
Screams at Deku not to look at him (though all he keeps saying is how he wants everyone to look at him) when Deku realizes he’s not a monster beyond understanding, not a demon lord, but just a very lonely man.
Begs to see Yoichi’s eyes, his face—you can’t go! Screams at Yoichi that he loves him more than anything, he’s hopeless without him—he’s nothing.
Horikoshi’s own words from the Da Vinci Magazine interview:
“By stripping away the things that the diabolical villain wears, I find that there are parts of him that I can empathize with as a human being. I’m going to look for it to see if it exists”
People: …nuh…nuh-uh!
Ay, como amó ésto.♥️
Incorrect AFO&yoichi brothers quotes bc they're cool characters
------
AFO: Here's some advice
Yoichi: I didn't ask for any
AFO: Too bad. I'm stuck here with my thoughts and you're the only one who talks to me
------
AFO: Am I going too far?
Yoichi: No, no, no. You went too far about seven hours ago. Now you're going to prison.
------
Yoichi: Do you have any skeletons in your closet?
AFO: You mean literally or figuratively?
Yoichi: Honestly, the fact that I have to specify...
------
AFO: I'm a reverse necromancer.
Yoichi: Isn't that just killing people?
AFO: Ah, technicality.
------
Yoichi: How petty can you get?
AFO: I once edited a Wikipedia article to win an argument I was wrong about.
------
Yoichi: Violence isn't the answer.
AFO: You’re right.
Yoichi: *sighs in relief*
AFO: Violence is the question.
Yoichi: What?
AFO, bolting away: And the answer is yes.
Yoichi, running after him: NO-
------
AFO: i went through an entire character arc during quarantine
AFO: i became more evil if you’re curious
Yoichi: We're still in quarantine, don't worry, there's time for a redemption arc still!
AFO: i’m going to get worse on purpose
------
Yoichi: Stop buying plastic skeletons for Halloween! It's terrible for the environment!
AFO: Yeah! Locally sourced, all natural skeletons are much more environmentally friendly!

Shadow of the Forgotten
My submission for @aimportantdragoncollector ‘s Three Weeks of Triholders, (Although this piece is featuring Duoholders 😅)
I created an au based around a Nyavka Yoichi and a woodsman Second . .
Nyavka are a type of Mavka, a spirit in Ukrainian folklore.
One prominent feature is that Nyavka have no back so you can see their spine . . . They often live in bodies of water like rivers or lakes in the forest (my mother for instance first told me about them as a way of warning me away from a nearby river lol). Some interpretations have them leading men to their doom and drowning them, while other interpretations have them being more benevolent caretakers of the forest although these two are not mutually exclusive!
While I'm no writer and am still coming up with ideas I believe this au would go something like this:
Yoichi and AFO were born in a mountain village surrounded by forests and bordered by a fierce river The village believed the twins to be unlucky due to their odd striking white hair and the death of their mother during their birth and they are shunned.
The two are only really allowed to stay in the village as hands to help in the fields, life is unpleasant but the two make due as they grow up. One winter when the two are around 11 or so Yoichi gets very sick. However he is refused treatment, resources are low and they village do not want to waste supplies on the weakest of the twins who would likely die before he is an adult anyways.
AFO tries to steal him medicine anyways but this goes wrong and the two are driven out of the village when he is caught. They attempt to flee across the river into the surrounding woods. Unfortunately the water is freezing and they drown.
Due to their tragic death the brothers come back as Nyavka and now dwell in the surrounding forest.
A newly undead AFO takes on a much more vindicative and aggressive role, the number of deaths caused by drowning in the nearby area skyrockets lol. Yoichi on the other hand dwells deeper in the woods and keeps to himself as much as his brother allows.
Many years later, Yoichi sees a young man with a scar across his face and striking orange hair seemingly fleeing from something. He is intrigued and decides to observe this stranger . . .
(And your standard vault escape (forest escape)) story happens from there. :) (with some more twists)
