in the time between wtfock season 3 ending and skam france season 5 starting i will simply just pass away

day 8: favorite clip from season one➝ watskeburt?!

this clip made me fall in love with skam nl even more than i already had. the clip is so fun, and it really reminds me of something i would do with my friends. it feels so normal and hilarious and just made my heart warm. i love the friendship these three have, and this clip was such a fun addition to their incredible dynamic. also, it introduced me to the song “watskeburt?!” which is totally one of my favorite songs on my skam playlist. when i think of how much i love skam nl, i think of clips like these, because they make the show so unique and perfect. 

One thing that always struck me was the way in which they kind of gave the balloon squad a backstory that didn't really like link up to the previous seasons. It felt weird that Sana was just now feeling interest/getting to know Yousef seeing as he was supposedly her brother's best friend for a long time. Also, the subplot with Even feels a little bit tacked on in the sense that it makes all of Sana's interactions with Even and Isak in season 3 feel a little false. But I do think that the dynamic between Sana and Elias felt very real and there seems to be a genuine care that's well balanced with any differences they have. I also hateeeee the subplot with Noora and Yousef!!! I think there's too many attempts to connect Sana's narrative with other characters for fan service and that always rubbed be the wrong way.

Nora: In the United States they do this thing where you take a year to think over things

Amira: I tell that to my parents and they’d send me to Morocco with one (Spanish currency) Ah Viri don’t get mad, It was just a joke.

Viri: No, yeah, ahaha

Eva: Well, apart from thinking things over, what do they do? Like, what else would they do? Drink?

Nora: No, girl, look, they travel, see the world, I don’t know, they work? I don’t know, but I’m thinking about it.

Cris: Girl, please bring me with you

Viri: I don’t know girl, look, you’d come back and the court letter doesn’t go through and you have to take the exams again and your friends will be in another grade.

Cris:  Viri, for real, you are expert of taking the fun out of everything

Miquel: Nora?

Nora: Um, Hi?

Miquel: Hello

Nora: He’s a friend of my sister’s

Miquel and Eva: Hello, etc.

Nora: Did Emma tell you I would be here today?

Miquel: No, I saw on your insta, I was going to comment you something but I figured, better in person. And since Saturday went so fast I didn’t have time to tell you about the theatre.

Miquel: The tickets I told you about. I had to insist a lot but, in the end, he owed me a favor and I was able to get them  (’m sorry I can’t really understand what he said here, but It’s nothing major)

Miquel: You can go with whoever you want to

Nora: Thanks

i’ve seen someone write that this a turning point and i’m inclined to agree. i think it’s is a wake up call that he can no longer fake the feelings he has. hopefully this episode will have him confess to someone (hopefully noor so this is less messy) and hopefully he’ll break up with noor.

if internalized homophobia replaces the mi storyline this is my theory:

• robbe will break up with noor and start to accept himself this week

•he will come out to jens and attempt to contact sander

•in episode 7 they’ll get back together and in episode 8 instead of the manic episode robbe will see one of the brotherrrs who he hasn’t come out to while him and sander are out and then have a freak reaction to it

this definitely all wrong but hopefully it gets resolved because i cannot deal with this anymore

janna is such a beautiful character. my girl is strong, kind, hilarious and an amazing friend. she always makes me laugh like crazy and she is so confident and forward and to me that’s so admirable. i love her style and her fashion choices, but i really love her personality and i know she would be an amazing friend in real life.
