Hello folks, so I would like to ask you people a thing and explain a few others.

So I had some problem with my phone earlier and I lost a few drawings and an animation I was ready to post soooo I am quite disappointed and exhausted right now. I have to learn to draw with another app and it's not really funny. Plus, I'd like to focus on one thing and another so I'll probably stop to draw for some time.

BUT ! I have something I'd like to share with you. An idea I have for some time so your opinion is important to me.

I will ask people interested in Professor Layton stuff so if this topic is interesting to you don't hesitate to share and make up your mind about it.

So as you may know, I made an hypothesis about what if Bronev had escaped Targent and what if he tried to look for his sons and be a good father while trying to avenge his late wife ? And so I'd like to develop that a bit more by writing something about it. So here is my question:

I'll let this for a week to see the result, so here we go people ^^

And so I tried something X3 he was a goddamn fox in his twenties, change my mind !

Hiiiii everyone ! So thanks to @mortallychaotickingdom , I tried to develop the idea of an OC I had a while ago and it seems that it is working pretty well, so I decided to draw her and explain a bit more things about her. It's not a much and I don't draw a lot these days but I like her and I think I wanna develop her more.

So here she is, my Targent girl !

*Hum hum* Well, you all know that I love to draw clothes, and the harder it gets the better I like to draw X3

Something inspired by the Roaring 20s and birds X3 I love magpies a lot so here it is !

Heeeeeeey I'm back with stupid thoughts again ( mostly about PL because that game is gold !)

So I rewatched a let's play ( yeah, I do that a lot ) of PL vs AA and I fell in love with the design of the whole city of Labyrinthia ! I mean, I'm pretty much in love with medieval designs, legends, mix of fantasy and mystery about magic etc. And the music is amazing !

And so [ WARNING SPOILER ] I was thinking about something.

Since Descole took his revenge on Targent, he has no goal then and says at the end of Azran Legacy that he'll seek adventure.

And theeeeeen ( you see it coming right ? ) what if he went and found Labyrinthia ? What if he had decided to stay at Labyrinthia after all that happened ?

Remember that his past is freaking sad, traumatic and full of despair. And that the water you drink in the city can erase temporarily your memory.

Imagine that : Desmond being part of that city, living peacefully with no memory of Targent, being under the influence of the Story of the Storyteller.

And now, someday, comes a professor with his apprentice and an attorney and his assistant. And the meeting, God, could be bittersweet X'3 like this whole mess of mine but really like :

Layton : Desmond ?... What are you doing here ?

Luke : You !!!

Desmond : *being totally lost and not knowing them* huh ? Do I know you ???

Phoenix : wait- you know him professor ??

Luke : you monster !

Desmond : ???!!!! I think you misunderstand ????

Maya : ooooh dramaaaa *^*

Aaaaand that's all for me, now make up your mind about it anyway X'3

I really like the way you put it so clearly despite the fact that it is a character very hard to analyse >~<

Well it is a random scheme I thought about a few days ago so I didn't take time to go further into details but I think it could be possible if Bronev were really shocked by something happening, making him realise that there is more important things than the Azran.

Let's imagine that Rachel's death is less peaceful than in the original game : she wouldn't be so calm and reassuring after a long time of captivity, but rather shocked, scared, worried about their sons because it would have been less time spend at Targent and so less time used by Targent to influence Bronev so they wouldnt really have as much influence on him. It wouldn't be something like "follow your dream" but rather something like "Help me, I don't wanna die, save our children" or something, maybe while they try to escape together but finally only one succeeds.

I am not a professional analyst of Bronev such as you, @targentis , but I think Rachel's death could be the major event that could make him have even the slightest move toward vengeance without being part of Targent.

I think he would try to look for both his sons X3 learning that "Hershel" would have been adopted by a family after he and Rachel disappeared. So he would have been mistaken and would have looked for Theodore, thinking it was probably safer for one of his son to be out of his life, away from troubles.

Then he would learn than his second son would have been taken care of by, if I remember well, "the Widgers" (? Sorry I'm French and dunno, unfortunately, about the english version >< ), who could appear to have a certain butler we all love here X3

I dunno exactly how it could go, and I am too tired tonight to try to focus on this more, but I have to take the time to develop the idea X3

I just wanna see Raymond and a less bad Brinev team up together to raise a child and take down Targent X3 ( Raymond's a ninja, convince me otherwise, and Bronev knows martial arts XD best team ever XD )

Let's see if I keep going with this concept again X'3

OK folks so I am tired tonight and have to much thoughts to share that are not really necessary but they just flop into my mind sooo...

I was rewatching Azran Legacy's let's play recently and I am more and more interested in the fact that there is literally only flashbacks to describe how the life of the Bronev family was perfect before the evil TARGENT showed up aaaaaaand.... there is literally not a single development part where it is explained how Bronev became evil, how Desmond grew up and met Raymond, how Desmond had a family of his own etc.

That is the main complain I have about the game. It is really good but important things are a bit thrown as if unimportant ><

And so, growing attached to this lack of development, my mind had to play with contexts and inventing things and so I ended up wondering...

What if Bronev had escaped from TARGENT ?

What if his wife had been killed by them ?

What if he found his elder son and took care of him alone, ready to avenge Rachel and take down TARGENT ?

What if Bronev and Raymond had to take care of a growing young man progressively understanding that his mother will never come back and wanting to help his father getting revenge, then having himself a family, losing them and being 100% ready to take TARGENT down ?

What if they were together, father, son and butler, to solve the Azran's mysteries ?

It would be a sort of a reverse arc for Bronev : before TARGENT, he was beginning to be obsessed by the Azran civilization, possibly leading him to be less here for his family, what he regrets after Rachel's death. After this, he has to take care of his son without his wife and find some balance between revenge, and so the Azran, and life as a lonely father ( even if he is helped by a devoted butler X3 ).

I think somehow I would like to explore this, because I really think that could be cool X3 also, the lack of explanations and development in the games is useful for this because it allows to fantasising about all the "what if" and the "reasons why".

I dunno if I will keep that idea but hey, maybe I will if I don't forget about it tomorrow already ahaha

I realized I reached the peak of my insanity when instead of resting I decided to sketch a young hottie Raymond…

a little bit of context on how everything begun :

I’m not alone tho- @narumitsu-lawlu​ and @mirza-majoris​ are my accomplices in this madness eheh 

Here we got two drawings made for the wonderful @mortallychaotickingdom about her OCs Marshall and Jay from her comic ( GO READ IT, IT IS MARVELLOUS ! )

The first one is for an art trade with her and the second one is a sort of bonus because I just love drawing her characters over and over again XD

As a literature student, I assure you this is absolutely true ! It's mostly how writers guide their readers and the reading of a book.

Writing is NOT made of pure talent, it is mostly learning, how to compose with the language to create something that make sense and that can touch the person of the reader.

Personnaly, I think this is the best thing about writing, you can communicate something to someone with words ! That, that's why I love literature ♡

my writing fundamentally changed forever ten years ago when i realized you could use sentence structure to control people’s heart rates. is this still forbidden knowledge or does everyone know it now

Professors of the Caribbean again X3

Still tired and having no time to focus on drawing but I will keep going with some facts I think of.

OK so :

Bill Hawks is Cutler Beckett ! I know, it's not the first film but I want a trilogy X'3 he is despicable af and has no moral compass so he is the perfect asshole for this

Bronev needed Hershel to break the Azran Curse. The Azran warned the ones looking for the treasure : "This treasure thou take but thy heart shall break : for one piece glittering, the blood of thy most precious thing". He tried once with Desmond only to fail because each time he sees him, that reminds him that his elder son has his dark-red eyes. He sees everything he hates about himself. But Hershel has his mother's eyes, the eyes of Rachel, and he is kind and gentle like her. The most precious thing Bronev ever got for me is Rachel, who he can see when he looks at his younger son. May sounds strange, sorry, but it's just my point ^^"

I need a cursed relationship between Randall and Angela : Randall, the cursed captain feeling betrayed by his love, bounding her into one single human form and wandering the seas on his damned ship.

Some of you will hate me after this but keep in mind I like grim stuff and drama : Raymond is now a sailor on the Revenge ( let's say it is the name of the Dutchman and the ship of Randall, even though I KNOW it is BlackBeard's ship in a fourth movie but this one doesn't exist in this crossover >< ) after having been sent to the depths by Bronev after the mutiny. I know, it's horrible but I think this could create a good drama and I just want to picture him at night in the ship, and saying "Time's run out, boy" with some pain in his voice because he knows Desmond will be in trouble ><

The WEDDING for God's sake ! Imagine Hershel : "Claire, do you want to marry me ?" And Claire be like "0/////0" and Desmond, in the background: "OMG FINALLY !"

Hershel : I've made my choice. What's yours ?

Claire : ... Bronev !

*Both Desmond and Bronev, fighting back to back, stopping and fixing Claire like: WHOT ?!*

Claire : Marry us !

Bronev : I'm A LITTLE busy at the moment ! *frenetically striking his enemies with his sword*

So here are some thoughts about the subject but I dunno what to do with this at the moment, exams are tiring X'3 hope you enjoy this kind of post ^^"

Ok so I wanted to draw but I don't have the nerves to do so. Instead, I wanna write something about that silly AU of mine and it appears it has no name. Why not Professors of the Caribbean ? Or maybe you can choose if you have something better ^w^

Well first let's see about the roles : Let's call it "The Curse of the Azran gold" XD

Hershel Layton : a young preceptor working for the governor of Port Royal, to teach his daughter Claire Foley 👀 Rescued from a shipwreck by her when they both were children, he grew up at Port Royal with his father and mother, not knowing he was indeed adopted ( that will still be like in the games, I love the twist it will bring X3 ). Becomes a pirate unfortunately, to save his dear Claire from the pirates that came and kidnapped her. Not a real fan of the one that brought him into being an outlaw though X3

Desmond Sycamore : probably no Descole, but the name of the ship could be the Death Call, dunno, what do ya think ? Anyway, a pirate, alone, strange-mannered, having a lot of hate for a particular pirate and swearing revenge. He convinced Hershel to steal a ship to save his damsel, is an excellent swordsman but doesn't like to play fair and is a master of wicked plans XD

Claire Foley : daughter of the governor, fascinated by pirates, wants to be as free and independent as them sometimes. She likes Hershel A LOT and is not that impressed as first by the pirate captain. Well, before knowing he's literally a living dead X3 tbh Desmond is more a damsel in distress than her !

Leon Bronev : here he is, the bad guy ! Commited a mutiny against his captain and son after having some disagreement about the Azran gold. He has no beating heart now, cruel but great at being a treacherous man and a liar X3

Dimitri Allen : the commodore ! Because he needs no grey wig XD and because he is in love with Claire X3 a good man, having trouble with pirates and trying to get rid of them as much as possible. He will potentially know a very sad end but hey, like a hero though X'3

Luke Triton : not gonna lie, it's hard to include him in there but maybe a little sailor on the Interceptor asleep when Hershel and Desmond steal her X3 so he has to go on a little voyage with them, will probably talk to the parrot XD like Layton a lot but not Desmond X3

Raymond : ..... let's hope I have a better fate for him that what crosses my mind right now X'3

Macaw and Robin : Pintel and Ragetti, no doubt ! XD

Swift : the Second-in-Command because he is freaking cool *^*

For now, this is how I would see the main plot X3 most characters are here buuuuuuuut maybe my brains works faster than my typing skills ( and will to write something more consequent ) so I will probably right other things but not tonight X'3

It's been a stressful week so I worked on this to cope with anxiety X'3 I can't do something too big ( I'm working on my phone so not easy peasy lemon squeezy ) but I'll probably continue if I have time and energy to waste on this silly concept 🙃

He looked at his younger son, shocked, and realised what he meant. He was holding two pieces of the cursed Azran gold above the chest of stone and opened his hand to let them fall. Bronev loosened his grip on his pistol and sword and looked at the place where his cold heart rested. He opened his coat and saw a dark-red mark growing on his shirt, he felt his own blood running down his chest. He felt. He understood.

For a moment, he looked the abyss of his mind, eyes lost and vague, confused, but then he smiled, amused by the tragic irony of the situation.

-Heh... Good aim, son...

Then his legs trembled and weakened and he fell down. In a last breath, he allowed death to grip his soul with its cold embrace.

Here is the evolution of an OC I made while doing a rp with a friend about PL and TARGENT. Her name's Magpie, she loves this kind of birds and is a very talented pickpocket.

I redesigned her because I have her evolution in mind in a way, I dunno if I will let her exist in the PL universe of make her independantly of it. Changing the style of the drawing and going into something darker. Dunno if it's relevant, nor interesting but here it is...
