i love that canon nico's appearance is described as unnerving. percy says he has a glint in his eyes that makes you think he's either a genius or a madman. people comment about how his presence is eerie and how he just seems to show up, like a specter. his smile is said to be more unsettling than his scowl. pretty privilege nico is a fun hc but i just love the idea that he looks like some eldritch being at his worst and a sopping run-over black cat at his best.
Dipper and Mabel go back to California and discover that almost nothing on Gravity Falls tv is available outside of Gravity Falls.
Ducktective does not exist outside of Gravity Falls.
None of the silly monster movies exist.
It’s a crushing realisation. And a mystery to solve.
Eventually, with Fords help, they work out that Gravity Falls is picking up trans-dimensional tv signals and all their tv channels are local or coming through wormholes.
Stan starts recording their favourite shows and movies on VHS/VCR right away and mailing them to California.

Band!Whump
Whumper's an obsessed fan of Whumpee that refuses to stop harassing/following them from gig to gig. This causes Whumpee to be terrified of performing live.
Whumpee getting hit with an object from the audience and getting pretty hurt. Caretaker doesn't even hesitate to throw a set piece RIGHT back at the assailant.
Singer!Whumpee that loses their voice and needs to be monitored/cared for by the band to make sure they don't push themselves too far.
A Whumpee that's super anxious about a show and just can't stop crying backstage about how they can't do it, don't make them do it. Too bad Manager!Whumper doesn't care.
Whumpee playing at a local basement gig and getting too intoxicated/drugged by Whumper. Does the band notice and get them out of there in time?
A Whumpee that can't play their instrument for an important performance due to injury. They're frustrated and feel like a complete burden to the rest of the band.
Feel free to add more!
So none of the humans in Gravity Falls noticed when Ford was replaced by his twin, which makes sense, he was a recluse in the woods who probably only infrequently came into town for coffee or groceries. And also a secret mind-wiping cult was on the loose.
But as reclusive as he was around the humans, he got VERY social with the local supernatural entities. He raised a shapeshifter, he kept a gnome in a cage, he yelled at Steve with a megaphone. The local paranormal community was probably very familiar with the excited six-fingered human who traipsed around the woods conducting interviews and taking notes.
So, what did they think when he suddenly vanished, to be replaced by a five-fingered con artist who completely ignored the supernatural entities and began bringing humans around the shack?
I propose this:
None of the supernatural entities realized that he's Ford's twin.
They assume that as part of Ford's studies, he summoned up his own evil doppelgänger, and it killed him and took over his life. As doppelgängers are wont to do.
Which makes Stan a member of the paranormal community in their eyes; but if he'd rather try to blend in among the humans, hey, that's his business. They just won't send him invites to the town's magical meet-ups. He is, after all, an EVIL doppelgänger.
