on a similar note to that 'i think a lot of you guys forget people hate women' post; I think a lot of you guys forget how bad racism truly is and how deeply pervasive and entrenched antiblackness is.
I love Taylor Swift's music, but I need to say this.
Midnights DID NOT deserve AOTY.
I haven't even heard the other nominated albums but the first time I listened to Midnights I knew it wasn't AOTY material. Just compare it with her other AOTY wins and you'll know what I'm talking about. Like there was nothing new or revolutionary about the album itself music wise.....it broke a lot of records and had good marketing and everything but the songs and production and lyricism itself were subpar compared to Swift's other albums even non-Grammy ones. How she got nominated in that category let alone won is beyond me...for I'm sure there were other deserving albums out there .......Midnights just wasn't it
Man, we have got to stop treating art like it has an expiration date. That show stopped airing? Doesn’t mean it can’t haunt your every waking thought. Everybody’s into this album, but you don’t have the energy for new music right now? It’ll be waiting for you when you’re ready. That movie’s fifty years old and indie as shit? Incredible, you have the chance to share it with folks who might never otherwise feel that particular punch of delight. Books don’t go bad. Shows inspire fandoms decades after they’ve wrapped up. We’re still looking at cave paintings and statue work from ancient times and letting the joy of creation bring tears to our eyes. That’s the point of art. It’s as close to immortality as we ever get. Why try to give that magic a shelf life?
Another storytelling rule I think people should remember is the law of diminishing returns. If you keep on ramping up the stakes higher and higher and higher, after a point it gets to where the audience can’t really care anymore.
I wish there was a way to completely OPT OUT of AI. Like you could set your ENTIRE Internet browser to NOT shove it down your throat.
When social media was getting big, you could just NOT get a Facebook or a Twitter. It was simple as that. You can't do that with AI.
Trying to find a job? It goes straight to an AI filter. Trying to look at art? Here's 100+ ai shit. Trying to look up who was in what movie from the 1980s? GOOGLE GEMINI IS HERE WITH THE COMPLETELY WRONG ANSWER!
Someone PLEASE create a way to allow people to get AI the FUCK OUT of our lives if we DO NOT WANT IT!
my "i <3 wearing clothes until they're in rags" shirt is raising a lot of questions it is unable to answer due to the large holes rendering it illegible
The "I can fix him" trope

I know a lot of people hate dan brown books but honestly I don't get why people need to trash talk them. They are no masterpieces but they are a fun read that gets you invested. Obviously fictional and no way realistic but just great to actually stay motivated to read. It doesn't need to be serious and deep reading all the time.
And then shitting on what he writes about?! Yeah if you don't like it move on and find a different author with a different style and genre if you think he writes nonsense. I think he actually does a lot of research for his books since they have a historical core even if it's embellished with lots of made up conspiracies. But then again if you can differentiate between reality and fiction and go with the flow it's a pleasurable read in my opinion.
Everyone should be allowed to read what they want and to not fear what others may say. That's true for anything really. From high fantasy to romance novels. Reading is reading and should be always looked upon as a good thing.
