The boy tilted his head at the question. Her grandpa? Was he like them too? He floated around her in a circle, examining her and rubbing his chin in thought before coming CLOSE to her face again, squinting as he focused on her magical aura.

Then he grinned and booped her on the nose.

'You're a little star! And a LITTLE bit of a star too!' He signed with his hands, whether or not she understood was a different thing though.

A star? No? A VERY little star? But she didn't seem to have the same amount of SPARK a full star would have... The light floated really close to Hannah's face, until a body stared to form and a curious face stared at her with a tilt of his head. @microscopic-galaxies

Hannah blinked at the light as it formed... a person? The light was familiar, like Grandpa Herish's and Mr Sterling's. Though different. This was a star.

"Are you looking for my Grandpa?"

Whatever it was, didn't seem to think that the being was really a threat, so imagine its surprise when something stuck it from behind. Something SHARP that sent the light throughout him flickering.

Then down it floated, like a feather caught on the wind before it landed amongst a patch of grass, the small ball of light shifting awkwardly and turning into the form of a young boy, trying to catch his breath as a shaky hand felt the dagger in his back.

The round ball of bright light floated in front of them, curious and quick before a spark booped Grim on the nose and shot off into the air, a strange otherworldly noise that sounded like laughter coming from it. He's immediately on the defensive as this ball of light floats up to him, reflecting in his golden eyes before he's suddenly booped on the nose. The incubus reeling back, sneezing (like a kitten), and growling as the mysterious light floats back up in the sky.

A throwing knife appears in his hand, made of his own shadow, before he flings it in the direction of the light.

/ Currently, 'Star' does not have a name. Stars are usually given names by their kin or by those who 'discover' them.

Starboy is still young, so he is simply known as 'Star' unless someone names him.

The boy grinned again upon learning her name and floating back up again, leaning close to her face and staring at her closely, it seemed he could sense it.

He didn't speak to answer her question, instead, that strange noise echoed out of him again, like laughter and he span in a circle in a beam of magic, the magic dust flashing off him and showing the shape of a star, which he gestured to eagerly.

   At his gesture, she blinks at him and forces herself to be a bit more composed. It was rude to just gawk at someone else, after all. Even if they were literally floating! She straightens up and attempts to steady.

   ❝Me- magical? I wish, but no..❞ she answers, seeming to feel what he was asking of her; a connection she had that she was not aware of (meaning she had some untapped magic within herself). Then excitedly, ❝My name's Jade. Who are you? How do you have magic?❞

Star seemed VERY glad that the girl seemed happy to see him, watching her wide eyes take him in and all the stardust that sprinkled off his shoulders.

An answer to her question came with a proud nod, arms crossed as he floated back down to the earth, standing (a little awkwardly) on the spot with a big smile.

Then he tilted his head at her and pointed at her as if asking a question himself.

   Upon the brilliant light bursting into a familiar figure, presenting itself as a mere boy, Jade gasps in her astonishment. Not at all frightened or frazzled; just amazed. Considering that magic had been sealed away on her island for over a hundred years, this was the first time Jade had witnessed anything like it.

   ❝WHAT?❞ she breathes out, her smile wide as she steps closer to him. Her hands were clasped together in front of her as she inspects him, wide-eyed. ❝Was that magic? Are YOU magic?❞ Jade had so many questions; wanted to know everything. If he was magical, how was that even possible?

"You can't protect everyone."
