Me at age 8: I might not have any friends, but I can make imaginary friends with rich social lives to fill that hole. I bet when I’m older I’ll grow out of this.
Me at age 20: I need to make another OC to try and simulate human connection or else I’m gonna lose my mind.
oh come on
yawara is not a joke, he is a trans man capable of wearing cutesy feminine stuff and not be ashamed of it. he is a proud member of the wild wild pussycats. do all transmasc characters have to be very manly for them not to be a joke or what?
magne is a transwoman that doesnt look very feminine. she has stubble and rough features, but regardless of that nobody misgenders her. not even villains. nobody cares if she is feminine or masculine, she is a woman and everyone respects that. hell her friends are even sad when she died. her being a villain is also something not transphobic because surprise! trans people are people, and people can be bad. also why r u saying that she’s dead as if it was because she’s trans? as i said, trans people are people, and people can die. it wasnt even because of transphobic reasons, she died because overhaul is a cunt. (also the lips stereotype isnt only for black people? regardless of that its still stupid. now you cant make a character with big lips?)
trans men dont owe anyone masculinity, trans women dont owe anyone femininity, same thing for trans characters.
god i hate this fandom
do you think horikoshi's level of "not giving a fuck" its high enough for making a canon gay couple? (ships aside)
Horikoshi is at least aware of LGBT rights based on this moment with Magne.
and based on him creating a canon trans character.
Horikoshi is a progressive writer and handles a lot of mature topics better than most shounen authors. He reminds me a little of Togashi, the shounen author of HunterxHunter. Togashi and his wife both support LGBT rights, and Togashi has made a prominent character trans, and there are a lot of characters in HunterxHunter whose sexuality or gender are shrouded in mystery. The reason why I think these two authors are so similar is because both handle sensitive material rather maturely and both have confirmed LGBT characters.
Plus, if Attack on Titan can have a canon gay couple, then Boku no Hero Academia should be able to get away with having a canon gay couple with time. LGBT rights keeps improving in Japan every year, and Boku no Hero Academia still has years to go before concluding. LGBT rights most likely will have lots of support years from now in Japan by the time the series ends. In fact, Japan has improved tremendously with LGBT rights already. The lives of the LGBT community has become better, there are more LGBT characters in Japanese media, the younger generation in Japan is especially supportive of LGBT individuals, and Japanese culture in general has become more LGBT-inclusive. In fact, a group of Japanese politicians just last week have formed a coalition for LGBT rights, and there are news of Japanese corporations becoming more LGBT-inclusive. Being gay in Japan is becoming less taboo everyday.
Hypothetically, let’s say Horikoshi wants to make Bakugou and Kirishima a canon gay couple, but Shounen Jump won’t allow it. If that’s the case, Horikoshi can simply give both Bakugou and Kirishima lots of intimate moments, make them follow a bunch of romance tropes, give them no other love interests, and even have them become life partners by the end of the series, leaving the romance of their relationship up to interpretation. That would be extremely close to having a canon gay couple without explicitly confirming it. Something similar to this happened with the main characters of the JRPG Tales of Zesteria.
I think it’s too easy and too simple to say there can never be a canon gay couple in Boku no Hero Academia just because it’s a shounen. People aren’t taking other factors into account. Horikoshi isn’t your standard shounen author. I’m not saying Horikoshi will create a canon gay couple because I don’t know what the hell he’ll do. I can’t make that kind of claim. I’m just saying it’s definitely possible.
The Emmy’s snubbing the amazingly talented trans women and non-binary actors on Pose ....... a show about trans people... and only nominating a cis man from the show just doesn’t sit right.
THEY DESERVE RECOGNITION FOR THEIR TALENT
tldr: the Internet Archive/WayBack Machine is super important in term of archived content, billions of stuff are on there, and with the current event happening in the world like stated above, without this tool, it will be hard to properly document what took place. It will be easy for certain people to rewrite history. Dont let them.

So today while playing New Horizon, I caught a familiar looking fish that I didn't really know much about. Though called the Napoleonfish in the game, I know it as the Humphead Wrasse.
According to Blathers (that lovable owl) this fish is endangered, but doesn't really give much more information than that. It really left me, a person fascinated by the outside world, wanting more than just that measly bit of fact and boy does the game not do this fish justice.
Found in the coral reefs of the indo Pacific region, the humphead wrasse is a very large fish, growing up to 2 meters long.
They are a powerful fish, with strong teeth, able to break down clams and mollusks with little to no effort. So, if this fish is so powerful, why is it endangered?
Well there are multiple reasons, but one reason that stood out to me is that not a lot of people know about this fish. The lack of awareness of this species. So I've decided to do my part and bring awareness to this fish.
This animal is classified as endangered, however it is also considered to be "conservation dependent" meaning that by this point it is a species that relies on our help. Human help.
So why care about this animal? Fantastic question. As mentioned earlier, the humphead wrasse eats shellfish and other hard to eat animals, but the most notable thing that this fish eats is the dreaded crown-of-thorns starfish.
This invertebrate feeds on coral reefs, and with very few predators to prevent it from over populating, these starfish can strip entire reefs of it's coral which is vital to all life in the ocean.
The humphead wrasse is one of the few animals that can withstand the crown-of-thorns' toxins, and can keep the population in check.
But how can we help more?
You can:
Educate yourself more about the species.
Support the WWF, as they have a program that helps release humphead wrasse back into the wild.
Do not fish for this animal. If you catch it by accident, let it go.
And finally respect this amazing animal for it's majesty and power.
