Regulus who soon learned being an animagus comes in equally is handy to sneak around the castle at night

Regulus who crosses paths as an animagus with James when he was out for a prank, and he couldn’t stay away. its always easier to give into what he wants when he’s a cat

Regulus who finds out James is really good at petting

Regulus who acts like it didn’t happen at all

Regulus who keeps sneaking out to walk around and clear his mind and keeps every once in a while bumping into James, more and more until it’s every night he can’t escape James finding him to play

Regulus who starts actively looking for James because, well, James will find him anyway so let’s save themselves the time

Regulus who once a month can’t find James and james apparently can’t find him either, but he gets visits of a stag in the courtyard

Regulus who one night finds james drunk, after he snuck out of a gryffindor party, and keeps him company until he sobers up. James doesn’t, he talks and talks to the cat. At one point he tells him he reminds him of a boy he likes. they fall asleep together for the first time

Regulus who learned enough about animagi to become one and do silly things, not caring much about the details for the first time in his life. Regulus who therefore doesn’t know animagi can accidentally turn back human in their sleep, o even turn back into animals all without waking up

James who wakes up at 4am in some hallway, still tipsy and with a headache, and looks down to see regulus laying down on top of him fast asleep

James who says “i knew it” before falling back asleep and acting like nothing happened

Regulus who woke up an hour later, a cat again, in horror at how well he slept. He claw James’ hands to jolt him awake before leaving him there and going back to his room

James and Regulus who end up routinely sleeping on James’ bed, because James wants to and Regulus is convinced nobody will know anyway if he’s a cat

Regulus who turns switches between human and animal repeatedly in his sleep and James keeps acting like he doesn’t know but still charms his curtains every time so nobody will ever see

Regulus who wakes up from a bad nightmare in James’ bed and James hurries to comfort and reassure him

Regulus who is still in shock from the nightmare it takes him a second to realize he’s a human… around James

Regulus who takes evem longer to realize James isn’t reacting at all to the fact he is a human in his bed… he is Regulus of all people, in his bed

and then they kiss mwah mwah thank you

RIP Regulus I guess

this is exactly how i picture them haha

like remus and regulus would be perfectly civil with each other before wolfstar get together, perhaps a little teasing from regulus' side because of remus' feelings but not much. then wolfstar get together, and remus realises that regulus is very much NOT polite, instead a hellspawn sent personally to bother and pester him that he'll have to endure for the rest of his life because sirius is his forever.

but he usually gives it as good as he gets so its fine <3

love platonic moonwater but the idea of regulus being a brother in law sent straight from hell is so so funny to me.

OOF now that's an idea

okay imagine after The Prank, Remus starts hanging out with the Slytherin Skittles. He obviously still hangs out with James and Peter, and Lily, Marlene, and Mary, but wherever they are, Sirius tends to follow. So he hangs out with the Skittles. And of course he won't tell them exactly what he and Sirius are arguing about, so he just says it was a prank. A bad prank. A disastrous one.

And it's obviously a new dynamic between the Skittles and Remus. Of course, his friends are fun and free and love pulling off insane pranks, but the Slytherins... they've actually got a bit of crazy to them.

So Barty, my crazy genius, decides that Regulus and Remus should fake-date to get back at Sirius. It's genius -- Sirius's ex-best friend (and still crush that 'no one knows about') dating his brother. Absolutely genius.

And Remus hates Sirius so much -- hates him because he could never hate him, even after what he did -- decides to go along with it.

So Regulus and Remus show up at the Great Hall, holding hands and looking all love-dovey. Barty is giggling so hard he almost gives it away. Sirius is glaring at them from the Gryffindor table, clutching his knife so hard his knuckles are bone white.

But James isn't looking at them at all. And now he won't talk to Remus, either.

Because James has been in love with Regulus for a while now, but he hasn't told anyone. And one of his best mates is holding Regulus's hand, and he wishes so hard it was him instead.

The Marauders decided to go to Vegas and lose James, who didn't want to drink too much because he "wanted to look perfect on the best day of his life". Sirius/Peter who accidentally drug them because they wanted everyone to loosen up and have fun before one of their own is sacrificed to the societal construct that is marriage. Wolfstar who end up marrying when high. The trio steal a cop car, get arrested and use their one phone call to call Regulus.

On the other side of the world in Amsterdam, the Skittles are in a similar predicament - somewhere during the night, they lost regulus. Rosekiller got married as a gag, Pandora is losing a finger and Dorcas started a riot.

Both of their hunt take place at the same time. Neither party lets the other know that the groom is missing.

Does anyone know of a fic like the Hangover films but about Sirius, Remus and Pete trying to find James the day before his wedding with Regulus?

Or the other way round. Barty, Evan, Pandora and Dorcas are looking for Regulus a day before his wedding.
