I definitely empathize with both of them, particularly Isak, who is going through a period of intense self-discovery. But I was struck this rewatch by how mean he is towards Emma! The moment when he goes through his phone and looks at all of her texts to him that he's ignored made me so angry on her behalf. I empathize with his desire to cover his sexuality, but Emma is totally caught in the crossfire. Also, the way Even talks about Sonja is totally so disrespectful. In general, I do see why both of them act this way, but I think the inclusion of such bad behavior/misogyny needs to be more meaningfully explored because the show definitely relies on the audience's empathy as a crutch.
Can you forgive Isak and Even for any of their shitty behavior thus far (especially towards women) for the sake of their #love?
in the time between wtfock season 3 ending and skam france season 5 starting i will simply just pass away
a character i could see my self becoming best friends with➝ Isa Keijser
i mean, look at this queen. she is so kind and loving to her friends, and has so much care and empathy in her heart. i could totally see us getting along, we have similar humor and i can relate to her so well. plus, we are both named isa, so we could be name twins.
We’re not best buds. Seriously? We’re buds. Okay, we’re buds.
Best buds.
This has actually always been one of the aspects of the show that has most confused me. Noora and Eva (and later Isak) all have relationships with their families that almost feel too hands-off? Of course, this type of situation does exist but I do feel that with Noora, for example, in the US two parents who "don't love" their high school age daughter, still wouldn't leave her to sublet an apartment with random adults. William and Eva both seem to always have an empty apartment, which maybe feels a little more realistic but also convenient. I think until Sana's season, it was easier for the show to remove the focus from the parental relationships and make it more about pure teenage stuff. But it does sometimes take me out of the show a bit because Noora specifically is living SUCH an adult style life that it makes me forget that she's 16? 17?
How are you feeling about SKAM's representation of family life so far? Do the familial relationships you've seen or you've heard reference to feel realistic or no?

janna is such a beautiful character. my girl is strong, kind, hilarious and an amazing friend. she always makes me laugh like crazy and she is so confident and forward and to me that’s so admirable. i love her style and her fashion choices, but i really love her personality and i know she would be an amazing friend in real life.
