Fuck I’ve got a story for this one all ready so here it is:
One, two, three
“You’re disgusting! My own son, a faggot! How could you do this to me?!” Jacks mother’s echoed through the small house and was heard even outside. How could Jack be so stupid as to leave his phone in the kitchen while he was out? He should have known his crack-head mother couldn’t wait to unlock her sons phone and you know completely disrespect his privacy. “I wish I had terminated you when I had the chance! I wish you were never born! I hate you!” It’s not like it hurt his feelings that much, he was used to everything except being criticized for liking boys. Or well... a certain boy.
Yeah Clay Bailey. Yikes I know, Jack had a few photos of him from previous hang outs with his favorite cowboys face covered in hearts and lipstick stained kisses. Honestly what couldn’t you love? His chivalry, kindness, patience, that accent and those freckles. Not to mention he was the definition of brawn, but not bad with his brain either. Though his mothers insults were becoming white noise they were still loud and annoying as a siren. So he had to do the one thing he could... cuss her out in french and then leave. So that’s what he did.
“Si je suis un tel problème, je suppose que je vais juste partir, à part votre celui qui ne pouvait pas garder ses jambes fermées!” And with that he took his leave. He felt used to his mothers insults but the phrase ‘sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me’ was still bullshit. He was still sad and nothing could cheer him up at the moment. He just wanted to disappear. It was cold outside. Christmas Eve too, he thought to himself, I hope Clay is happy at least.
He sighed an unhappy sigh. It was Christmas Eve and he was alone, no one was with him, his dad, his cousins, his grandmother even his boyfriend wasn’t with him. Oh how he wished he was in his lovers arms. That Clay would whisper sweet nothings in his ear while peppering his cheeks with soft kisses. God when had he become so... mushy. After he fell for Clay huh? His grandmother once told him that if you think you’re in love with someone start counting to three, if you can’t make it to three without thinking about them then you’re in love, true love. He just wanted to make sure. One... Two... Th- “Jack!”
He turned to look who that accented voice belonged to. It was Clay! He ran into his arms and started kissing him. He couldn’t help it. It seemed that neither could Clay. Both were lip locked as if they had lost the key. Then they pulled away, both of them slightly disappointed. “So... wanna go meet my family? They’ve been dying to find out who the mystery redhead is.” Jack couldn’t help but smile. Christmas Eve was starting to look up.

Well it is one of my top two favorite clay ships, the other one isn’t a canon character he’s my oc but that’s a different conversation.
I personally like ClayJack because it’s so different from other ships in a way. Not only are they super opposites but they have similar interests as well! Usually the opposites attract means zero interests in common. ClayJack in the other hand you can fucking see Jack teaching Clay how to ice skate because of how much the cowboy already knows, not to mention how cute it’d be to see Jack stealing Clay’s hat all the time I mean seriously adorabubble!!
Then Clay would definitely help Jack with confronting Chase and Wuya and helping him ease into a mundane life, because let’s be honest Jack isn’t cut out for xiaolin. Despite the fact that yes he has potential to be the dragon of metal but he was heylin for too long and he would just end up at square one again.
Then there’s Clays upbringing. Texas even have out a super homophobic law that states a MAN and WOMAN should only be married and with the intent of having children or something along those lines so I’m going off of that and saying his dad is a homophobe. His mom would definitely be in shock but get over in in a snap, his dad however would disown him after a long period of clay standing in front of him while he shouts abuse. After this he goes to Jacks warehouse with tears in his eyes. Protective-ass-boyfriend mode is activated. Wuya is super pissed too surprisingly(not rlly I mean she is def 100% lesbian) so she starts with how before world domination Mr. Pappy Bailey is gonna fuckin die. Of course Jack manages to shut her up and comforts Clay really well with blankets, cute westerns(b/c I love westerns ngl😋) and got chocolate. After a few months Clays dad apologizes to him and everything turns out fine. ... until Patty punches Jack in the face. Naw just kidding he likes Jack cause they both love computers.👍👍👍👍
