Ace attorney has some really great unique dads 🥺
(28) Ace Attorney comic 02- thinking…
Phoenix Wright looks like your average cheery protagonist but he is exasperated by everything and constantly thinking sarcastic one-liners about how stupid everyone else is (including his own friends).
Miles Edgeworth’s sprites make him look like he is about to murder a man but in reality he cant because he’s too busy thinking about his samurai show special interest and having staring contests with himself in the mirror and saying ergo and eureka in the lamest possible contexts.

Thank goodness
No because I love that the advice here is that Atsushi needs to feel strongly.
That what Fyodor and the Headmaster have berated and mocked him for is not a weakness here but a strength.
Atsushi who was told for years that crying was a privilege reserved for others. Atsushi who is so so traumatised and has felt pain so strongly he doesn’t know himself without it.
He’s being told that in order to move forward. In order to keep going and learn, you need to let yourself feel.

One Summer Day
ALTERNATIVE UNIVERSE IN WHICH AKUTAGAWA NEVER OPENED THE ENVELOPE TO SEE GIN'S PICTURE SO ATSUSHI AND HIM ACTUALLY BECAME FRIENDS. AND/OR THE ENVOLVE DIDN'T HAVE GIN'S PICTURE AT ALL.
HE DOESN'T KNOW ATSUSHI IS THE WHOTE REAPER BUT KNOWS OF THE WHITE REAPER.
ATSUSHI STARTS TO WEAR MASKS JUST TO HIDE THE FACT THAT HE IS A MAFIASO.
BAMB! ONE WAY SECRET IDENTITY BEAST SSKK!
That's actually such an insane idea and I need it NOW. It would never happen, because Dazai is a bitch and he won't let me have anything, ever, but suppose he's not in such a goddamn hurry to die, okay?
Atsushi meets Akutagawa and is instantly so taken in by this detective who is able to understand him so well. Akutagawa has no idea Atsushi is a mafioso– suddenly the White Reaper starts hiding his face. Atsushi shows up at the café at random times, hoping to run into Akutagawa again- and he does! He gets to go on dates with the detective, gets to learn more about him and the people at the Agency that he cares about. Tentatively, Atsushi also opens up, tells him about Kyouka.
Then Atsushi learns about Gin, about how much he wants to find his sister, and he thinks "It can't possibly be the same Gin, right?" He's hoping it's not. He's really, really hoping it's not Gin-san, because there's one rule Atsushi should never ever break, and that's to eliminate anyone who inquires about Gin.
The last time he disobeyed Dazai-san's orders...didn't go well.
But Atsushi looks at Akutagawa, at his serene face and dark eyes and small smile when he's really content and thinks, "Just this one thing. Let me keep this one thing."
