is it important to know how to reverse spells?? bc idk how but i still want to do them ah
You can still start doing spells without knowing how to reverse them right away. It’s a useful skill to have, but not necessary until required; if you want to know it as a sort of preemptive thing, that’s still okay. For the most part, you really only need to know how to reverse a spell if something goes wrong, but for the most part they should go off without a hitch. I didn’t learn how to reverse spells before I started casting them, is really my point, and nothing came up. So, unless something comes up, it isn’t too big of a concern, but if you want to have that knowledge beforehand, just in case, that’s up to you.
Sometimes you may decide you just want to undo a spell you’ve cast, maybe because you don’t need / want it anymore, or perhaps you even have second thoughts about casting it. I have only had to break one spell, and it was a jar spell, so it was super easy to do.
For a lot of spells, doing the spell backward or in reverse can break it. Literally breaking the spell down in most cases is enough. Jars just need to be emptied and cleaned / cleansed. Candles can be snapped or the remains thrown out. Sigils are destroyed or have their energy released. Knots are undone. Poppets are opened and thrown out. Even a very thorough self cleansing can remove the effects of a spell. Some spells even come with reversals attached to the bottom, which is handy.
There are lots of other methods that can be used to reverse spells. I can give you some resources on that if you want, so you can look at them and have an idea, just if you want to be secure in that knowledge before you begin.

So you want to be a witch! Here is my own mini guide to help you get started~
First, ask yourself: 1. What are my interests? How could these interests be incorporated into my personal craft? For example, if you love to cook or bake, kitchen witchery may be something you’d like to explore. If you have a passion for nature, you may like to explore green witchery. The list is endless. If multiple paths interest you, explore them all! You don’t need to pick just one. You may be an eclectic witch. Eclectic witches incorporate many different paths to form their own unique path!
Types of witches include (but are not limited to): kitchen, green, sea, cosmic, hedge, urban, traditional, elemental, eclectic, weather, chaos, divination, etc.
There is also Wicca. However, ignore everything by Silver Ravenwolf.
In addition, there is Druidry, Celtic polytheism, Norse polytheism, Hellenic polytheism, Kemeticism, Christian witchcraft, and more.
You do not have to be religious to be a witch! Many see witchcraft as a skill. Not all witches worship Satan. Witches are not “good” or “evil.” Take everything you read, by anyone, with a grain of salt. Witchcraft is highly personal, and there is a lot of misinformation floating about. Not everything will be factual.
Fancy tools are not a requirement! Tools you make or find by yourself in nature will work just as well (and usually better!) Make your wand from a stick you find on a hike, for example! Then you can customize it however you wish. Add crystals, ribbons, glitter, just make it YOURS! The same thing goes for your Grimoire. You can just use a normal notebook, or binder, and personalize it. You don’t have to spend big money on a book (unless you want to). Witchcraft can be as simple or elaborate as you want it to be. There is much more to explore than in this post alone, so stay tuned for additional posts on a variety of topics! Feel free to shoot me an ask if you have any questions! Stay spooky, be safe, and HAVE FUN!

For some reason tumblr insists on ruining the quality, but if you click on the image it is fine!
(For situations you cannot excuse yourself from, like being in a vehicle or an elevator.)
-Do not focus on being trapped, how badly you feel, or how disgusting you think the person is for making that sound. Try focusing on something else. Anything else. If you have intrusive thoughts, do not engage with them. Notice them but do not dwell on them.
-Relax your muscles. I never feel it happening, but my shoulders tense when I’m triggered. Forcing them to relax every time, has given me the ability to withstand my triggers longer with less of an intense reaction (Ex: I can stay in class now when someone makes those sounds. When before, tears would come to my eyes and I could no longer hear what my teacher was saying. I’m still extremely uncomfortable but I do not have to leave, I can still take notes, and it doesn’t make me cry. It took me about a month of practice before I noticed a difference.)
-Continue forcing any tension to leave. Do not dig your nails into anything and do not clench your fists, or you’re only increasing the intensity of your nervous system’s response. If you tense up, immediately release it.
-Take deep and steady breaths. You want to avoid hyperventilating if you feel panic rising. This will also help to keep your heart from racing. Count your breaths, as an added distraction from the trigger sound.
Afterwards:
-Find a quiet place where you can recover, like a bathroom.
-It’s okay to lie if you need to excuse yourself for a moment and feel that you cannot explain what happened.
-If you feel the need to cry, allow yourself to. Give yourself a set amount of time, like 2 minutes, to dwell on how difficult and painful that was.
-After that time, do not focus on the negative emotions. Simply feel them, accept them, and let them pass, while breathing deeply and steadily.
-When you feel calm again, celebrate. You just survived a horrible experience. Text or call someone that knows about your Misophonia and tell them how well you handled it. Knowing someone is proud of you will help you feel better about the entire situation and encourage you to feel proud of yourself.
-Consider developing a reward system. I like to keep candy in my pocket or backpack so I can reward myself for withstanding my triggers.
-Forgive yourself if you didn’t handle it as well as you think you should have. Sometimes life forces you to go over the limit of what you can handle in a day. This is a chronic disorder that is not your fault.

A little bit of magick created for @jesycastarr.
Before I get started on the magicky hoo-hah, I’m just going to write you a thing: you can address self-control (or a lack thereof) by performing grounding.
Grounding Visualisations ✧ Grounding/Meditation Chant ✧ Grounding ✧ Grounding Techniques
This magick will come in the form of a talisman, as talismans can be concealed as everyday items, such as jewellery - discreet and easily carried.
You Will Need:
The item you wish to enchant and carry; a piece of jewellery you wear regularly would be a very good idea.
Black Salt - this is normal salt, mixed with the ashes of this sigil after it has been drawn on paper and burned. **(Salt is cleansing, and can be used to charge your talisman, and it is imbued with the control-giving power of the sigil, which is activated upon burning.)
A Rhodonite crystal. **(A crystal associated with stability, self-control, calm, and growth.)
Pen & Paper - for the sigil.
A way to burn the sigil - however you choose to do this, be careful. Safety first.
A bowl.
What To Do:
Firstly, draw your sigil onto the paper and hold it in your hands for a little while. As you do this, focus on that which you wish to gain - in this case, focus on self-control; focus on gaining the ability to rein in your impulsiveness.
Burn your sigil, this activates it.
Wait for the ashes of the sigil to cool, and then mix them into the salt. You can use table salt, sea salt or rock salt - any salt, really will work just as well. The salt will probably turn a bit of a strange colour - this is normal.
In a small dish/bowl place your Black Salt, your soon-to-be-talisman and your Rhodonite crystal. This will charge the object and imbue it with the energy of the crystal.
To bolster the effectiveness of this talisman, leave it to charge under the Moon for 3 nights.
**Optional step: Each morning of the talisman’s charging process, speak or think these words as you stand before it: “Within this object my control is lain, bestow unto my being that which shall be mine; control over body, over action, over mind. Et sic factum est, et semper erit.”
When you feel the talisman’s effects begin to wane, and it will, you need only perform this same ritual again.

How to Make & Use Potions
Potions are usually made with a liquid base of either water, milk, syrup, or other. Depending on the intent of the potion, a spell can be [ritually] recited over the cauldron or pot during the brew, while stirring either clockwise (to direct energy) or anticlockwise (can be used to reverse spells). Unlike magickal tea, a potion can be either drunk on its own or a few drops added to another beverage. During the brew, visualise the intent of each herb or ingredient added, and state its use.
Afterwards, pour the liquid into a vial and use the potion within a span of one to three days, depending on the ingredients used. A potion can be left to charge overnight in the light of the moon to add more spiritual power.
