I can't get over the fact that Obanai is almost blind in his right eye, and he relies heavily on Kaburamaru to navigate his surroundings. True, I can almost always see that the snake's head is on his left shoulder.
But there are times when his snake friend isn't around… And his right side is a little vulnerable.
Did Sanemi know about this?
Oh, I'm sure he found out about it in the most horrible and stupid way!
Simply bumping into or accidentally touching Obanai, exploding in a light curse about how inattentive he is, especially for a Hashira. But seeing, or rather, not hearing the response tirade, Sanemi falls silent, tilting his head to the side, trying to understand what's going on.
And only after learning about the blindness, he barely snorts in irritation, folding his arms over his chest.
"Is that the case? Your right side needs work."
Obanai himself would not notice at what point after that, Wind Hashira began to stay to his right, in meetings, in battle, just nearby.
His golden eye always caught the vague figure of his friend nearby, but Iguro himself never said anything about it.
Perhaps he was comforted by this presence, even if he would never admit it. Not even to himself.
I'm a little curious, and you don't have to spend time on this, but still
Those who follow my blog, where are you from? I'm curious from what corners of the world I meet such wonderful people
Great Potato Save My Life
<- Sanemi simp posts masterlist
I swear whoever’s drawing chibi Sanemi in the official arts loves him just as much as I do.
Look at him!!! LOOK AT HIM! He’s so fucking sweet and precious and ugh— my heart!
Sanemi doesn't see color.
He lost the colors of this world when he first had to take up arms, and he never saw this world again.
Everything seemed as if it was an eternal cold winter. Everything was gray, faded, and dead, no matter where he looked.
He looked at the sky, but he no longer saw its azure purity.
He caught cherry blossom petals in his palms and looked at them for a long time, tracing the outline and delicacy of the veins of the flower with his pads, but he did not see what the cherry blossoms were like this year.
He sat on a tree branch, looking at the setting sun over the mountains and forest cover, but all he saw in the sky was a scribble of gray shades.
He often thought that he would gradually forget the colors.
If only, if only... if only they did not dream of him.
Rarely, fleetingly, but he clung to that moment every time in his dreams, keeping it in his memory...
He had never seen what color Tomioka's eyes were.
Of course, he hadn't seen any of the colors of the other Pillars. Not their hair, not their clothes, not their eyes. He knew that Gyomei was blind. He knew that Obanai had two different eye colors, and that the right one was almost blind. He knew that Kyoujuro's eyes always shone. He knew that Muichiro's eyes often stopped at something without thinking, empty.
So why did Giyuu's dark, dull even eyes catch his attention?
"Tomioka..." the question hangs in the air as Shinazugawa stares at the Water Pillar, narrowing his eyes slightly, making a soft tsking sound as the Water Pillar tilts his head to the side in a silent question.
"What... color are your eyes?..."
obanai being so touch starved and sanemi being so good with his hands, his words. sanemi, who was supposed to just be his best friend, enveloping him in his arms, tangling the sheets around them as his fingers skim over obanai’s face, caressing his cheek and all the while whispering soft, nearly unintelligible praise. his lips ghosting obanai’s clavicle, teeth nipping at his skin as he growls under his breath that, fuck, obanai is so fucking attractive, and he can’t get enough of him, and that he has no reason to feel insecure. and obanai’s laying beneath him, his hair mussed, a rosy blush dusting his cheeks. he’s leaning into sanemi’s hold, allowing himself to crave openly. then they’re just cradling one another, skin pressed against skin, sharp breaths steadying as they gaze at each other, eyes full of so much unspoken infatuation. it feels like safety. it feels like everything either has wanted for so long, but have been too scared to voice. and suddenly, its like there’s something between them that has never been there before. perhaps it had nudged at the edges of their conscious, trying to find its way through. but it didn’t make it in until now, seeping from the warmth they shared. there was a name to it, somewhere. something soft and gentle and reckless and amazing. the title was unsure, for now, but, possibly, one day, they may let it be synonymous to love. perfect, uncertain, beautiful love. all for them.
Despite their abrasive exteriors and distinct personalities—Sanemi’s hot-headed and impulsive demeanor contrasting with Obanai’s reserved, critical nature—they exhibit a bond strengthened by their mutual rivalry. […]. Obanai, known for his sharp tongue, rarely directs his criticism toward Sanemi, and Sanemi, for his part, values Obanai’s discipline, seeing it as a challenge to match his precision and surpass his limits.
SANEMI SHINAZUGAWA and OBANAI IGURO in Demon Slayer, Hashira Training Arc
Everyone is used to Sanemi having a rather rough, low voice (I don't mean it's unpleasant, of course), that no one thinks that the man can sing at all.
And then their software crashes when they hear him humming something in thought or if Genya falls asleep on his lap while his older brother plays with his hair.
HE'S THE ELDDEST OF SEVEN CHILDREN, OF COURSE HE CAN SING LULLABIES OR FOLK SONGS TO CALM HIS SIBLINGS
bonus: Giyu is a great listener of songs, but his singing is the same as his attempts to smile (my silly).
So, don't let my fish brain work, ahaha
Art by my dear friend and artist Neon Naga, thank you very much for drawing my girl!
Her name is Vales, like my nickname among my close friends, and her appearance was based on mine, except that she doesn't have the tattoo on her body that I have. Vales is a half-breed, the offspring of a human woman and a demon father, who in my AU was once the Upper Five, but more on him in a bit.
Vales is not exactly a traditional Japanese name, yes, she has northern origins, her family once came to Japan, looking for a new life. Unfortunately, the relationship with her mother did not work out well, and a few years before coming of age, Vales runs away from her, leaving her family to either die in any ditch or find hope and her place. By chance, during her short wandering in one of the inns in the mountains, she learns about her hidden part when the place is attacked by a demon. She survives, defeating the demon, but this new side of her clearly scares her.
However, as a half-breed, she is not susceptible to the same damage from the sun as normal demons, but she can still feel unwell. She does not need to feed on human flesh to live, at least she believes so, for her, eating a human is an unforgivable act. She is quickly found out by the Corps, and when she appears before Ubuyashiki, she is offered to become a slayer. After all, there really is a reason for this, is it better than having her in their ranks of demons and her potential being revealed in a different direction?
Vales is trained by Urokodaki-san, since she is closest to the Breath of Water, but you can tell by her. Her father was a demon who used demon blood magic, bonding himself with water, and actually looked like a sea oni. She inherited some of his traits, and her haori, mask, and nichirin katana perfectly reflect her connection to water.
As for her personality, gods, that poor girl. She's trying not to let down her new adopted family in the Corps, and is slowly learning to open up to other people, which is difficult, especially considering she's the offspring of a demon. But she'll get along great with Nezuko, believe me. She had a younger sister before she ran away, and Komado's sister reminds her of her, which makes her heart warm.
Well, thanks for listening to my nonsense out of my head about my girl!
