Romeo primarily listens to New Wave and punk rock, with his favorite artist and bands being David Bowie, The Psychedelic Furs, and Billy Idol!! along with that, he listens to songs from movies like the Rocky horror picture show and shock treatment. Mercutio listens to a mix of funk, rock, and dance, listening to primarily Aerosmith, Red Bone, and Diana Ross!! His taste is fun and confident, and a lot of the songs in his playlist are used during performances

Benvolio is definitely a metal head and kind of goth(?) (only in music taste though) listening to 80s bands like Metallica, Black Sabbath and some Depeche Mode!! He has a loud and moody kind of sound, which is ironic since he’s actually really quiet and subdued

Rosaline listens to a lot of Pop and pop rock, with her favorite artist being Cyndi Lauper, Kate Bush, and Blondie!! She has a very rustic sound

(finally he has more than 2 songs on his playlist yaaaaay!! I’m still figuring his music taste out, so please bear with me)

At the moment, Tybalt, similar to Juliet, primarily listens to 70s rock, primarily listening to Queen and The Rolling Stones!! He’s like the opposite of Juliet though, as his taste im music leans more towards a fast paced kind of sound. I feel like His music taste would be kind of sleazy and sensual

I saw a similar post like this on the Romeo and Juliet tag before and I really wanted to make something like it because I LOVE talking about their music taste, my friend @sloth-with-a-knife definitely inspired and helped in developing their sound (specifically with Juliet and Mercutio) and if you’re wondering why their music is mostly 70s and 80s songs it’s because the au takes place in the 80s!! (Primarily 1985-1986)
