“for soccer” LMFAO
ways haikyuu ships might react to someone assuming they were in a relationship part 2 bc exactly one person cared and that is all I need:
bokuaka: Bokuto would like make it a scene by accident. Like really loudly would echo back "Me and Akaashi, dating?!" and make everyone look. He would go on about what an awesome boyfriend he would make if he were but forget to actually deny it. Akaashi meanwhile would probably immediately, internally panic, and start talking at 1000 words a minute explaining exactly why they're not dating and the real nature of their relationship and he would not succeed in convincing the stranger.
tsukkiyama: Yamaguchi normally just laughs it off and corrects them, but once or twice when he's sure it won't get back to him he's let it slide and let the strange think so. Tsukki almost always way over compensates by scoffing and going on about how uninterested he is in dating, though internally is incredibly embarassed/flustered.
kagehina: Kageyama gets incredibly flustered whenever this happens and starts throwing insults at Hinata to try and prove the opposite, but usually with a very flushed face. Hinata is usually more chill about it and plays it off, but afterwards would ask Kageyama something like: "Isn't it weird that he thought that... could you imagine...? me and you... stupid, right...?" trying desperately to get some kind of validation that will never come.
asanoya: Noya fucking loves it. He doesn't really know why he does, but he'll always correct them and then add something like "haha I'm not that lucky!" or "But if I had a chance!" Asahi, on the otherhand, turns into an absolute panicked mess and frantically begins trying to correct them, hands waving, face bright red, hoping nobody else overheard.
tanakiyo: Tanaka, although secretly very pleased, carefully makes sure everyone is aware that Kiyoko has made it clear they are just friends. After he leaves in his embarassment, Kiyoko then quietly tells them that they'll only be just friends until he graduates.
Competed May 2024 ----- Finally getting around to posting this too :)
This is my "iconic moment" for the @dgm20thproject ! My moment covers the introduction of Apocryphos, the Noah's assisting with Allen's escape from the Order, Road sacrificing herself for Allen, Link using magic against Apocryphos, and Lavi and Bookman (they were kidnapped!)
Canon tragic couple
So, to recap, Hayato Suo:
Does basically everything with a permanent smile on his face (it's NOT always reassuring).
Wears an eyepatch and we absolutely do not know if there is a working eye beneath it.
He claims there is a Chinese spirit under the aforementioned eyepatch. In the character book he states this seal was "about to be broken", whatever that means.
He introduces himself as Leonardo Fucking Dicaprio for some reason.
He is touchy.
He calls other guys "Cutie" (derogatory) (is it only derogatory?).
He teases people (Sakura) as if it's second nature.
He can (and might) actually kill you.
His Hobby is freaking Human Observation which leads to his best subject being Chem and his freaking best skill being World Manipulation.
His favorite music is Folk Music.
His dream is the Emancipation of Slaves (which. Holy Moly Ravioli. The others listed a gf or a trip and there he goes).
Has a Master and Brothers (Relatives? Other disciples of this Master?) we know absolutely nothing about.
He NEVER eats. The single panel in the manga where he is shown eating has been "corrected" in the anime adaptation with him handing the food to Nirei. And he claims to be on a (unspecified) diet.
He has yet to go all-out.
Berates others on what it takes to be an adult (he is at most 16).
He claims to be a "chill guy" (spoilers, he is not)
What is wrong with him.
bsd 123 has some insane moments but i genuinely think this is the craziest.
like, yes, this is about how atsushi helped akutagawa realise that dazai’s word is not something he can rely on, and that dazai’s validation is not a reason to live—but it’s not the only thing to take away.
firstly, this is the first time that akutagawa has realised that somebody believes in him. this person hated him, didn’t get along with him, fought him to the death on more than one occasion, saw the worst of him, yet still believes in him. atsushi believes in him enough to bring back his consciousness, and to try and do it twice. atsushi believes in him enough to reassure him often, even if it doesn’t feel like reassurance all the time. atsushi believes in him enough to protect him, even though akutagawa has been the protector his entire life.
secondly, i don’t believe that atsushi has now become akutagawa’s reason to live from this panel. akutagawa thinks about two things after his epiphany that dazai’s words don’t hold the same weight anymore. the first is his promise to atsushi, and what that means to him. the second is atsushi’s words about true strength—which akutagawa realises he now has. it’s not about a reason to live anymore, but that akutagawa has someone who believes in him and because of that, he feels alive.
this panel isn’t about akutagawa’s mentality shifting. it’s about him finally finding his strength and fighting for something that he, and not anybody else, thinks is right. he’s hoping. he’s caring. he’s understanding. he’s strong. he’s alive.

No matter how bnha ends, I'm grateful that I became invested because it brought me joy, and it gifted me the euphoric experience of getting to know one of my favorite characters ever: Touya Todoroki, Dabi. I will always love him, and he will always have a special place in my heart. Nothing can change that or take that away from me. Shouto, too. The soba brothers are eternal to me.
It's so typical of me to be drawn to the mysterious, cold, brooding characters, haha. Shouto and Dabi immediately captured my attention when I first watched/read bnha with @fox-conscious. I took a break from following the series for a few years until November 2020, when I casually logged into Tumblr after months of not checking and saw chapter 290 Dabi's Dance leaks. It must have been fate. Suddenly, I was fully immersed in the manga again, excited that the obvious familial connection between my two favorites was officially confirmed. This reveal reignited my excitement and gave me something to focus on and look forward to during a challenging first semester in grad school, when I was on the cusp of realizing I needed professional help for my eating disorder.
To deal with the stress and have fun, I turned to reading and writing meta, and trying to make friends to share the experience with. That's the most important thing that has come from following this series... I've met so many incredible people who mean a lot to me:
@haleigh-sloth has become a really dear and close friend of mine. We met because of this manga and bonded over crepes, breakfast foods, pasta or ramen dinners, shopping at the mall, swimming in the river, walking her dogs, sleepovers, traveling, and road trips because of our shared love of the characters and story. We are basically the same person and constantly say the same things at the same time. Through the ups and downs of school, work, moving, and even now, we've always had each other's backs and shared countless moments of laughter and ugly cackling because we can't take shit seriously, ever. She's one of my best friends for life and I can't imagine NOT having her around!
@todomitoukei was one of the first friends I made in this fandom. I can always count on her to make the funniest jokes I've ever heard, especially during a completely serious conversation, and I'm astounded how smart, quick-witted, and talented she is. Truly an inspiration. I always look forward to seeing notifications that she messaged me because she brightens my day <3
I've had the great pleasure of meeting and hugging @hamliet TWICE! She has a generous heart and an inviting, calm aura. Her kindness and intelligence are remarkable. I genuinely enjoy discussing all sorts of topics with her, both silly and serious: life, hopes and dreams, fears and daily struggles, funny memes, reading and writing. I also love seeing her pet photos and can't wait to meet them in the future.
@transhawks is truly my most insane friend, and I say that lovingly and in the most ironic way because he's level-headed, creative, articulate, and self-aware. I'm always learning from him. I can talk to him for hours and never run out of things to say, and I always look forward to his insightful commentary about anything and everything.
And of course, I'm grateful for all the discord shenanigans with my friends: watching the anime together, voice calls, memes, sharing ideas, etc. @chocolate-biscuit who always pops into the chat with funny one-liners that leave me cackling for days when they flash in my head randomly, @bootlickerhawks who is the bestest horse person ever and I get excited to see on my dash, @helga-grinduil who is the saltiest and funniest person on this hellsite and also happens to make the best bnhaedits in this entire fandom, @jecook who is one of the sweetest people I've ever met and can't wait to read fix-it fics from, @mettywiththenotes who sends cute dog pictures and makes the most hilarious memes. Together we are all unhinged, and I love it. Despite living in different time zones, different counties, we've all create a fun space to cohabitate, and I think that's really cool and beautiful.
Hmm. Looks like the real treasure was the friends I made along the way, and the shared trauma of having our favorite characters mishandled by their creator was worth it. Can't wait to keep writing fics, making memes, and making new friends like @shortstrawberryshake because of this manga. And, I can't wait to keep loving Touya and Shouto Todoroki, of course <3
Idk what the final match of the manga will be whether it be World Cup or some other tournament or what
But what I do believe deep in my bones is that Rin will score the winning goal
I think the story is not allowing Rin to “win” (scoring winning goal against Isagi, being satisfied with anything) while he’s in the mental and emotional state he’s in
Steve Oster [producer of DS9] - about 4.06 - Rejoined
I love Nezumi and Shion more than anything. Trust me.
But their relationship was always secondary to the novels being a political statement.
This is an actual interview with Atsuko Asano, about her inspiration for city of No.6. She quite literally said one of her inspirations for it was the political environment in the USA, following 9/11.
For her to choose to continue this series right now, after so many years, is probably not a coincidence.
Their struggles are eerily similar to what many real people face in our world all the time.
I have a feeling there will be some pretty important themes in this new series.
I hope those who read it can appreciate every element of it - not only our beloved characters, but the reason they have a story to begin with.
