tim drake is mighty protective of jason's memorial
jeez, i really like their expressions
thank you! i appreciate this a bunch, i dont want to just blindly hate on steph because someone told me to.
my reply to them before i sent the ask was actually “ if you dont like steph, wait until i tell you about bruce wayne “ and someone gave me a wholesome award so i consider that a win in my book lmao
god i sound like a redditor; i was just defending tim drake in the post this was under
hey! how knowledgeable are you on stephanie brown? because i got in a bit of an argument with a dc fan on reddit who claims she's all these awful things, but im still relatively new to steph and i want to see what was true and what wasn't. link to screenie right here: https://ibb.co/vh6CYCJ
these may be matters of opinion, but even then, i'd like to know your take. i haven't read her firsthand often enough and i trust your judgement over this random redditor who seems to have some sort of blonde-woman related trauma left untapped.
I'm not necessarily the most knowledgable on her in the world, but I do know a decent amount because she's one of my absolute faves and I love her
But ohhhh boy that screenshot is a lot.
I will say that several of the things this person brings up are based in canon but are taken in the worst faith and framed in the way that makes her look as bad as possible, if that makes sense? It’s ripping things away from any context, because there's a very clear bias against her here.
I'll go through it point by point under the cut
Keep reading
not a clue! that certainly makes more sense, though. im just going off of this
dick and tim gossiping about bruce. neither of them considered bruce as their dad; more like the weird younger uncle who used to babysit them
you know, realistically, tim brings up a good point. i mean, he wasn't just a lonely child boo hoo or anything, it's implied that his only present family would up and leave semi frequently to the point that it was normalized for tim, who has a VERY strong moral compass.
this panel sequence is just... so much. first of all, it hits the awkward part of tim drake just right. deny it all you want, the boy blurts dumb shit kinda often lol.
then, there is the bond between the two boys. they may not be bruce's sons at that point, but they certainly do act like brothers. plus, that connection to bruce that tim has. man, it produces some good angst.
BAM. comic book proof of tim being left alone. i will never doubt another fanfic writer again. okay, that's a lie.
anyone else laughing at how tim's age makes zero sense?
can you imagine working with someone who you've idolized since the age of seven and have them not smile at you for months? smiling is like the bare minimum for any friendliness or openness whatsoever. i doubt he literally never smiled, but what tim says suggests that the environment wasn't quite easy for a while.
also tim being starved for praise is always what i wanna see. sorry fluff fans.
it is obligation. it's unhealthy and destructive, but it's his obligation.
nice
Small Tim (pre-Robin) falls off of a building during an attempted photoshoot of his favorite heroes. Jason Todd (current-Robin) and a kind-hearted Batman come to his rescue.

(have baby tim and baby jason. i may be biased (i wrote it), but i think you should check it out)
tim got feverish stress dreams about failing bruce, EVERYONE WRITE THAT DOWN.

today, i used my superboy knowledge to impress a hot girl and we ended up watching captain marvel together. finished just 20 minutes ago.
thank you, my stupid knowledge on comic books.
it's a little fanon-y, but i'm an optimistic person!
