We have fled from one place to another, living in constant fear amidst severe shortages of food and medicine, hoping only to survive this brutal war. Please help me save my children from hunger and diseases. My daughter Julia suffers from severe chest allergies and the smells and residues of smoke have made things worse. She needs treatment and to live in a clean environment. We are suffering a lot. As you know, the war began on October 7 and lasted ten months. During this period, we were unable to obtain food, drink, or treatment because we did not have money.
There is no source of income for the family at the present time, so we are unable to buy food, clean water, and medicine, especially after we are afflicted with the ongoing infectious diseases spread in the north like Hepatitis C disease.
Our house has been damaged a lot since the beginning of the war. We are from the north of Gaza and we are still in the north and have not displaced to the south. We displaced 10 times from place to another seeking to safety .

I woke up with a pit in my stomach. My very first thought after hearing the news was what this would mean for the people I love. I thought about my two sisters who are proud members of the LGBTQ+ community. I thought about my parents who were both planning on retiring this year. I thought about the people of color I know and how this will put their safety and wellbeing into even more danger. I thought about myself and others who struggle with reproductive health and rely on hormonal contraceptives to manage pain and KEEP their fertility. This is not me trying to virtue signal. I’m from a small, conservative town, and I’ve seen just how rampant hate and intolerance can be. Keep fighting and remember you matter, regardless of what the hateful bigots will say. Love still - and will always exist in the world. We can and will get through this.
