I think I’ve read every Lamia fic in the world twice. I need more. I need it like I need water. Scratch that, I need it like I need coffee.

I need Merlin angst and protective Arthur. It’s what I live (and die) for.

I thinks it’s gotten to the point that I can’t tell canon from fanon anymore. It’s all starting to blend together and I don’t know what’s real.

I think that if Arthur knew how much the druids worshipped Merlin, he would not take it seriously.

Just like how Merlin completely disregards Arthur being king, Arthur would not care in the slightest.

He would be shocked at first, but then he would get used to it. Eventually, he would use it to poke fun at Merlin.

Neither care about the other’s rank, and I think that its the foundation of their friendship.

This is possibly my favorite moment in the series. It’s just such a pure moment between the two of them. There should’ve been more moments like this. I could write a novel based on this scene and I will.

Imagine this

Arthur and Merlin get cursed by a sorcerer/sorceress to feel pain when they get too close to each other. The opposite of the forced proximity trope.

When they finally figure out how the curse works, they don’t seem that worried about it. Arthur jokes about how Merlin was annoying him recently and Merlin mentions getting some time off for once.

However, it’s so hard for them to stay away from each other. They keep accidentally getting too close to one another. It gets so bad that they have to be dragged to Gauis by some knights that found them passed out in the hallway.

Arthur and Merlin are more bothered by the curse than they would care to admit. They make a silent promise that they won’t leave the other alone for at least a week when it’s done.

Arthur Returns to a Crazy Merlin

I need more fanfics where Arthur returns and Merlin is absolutely insane.

Not chaotic (maybe), but absolutely isolated and out of his mind. He’s watch millions of people die, the start of world wars, genocide, plagues, you name it. He’s barely a person anymore.

Arthur finds Merlin, or at least what used to be Merlin, and tries to get through to him. Merlin keeps mumbling in languages that Arthur doesn’t understand.

All this time we thought Merlin would have to help Arthur learn how to live in the present, and it’s the complete opposite. Arthur has to help Merlin learn how to live again.

Merlin’s birthday

I need more fics where Merlin doesn’t know his birthday.

Cause he grew up out in the country, and of course they lose track of the days out there. They don’t have a calendar. It makes sense that he might not know the exact date he was born.

When Arthur finds this out he’s absolutely bewildered, like ‘what do you mean you think you’re 22’.

Arthur makes it his mission to find out the day he was born and surprises Merlin with a party or something.

Arthur: You are the bane of my existence

Merlin: I will leave right now and never come back, say hi to George for me

Arthur: and the object of all my desires

Merlin: wh- I- you- fuck, I’ll stay

Arthur: *going through the kingdoms records* we met a few days before you became my servant didn’t we?

Merlin: Yeah? Why do you ask?

Arthur: We met each other 1,706 days ago

Merlin: 1,706 days of hell

I love the headcannon that Gwaine knew about Merlin’s magic, and without question, kept it a secret.

Gwaine probably saw Merlin use his magic during a fight with bandits (saving everyone in the process) and looked at him for two seconds like ‘I fuckin knew it’

Never talked to Merlin about it, never told a soul. If anyone ever caught on that Merlin had magic he would steer them in the complete opposite direction.

I mean, Merlin never told anyone that he was of noble blood, so it’s only fair obviously.
