Okay, we really do need to address the anti blackness in our own community, so why dont we start with Mahatma Gandhi?

The man was a racist. He actually supported racial segregation when he was hurt when people discriminated against him based on his race. How hypocritical do you have to be?

The point of the story here, is antiblackness is rampant in indian culture, and we shouldn't be ignoring it or turning away from it. I am majorly sorry for what I said there, and everyone who called me out was right:- we should speak up about the discrimination we face, but in no way should we compare ourselves to any other race, or undermine black people in any way. 1. Urged Jewish people to commit mass suicide

2. Forced little girls to sleep with him

3. Was extremely racist towards black people

4. Supported caste + poverty

5. Stole the credit of freedom fighters who died as martyrs for independence

6. Viewed women as ‘objects’ for men’s pleasure or pride

7. Cared for cows but not Sikh lives.

8. Constantly belittled and insulted his wife.

He was basically misogynistic, racist and a pedophile, why do we still celebrate his birthday and honour him as if he did the greatest things for our country?
