The way that both Atsushi and Fitzgerald sought the page to bring back the family that they’ve lost.
follow the yellow rabbit
Kazuma Asougi batshit insane momence
smells just like him
Isn't it ten kinds of insane how similar Oda and Akutagawa truly are? Like, I could make a whole list, but they're actually so alike and it sorta kills me inside.
Described as emotionless killers in their youth?? Taken children under their care, only to watch them die in front of them and then gone on a suicide mission for revenge?? Needed a clear-cut reason to live?? Both recruited in the mafia by Dazai?? Mafia members who don't kill??? The only two main characters to have actually died / have death be a big part of their arc??
Yes, their personalities are different, but I also totally see Akutagawa growing older and maturing out of his anger toward the world (once he finds a reason to live that's not Dazai) and becoming quieter, gentler, maybe picking up writing–
I'm so normal about them, obviously.
No because I love that the advice here is that Atsushi needs to feel strongly.
That what Fyodor and the Headmaster have berated and mocked him for is not a weakness here but a strength.
Atsushi who was told for years that crying was a privilege reserved for others. Atsushi who is so so traumatised and has felt pain so strongly he doesn’t know himself without it.
He’s being told that in order to move forward. In order to keep going and learn, you need to let yourself feel.

Just like Land Before Time…
god i love it when gay people are in evil toxic codependent love with each other
Atsushi seeing Akutagawa's abuse almost first-hand was NOT on my 2025 bingo, I can't believe I lived long enough to see this–
