Okay guys Iâm just gonna say this, if you get mentioned in any of these Ray Ban charity event posts. DO NOT CLICK ON IT. It is a phishing website. DO not click on it unless you have the correct add blockers and safety precautions. Iâve gotten mentioned in at least 20 of these at this point, and a lot of them are from people I follow. That is because they have been hacked. They clicked on this link and their account was hacked. Please donât click on this. Iâm just bringing some more awareness to this.
just like a casual psa: as a filipino born and raised in the philippines, nothing pisses me off more than my ethnicity being collectively called âfilipinxâ like. we are not latinxs whose language is gendered or whose language history has led to the use of âlatinxsâ. filipino is a gender neutral language. we donât use âsheâ or âheâ for pronouns, we simply use âsiyaâ. we donât use the words âwifeâ or âhusbandâ, we simply use âasawaâ. FILIPINO IS A GENDER NEUTRAL LANGUAGE. stop applying western standards to make up some new collective term for filipinos. our identity as a people is fucked enough as it is with colonial mentality. nobody from the philippines actually uses âfilipinxâ in reference to themselves. using â-xâ as a suffix in an attempt to be gender neutral while referring to my ethnicity as a whole does more harm than good bc it makes it seem like my own language is not enough when it, in fact, is. why make up a new term under the guise of gender neutrality when the language itself is already gender neutral to begin with? it doesnât make sense.
if you wanna identify as âfilipinxâ bc of diasporia, thatâs cool. thatâs for YOU. but all i ask is to not use it to collectively refer to my ethnicity as a whole. it feeds into the colonial mentality that is so ingrained in our culture, where many filipinos conform to western standards in everything, from language to fashion to beauty, and it needs to end. we donât need westerners making it harder for us to embrace ourselves. itâs hard enough as it is.
back in 2015, tumblr made me start using âfilipinxâ to refer to my people under the guise of gender neutrality. this made me forget this small but significant part of my own culture. it made me forget my own language. thank god there were people who made me stop and think and get out of the western mentality that is so deeply ingrained in me by society. what i donât understand is how this trend is still being used to this day.
just. please. itâs 2017. call us who we are: filipino.
and to further my point, this has been already discussed here. if youâre one of the people still using âfilipinxâ as a blanket term for my entire ethnicity, i beg you to read the link and understand.

Imagine being born a shape shifter. You must have the worst existential crisis. Let say you have experienced shape shifting into multiple people, for long periods of time. Youâre gonna start questioning your identity. Questions like âis this my real face, or am I using the face of a person who I refuse to remember to cope with the fact that I donât know my real face look likeâ are gonna roam in your mind for years

If people can celebrate Christmas in September Then I have the right to celebrate Halloween during June
To any of the accounts out there using whatâs going on in the world as an excuse to further amplify your petty hate agenda against me and this community, you should absolutely fucking ashamed of yourselves. How dare you use the suffering of people to further your own petty, childish and gossip filled garbage.
Use that tenacity and passion you have to do something good with your time, especially now, instead of constantly bickering over false information every day.Be part of something better. I normally donât interact with this stuff because itâs incredibly childish and most of what people say is flat out wrong anyway but there are SO many more important things to discuss right now. Get involved and make the world a better place.Â
Today marks the first day of Pride 2020.
It also marks the seventh day of protests held in honor of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery. Itâs been 634 days since Botham Jean was murdered by a police officer, 233 days since Atatiana Jefferson was fatally shot by a police officer, 2,123 days since Michael Brown was fatally shot by a police officer, and 2,146 days since Eric Garner was choked to death by a police officer.Â
It has been five days since Tony McDade, a Black trans man from Florida, was shot and killed by a police officer. Â
At the time of this post, it has been almost 19 hours since David McAtee was shot and killed by the authorities.Â
This week has served as a stark reminder that those who have power in this country wield it recklessly and violently against Black people, non-Black POC, and trans people. For some, the power is found in their badge. In others, itâs their skin tone, their socio-economic status, their cisgender privileges, or any other number of privileges one can have. In 2018, with at least 26 trans people who were murdered, all but one was a trans woman, and all but one was a person of color. According to data collected by Human Rights Campaign, this pattern is all too common. It should also be noted that the number of trans people who are murdered is grossly underreported, with many families and newspapers often misgendering those who can no longer speak up for themselves.Â
On June 28, 1969, the Stonewall riots began as a response to the constant police raids of nightlife establishments frequented by the LGBTQIA+ community. That night sparked a revolution, with many eye-witnesses crediting Black and Latinx trans women for being brave enough to ignite what would become one of the most pivotal nights in LGBTQIA+ history. Without Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, there would have been no uprising. Without them, there would be no Pride.Â
At this moment, it would be tone-deaf and insensitive to commemorate Pride in the same celebratory fashion we usually do. Instead, weâre asking you to make the commitment to better the lives of the oppressed. Do the work to become actively anti-racist if you are not Black. Spread the word that Black lives matter. Spread the word that trans people deserve to feel safe wherever they go. Reblog this post, make your own, or find someone in your life who doesnât understand and do your best to make them understand. Donate if you can.Â
The first Pride was a riot. We stand with you.
Sonic probably told them that he was too âcoolâ for cute little plushies (they didnât believe him) but of course cherishes anything they get him
Sonicâs ear twitches slightly, the hedgehog snoring softly as he sleeps. Currently, he was in a cute little fort he had built with lots of blankets, pillow and chairs. He was curled on into himself, simply having fallen asleep on the nest of pillows he snatched from around his house. He swore he was gonna stay up late to nightâŚbut once he got comfy enough, he was out like a light. Didnât help that everyone was being so affectionate today. All those pets and ear rubs kinda tuckered him out. He felt so relaxed and warmâŚand along with the softness of the blanket and pillows surrounding him, and how comfy and warm it was thereâŚYeah, he had no chance. Right before he had promptly passed out, he was actually doodling away in his sketchbook. As well as snacking on some donuts. The blue hedgehogs gloves lied right next to the sketchbook, along with some pencils and colored pencils. The sides of the gloves were a smudged grey from the graphite. So right now, the hedgehogâs lil paw beans pads on his hands were exposed! Thankfully no one was around to see he had taken off his glovesâŚ
I accidentally skipped an ad on YouTube and I was hoping people on the internet could help me find it. The ad was a Japanese song roughly around 5 minutes. I remember it being sung by a female artist. The ad started out in a crowded city in black and white, with some text written in the side. The then turns into this mosaic like image. And after that point I accidentally skipped it. I tried searching for it but had no luck. I was hoping the people of the Internet could help me. If you know any song bearing any resemblance, please let me know
After having read chapter 200 on demon slayer. I have some thoughts I would like to express. *clears throat* AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh *slowly turns to sobbing* Thank youâŚ
But if her quirk is absorbing light she'd be quite similar to a black hole.
And if I remember correctly black holes aren't really black, light can't bounce off a black hole, so it's practically invisible. So it isn't that far off.
But I still feel that it's more close to the bending light one though
In the world of my hero academia there a lot of interesting quirks. But the one thatâs been bugging me is Hagakureâs quirk
If I remember correctly her quirk is invisibility. That thing thatâs been bugging me is how her vision works?
If I remember correctly (do correct if Iâm wrong) the way we humans see is when light hits an object, bounces off and enter our eye and transforms into signals are brain register
And if Hagakureâs invisible light passes through every part of her body besides clothing, including her eyes. And since light passes through her she couldnât see
After a while I think I got an answer on what Hagakureâs quirk really is, well two actually
One is that her quirk is to absorb light (or somethings like that) so that way she can be invisible while still being to see. Which explains her special move during the provisional license exam.
Two is that her quirk is to bend light. In the latest chapter of my hero academia we can see her curving aoyamaâs laser which got me this conclusion. Instead of light going through her, the light is curving around her.
I dunno, these are just my thoughts, please tell me your thoughts
And Iâm not sure about the science behind though. Been a while since we tackled this subject

This is literally the last month you can reblog this joke
I've only had the new live action sonic for an hour and a half and I already adopt and protect him
Any and every type of abuse should be taken seriously and not be treated as a joke.
Anyone who says otherwise, I'm sorry but I don't think I can look at you the same way
