Wednesday has a deep realization
Made the worst brownies ever created just now
Enid: I’m warning you, Bianca!
Bianca: What are you going to do? Send your girlfriend after me?
Bianca:
Bianca: Shit, you are going to do that!
Enid: Willa!
Bianca, running away: Fuck! Get out of my way!
Yoko: *barges into Wenclair's room to pick up Enid*
Wednesday & Enid: *arguing*
Yoko: Okay, what are you idiots arguing about this time?
Wednesday: Whether to watch Oppenheimer or Barbie. I personally think the choice is obvious.
Yoko: Why don't you just watch both?
Enid: Fine. But we're watching Oppenheimer first!
Wednesday: If you make me watch Oppenheimer I'm walking out the theater.
Enid: Wow, you won't even watch Oppenheimer for me? You're such a brat! It's only three hours!
Wednesday: Only three hours?
Yoko: Wait, hold on... Wednesday wants to watch Barbie?
Wednesday and Enid: Yes.
Yoko: *laughing* Why?
Wednesday: *crosses her arms defensively* Why wouldn't I want to watch a post modernist critique of capitalism and girlhood? The only thing it's missing is gore.
Okay so I’ve been thinking about this for a while. That fact that Sam and Tara are so different in hight, heath, and size. Like yes I know they don’t share a father but still it’s a dramatic difference. So what if there was a reason for that?
What if when Sam was born she was a bit off. Maybe she didn’t cry right away. The doctors take the child and rush her away to save her life. Mr. Carpenter was stricken with fear. His first born about to die. He had never felt so weak so helpless. He couldn’t bare to be near the child after that. So afraid it was going to die at any second. Completely choosing to ignore the fact that she was a heathy girl.
Then his worst fear hits. Christina says she’s pregnant again. He won’t let the same thing happen to his second child. So he pumps Christina full of medication. He’s read some articles on the internet swearing by these fake medical concoctions.
Only it makes everything worse. The medicine causes the baby to be born prematurely. The doctors say she’s got weak lungs and might not make it through the night.
This is all his fault.
No
He looks down at his oldest. Who’s wide eyed and standing on her tippy toes to see through the glass to get a glimpse of her baby sister. She then looks up at her father.
That’s when he sees it. The glint of evil in her eyes. This is her fault. If she had just cried like a normal child then he wouldn’t be saddled with a defective one.
His oldest then asks if the baby’s gonna be alright. He mumbles under his breath “she might have been if it wasn’t for you” thinking his daughter didn’t hear him he fixed his face and loudly told her “they don’t know but I’m sure it will be alright.”
But Sam did hear him. And that sentence haunts her mind to this day.
Wednesday and enid laying in bed facing each other.
Enid: say it again
