You choke on a laugh devoid of humor, listening to the clamber of monsters not far behind, and you wonder what would be a better end between this and them. "My parent has never answered." Their eyes meet yours. "Then, pray to someone who will."
In which, Demigods pray not to the Ancient Olympians, but to the God who they know will answer.
