The angst 😔
Rumours say:
"The Ramshackle mansion used to be a dorm with only two students who were one once"
"Not so long ago too! A monster and a magicless human, inseparable they were, and so many tragedies they faced, seven overblots"
"They say that there was an eighth one, this was the one who took their life, and the last one in Night Raven, the reign of overblots was stopped by a magicless human and their monster... at the cost of their life... taken by the same monster they loved"
"That's just a rumor tho"
"A sad one"
"That probably is just a made up story"
"Yeah... wanna scare the 1th years with it tho?"
"Hell yeah dude!"
That's what the students say, what they don't notice is how diferent the collage is at this age.
They don't ask why there's a therapist being hired for NRC and how rigid their contract is, bided by a powerful unique magic, sealed in the deeps of a grave in the same building the story revolves around.
Noone questions why every dorm has more bonding activities instead of competitive ones, between themselves and their "rivals", all promoted by the head of the house Alsim.
Noone asks why every year there's a gathering between very old students, all always there, some grumpier than others, but even those are open to listen and many advises to give.
Noone sees seven specific guest always passing by a grave in the abandoned building leaving flowers behind, each year is the same, but noone bothered to ask
However, there's a story the paintings sometimes tell, of a magicless student who didn't belong to this world, their roommate monster, their friends and allies, and how in the end, they could go back home even if it was in a painful way.
Sebek looks like he will steal christmas. WHY DOES HE LOOKS LIKE MR GRINCH?!?? No because look at this.
Ace goes to Jack for advice
Deuce goes to Epel
Yuu goes to Sebek
YES YES I FIRMLY BELIEVE EPEL IS THE BEST COUPLES THERAPIST . JACK TOO I WOULD GO TO HIM FOR ADVICE AS WELL . BUT .
i have one (1) disagreement with this and it is SEBEK. he looks like a GREEN ONION????? like who decided to give him alien colored hair. he looks like a bald man with a squirt of mint green toothpaste on his head. imagine going to a barber and asking them to dye your hair ONION GREEN COLOR.
Crowley voice: Why is it in a cage?
Probably the great sevens skull 💀

Sam: “Only if you don’t ask me any questions why I have these.”
Sam: *takes out a box with seven skulls*

Ace and Deuce literally share the same braincells.
Valentine with Heartslabyul ♥️
Aww. I love this
What about Plants vs Zombies! Yuu or My little pony! Yuu?
(it's time to unlock some child nostalgia)
Hello! I’ll be doing the PvZ one ‘cause I don’t think the magic of friendship can help Yuu here much.
===
I'm just here to mix-and-match different kinds of Yuus with different kinds of personalities to see what monstrosity I can make. That being said,,, PvZ!Yuu brainrot!
Yuu here is eccentric and a bit crazy. Yeah, they’re manifesting Crazy Dave’s energy and also wearing the iconic saucepan helmet.
That’s just what happens when they’ve been stuck in a zombie apocalypse with no human contact for who knows how long and only have their mutant plants to accompany them as well as fight hordes after hordes of zombies every day.
One day they suddenly appeared in Twisted Wonderland and Yuu just takes it all in stride. Why? ‘CAUSE THEY’RE CRAAAZY!!!!! Kind of, anyway...
So, after some things happen that ended with Crowley dragging both Yuu and a bound Grim to the Mirror Chamber, the ceremony proceed to continue.
The students witness this weird person wearing a saucepan on their head and holding an empty plant pot—wait, does that… does that pot have eyes…?
It’s… It’s blinking…
Anyway, the mirror says that Yuu doesn’t belong to any dormitory and the fire incident ensues.
Everything was in chaos and the next thing anyone knows, there’s this blue plant thing with eyes on the previously empty plant pot that starts shooting blue projectiles at the cat that seem to slow it down until the fire settled down.
Yuu picks up Grim and smiles goofily at him but there’s this look in their eyes that tells him they understand. Of the loneliness they feel, the fear of being alone, and the desire of wanting to be accepted.
They rub their cheek against Grim softly and says, “It’s okay, kitty. You’re not alone, anymore…”
“…I’m not a cat…”
So, major crisis averted, the ceremony ends and the students go to their respective dorms.
Fast forward a little later and Yuu and Grim gets Ramshackle as their home after learning that they were from another world.
Yuu takes one look at Ramshackle and they already have multiple plans of filling it up with plants.
Just imagine being Crowley visiting Yuu and Grim the next day to tell them they need to clean the Main Plaza for their janitorial duty only to see a bunch of what looks to be sunflowers with faces planted in a neat row not far away, swaying gently and glowing lightly before a miniature sun pops out of them which Yuu grabs nonchalantly.
Grim’s there too, helping with catching the sunlight.
“What… exactly is happening here?”
“We’re collecting sunlight.”
“O…kay… And why, may I ask?”
“In case the zombies come and try to eat my brains!”
Crowley obviously never gets a proper answer so he just tells the duo of their job for today and goes on his way, still wondering where those sunflowers with faces even came from.
So anyway, the chandelier falling event happens and the single braincell group gets sent to the mines to get a magic crystal.
The Dwarf Mine’s monster’s pretty durable and even after being crushed under the weight of Deuce’s summoned cauldrons, it could still move.
So Yuu did the most reasonable thing they could think of and planted a Doom-shroom next to the monster.
Grim becomes curious of it since he was briefly informed by Yuu of what the plants they have can do but he doesn’t exactly know their specific abilities.
“Henchuman! Is that a mushroom? Why is it sleeping? What does it do?”
“They’re sleeping because they’re nocturnal! As for what they can do, well…”
Grim just watches Yuu break out into a crazy smile before tapping the mushroom with what seems to be a coffee bean.
Yuu then proceeds to scoop up Grim and lock their arms around Deuce and Ace’s own before dragging them all away.
Grim, Ace, and Deuce sees the plant wake up and then just… explodes.
They watch in horrified fascination at the place the Doom-shroom used to be and the massive crater that decided to take its place.
“Heh… boom…” Was all Yuu said, chuckling lightly to themselves.
So anyway Grim, Ace, and Deuce banned Yuu from planting the shroom unless they really, really had a good reason to do so.
Speaking of Doom-shroom, Yuu may be slightly crazy but they’re not crazy enough to ever give or even let Jade learn of Doom-shroom’s existence.
Or Hypno-shroom, for that matter, because who knows how many people they’d force into a contract if they ever used it.
So anyway, Yuu and Grim become students of NRC and people get to know Yuu as that weird person who always carry around a usually empty plant pot that had eyes and seemed to be sentient.
They also sometimes speak in grumbles and gibberish which confuses others most often than not but they eventually realizes that Yuu’s a good person who likes to help others.
Anyway, every time Floyd sees Yuu, he tries to squeeze them.
If Yuu can’t escape in time from Floyd’s grasp, they always plant a Chomper in their pot which proceeds to bite Floyd’s head. That was all it does, though. It doesn’t hurt Floyd or anything. Floyd just finds the plant’s attempt at eating him funny which makes his hold on Yuu loose enough for them to escape.
Also, aside from Doom-shroom and Hypno-shroom, Yuu’s willing enough to show Jade the rest of the mushroom plants.
Jade’s favorite is the Scaredy-shroom. He just finds it cute whenever they try to hide from him.
Anyway, I imagine the pult plants’ ‘ammo’ can be eaten. Imagine Ruggie befriending a bunch of these and the plants just lets Ruggie take some of their ‘ammo’ to bring back with him. Infinite food strats, my friends. Ruggie’s gonna go places.
Also, there’s Marigold but the questions is, would Marigold produce Twisted Wonderland’s currency or the currency from Yuu’s world?
“I don’t want to destroy this place’s economy… I’m not that crazy.”, says Yuu.
Also, the overblot…
Imagine Yuu planting a Repeater on the pot and whoever overblotted mocks them because what can a piece of pea do to them?
Cue Repeater turning into a Gatling Pea.
Additionally, Cob Cannons. Hecc, even a simple Cherry Bomb can do the job and knock the overblot boys out in an instant. The Doom-shroom is still banned as usual, though.
Yuu literally has access to military-grade firepower, everyone should fear them. Well, assuming they have enough sunlight, that is, but that doesn’t seem to be a problem for them.
Imagine Deuce and Ace entering Yuu’s Zen Garden and sees a heccing Doom-shroom there, completely awake.
After the initial panic, they soon find out from Grim that it can actually choose whether to detonate itself or not which makes them significantly relax since there wasn’t any danger of it blowing up anytime soon, right? Right?
Yuu planting Planterns all over Ramshackle to save on electricity bills.
Wait, does Ramshackle even have working electricity? Or does it use magic?
Yuu gave Epel a Cattail on a pot one time.
Epel was a bit offended because he thought Yuu was mocking him for being cute-looking.
Yuu: “You remind me of a Cattail. Cute-”
Epel: *offended noise*
Yuu: “-and also very deadly.
Epel: :0
Epel then finds out that Cattail can shoot sharp projectiles out of their tail that homes in on people or things they considered as an enemy. It instantly became his favorite plant.
Epel was very confused when the cat-looking plant started barking, though.
Yuu gives others plants if they know the others won’t use it for nefarious reasons. They’d know if they did and it would be extremely easy to take the plant away from them without the other’s knowledge.
When Yuu finds out about Silver’s tendency to sleep a lot, they were very curious if their Coffee Bean would work on him.
Lilia walking in on the sight of Yuu lightly tapping the Coffee Bean in their hand against sleeping Silver’s face. He has pictures.
Sadly, the Coffee Bean does not work.
Yuu asks Silver if they want to take a bite out of the Coffee Bean to see if it’d help him stay awake but Silver refused because he didn’t really have the heart to take a bite out of the bean, especially when it was looking at him with wide eyes and a smile on its little bean face.
Yuu and Grim talking one night and Yuu casually says,
“You know Grim. I like it very much in this place. It has humans in it and no zombies. The zombies in my world aren’t really friendly and they keep trying to eat my brain but I need my brain so I don’t let them.”
“…Your world has what now?”
Yoo. Yuu's giving me a very much Bob Ross vibes.
I’m just here to mix-and-match different kinds of Yuus with different kinds of personalities to see what monstrosity I can make. That being said,,, Older!Yuu brainrot!
Honestly? I just wanted to make Crowley a simp and it escalated.
Anyway, Older!Yuu who’s always exhausted, gives weird life stories that may or may not be true, gives oddly good advice, and mostly has no fucks to give anymore.
Also has that dilf/milf/pilf vibes going on, even with or without children.
Then again, it doesn’t even matter if they have children or not cause they’re going to end up adopting majority, if not all, of the school, anyway.
Yuu wakes up in the coffin, pauses to take in where they were, and then curses.
“Fuck, I knew I shouldn’t have drunk that expired milk…”
They initially think they’re dead and just spend a few minutes in the coffin chilling and thinking of things like, “At least I get to go free from the family reunion, that’s something…”, “Jannet’s baby’s ugly. Are babies supposed to be that wrinkly? Maybe I should’ve gifted them an anti-wrinkle cream on the baby shower instead…”, and “Damn, I should’ve had Matt pay me back the money he owed me in high school had I known I was going to die. That asshole always somehow conveniently forgets to bring any money with him whenever we meet…”
That is until they heard a voice outside the coffin and see the coffin’s lid being pushed aside to meet face to face with… a cat.
“Whaaaaaaa!!!! Why are you up?!”
“You know, I’m wondering the same myself…”

Six people locked in a room are each armed with one of the six weapons from Clue; a revolver, a dagger, a knife, a candle stick, a wrench, a led pipe, and a rope.
The groom uses the bride's veil to suffocate her.
Astronauts fight in outer space; oxygen tanks are broken, crew members are strangled with cables, windows get shattered, specimens are on the loose, and one person starts a fire in the engine room.
Someone uses an object that usually isn't generally considered effective for fighting; they succeed nevertheless.
Two army leaders command their troops in a real-life game of chess; kings, queens, rooks, knights, bishops, pawns and all.
The hero accidentally kills an innocent bystander; they have to deal with the trauma afterwards.
The protagonist kills someone with a single punch to the gut.
Character A and Character B are handcuffed together and each armed with a razor-sharp knife.
Instead of using paintball guns, a group of teenagers are unknowingly armed with actual rifles and real bullets.
The battle takes place in a padded cell at a psychiatric hospital: no weapons, cushions lining the walls and only their bare hands to complete the kill.
Another Twisted Wonderland theory time! This round it’s about Night Raven College and its Headmage, Dire Crowley.
I’m catching up to Chapter 4 and one of the NPCs said this.
Then I was like-
Night Raven does not act like a big name university financially. What prestigious university has a rotting building with ghosts from a century ago in it(which really means that’s how long it’s been sitting there decaying until Yuu started inhabiting it). Furthermore, if it was such a prestigious university it could’ve handled one more student in the event of an exchange student or someone like Yuu coming along. Crowley was clearly able to let Kalim enroll on such short notice. Which has made me come to the following: Dire Crowley is a con artist who’s stealing money from the school for his own pleasure.
First off: So far there are at least five families who are rich who’s kids go to Night Raven( Schoenit, Draconia, Asim, Shroud, Kingscholar), and the Asim family paid for Kalim’s way into school. Not only that but Crowley gets 10% of the Monstro Lounge’s profits. There should be no reason as to why Ramshackle wasn’t fixed before Yuu got here. Which leads me to believe that Crowley is taking all the money the school gets, and putting it into his pockets. An example would be during Chapter 4, when Crowley goes on a vacation. A vacation that he really shouldn’t have been able to afford, when you think about the school’s financial situation.
Which leads me to an answer as to how Crowley is getting extra money aside from the donors. Crowley is consistently coming Hard Insurance Fraud. How do I know you ask? It’s easy, the answer right under our noses. The overblots are Crowley’s way of committing insurance fraud.
In the Heartslabyul chapter, Crowley was standing directly in front of Riddle as he was dangerously close to overblotting and even suggested the idea of a duel which further progressed the overblot. Crowley did nothing to stop Riddle when he could’ve done anything. Of course, the overblot damaged some of the school property. This leads me to believe Crowley is purposefully letting students overblot so he can claim property insurance money, and use it for himself.
Of course, there’s no proof of said property damage if someone from the insurance company wanted to visit, because it’s usually fixed by magic so no one can tell whether or not the insurance money was used to fix the damage.
Another instance of possible insurance fraud was when Savanaclaw was injuring people to take them out of the competition. Most of these injuries were mild to serious and probably required a trip to the hospital at least. It wasn’t until a Heartslabyul student was pushed down the stairs by Ruggie (something that can be deadly in an instant) that Crowley intervened and asked Grim and Yuu to investigate. Sure, Crowley could take a couple of broken legs and sprained ankles, but someone accidentally dying from a push down the stairs or getting stomped to death by a stampede of people was too far.
In conclusion, Crowley let people get injured during Book 2 so he can claim the insurance checks from their injuries. Assuming the student’s families don’t use their own insurance policies when their students are living their for the year.
Crowley is con artist!

i love writing characters with supernatural and magical abilities, have since i started writing. over the years, i've gathered bits and pieces of info to help me write a bit more accurately. so i thought i might as well share it with y'all!
disclaimer: i am NOT any sort of professional. these are just some things i like to think about when i write characters with powers. do with this what you will.
(btw, i mention a couple things about spn, ahs, tvd, and tua as examples in this. i don't think they're big spoilers, but just a warning just in case!)
where did your character's ability come from? how did they get it? here are some examples commonly used with this trope:
genetics: their family has the same power (Bonnie Bennett's magic in The Vampire Diaries)
they were blessed, poisoned, or cursed (Elsa's ice powers, Frozen)
they stole it from something or someone else (Mother Gothel's youth, Tangled)
they were changed into another creature or being (the blood virus thing in AHS hotel idk what it's called)
how old were they? were they born with it? did they get it when they became an adult, when they hit puberty, whatever? when did they get their power?
what is it, exactly, that they can do with their power? is it one ability, specifically, that the character has, or are they able to do multiple things, like the witches in American Horror Story, or the angels in Supernatural? it's very important to map out the exact things that this power allows your character to do, so that you don't completely overpower your character.
you should also map out what they can't do, and the limits of their power. like Five in The Umbrella Academy; he's able to jump through space and time, but, as we saw in season 1, he can also get stuck in a certain time period.
how do they feel about having this power? do they like it, do they hate it, does it scare them, do they want to change anything about it, etc. have they ever felt differently about their power, like when they were younger? if given the opportunity, would they get rid of their powers?
do they have to make sacrifices for their power? like Cordelia from American Horror Story, who was able to have visions and gain knowledge about someone's feelings or experiences through touching them, but had to lose her sense of sight in order to gain this power.
do they have control over their power? if so, did they always? if not, how do they deal with that?
does their power directly affect their opinion on things, their emotions, their mood, and/or their thoughts and actions?
does using their power cause them any pain or sickness? how about over using their power? do they get hurt or sick, or even just plain uncomfortable from not using their power for a long time?
can they lose their powers, with age, someone else's magic, pain, sickness, injury, etc? can anything weaken their powers?
if their powers can be lost/weakened, is there any way for them to get them back? and if not, how do they feel about losing their powers or the former strength of their power? is it difficult for them to adjust? do they wish they could get it back?
is their power something that's common with them, or is it very unusual for someone like them to have this ability?
are there certain weaknesses they have because of this power that they wouldn't have otherwise? for instance, foods they can't eat or environments they can't be in.
do the people around them understand their power? are they afraid of it? do they avoid your character because of it? are they jealous of it? similarly, in your character's society, are they accepted with their power, or are they maybe outcast?
is there anything they need to do to maintain their power? for instance, performing certain rituals, eating certain foods, drinking certain solutions or potions, etc.
is your character afraid of possibly hurting or manipulating someone they care about using their power, because they get so used to using their power or maybe because their power gets too out of control.
are they able to interact with other people despite their power? for instance, if they're a vampire or something, are they still able to be around humans without having the incessant urge to rip their necks open?
is there a way to suppress their power? can they do so with only their will, or is there a specific ritual or routine they need to do to keep their power down? and this is only if they have interest in doing so, of course.
is there anything they are resistant to because of their power? like in dungeons and dragons, how tieflings are resistant to fire damage? does their power stop them from feeling pain or sickness as intensely as they would if they didn't have the power?
I really hope this post was helpful for you guys! I know it's not a complete guide, but I hope it gave at least a little bit of information. and, of course, if you guys have anything to add on to it, please do so! I always love hearing your input!
make sure y'all take care of yourselves, and happy writing!

Every writer inevitably gets to that scene that just doesn't want to work. It doesn't flow, no matter how hard you try. Well, here are some things to try to get out of that rut:
I know this doesn't sound like it'll make much of a difference, but trust me when I say it does.
Every single time I've tried this, it worked and the scene flowed magically.
If your book has multiple POV characters, it might be a good idea to switch the scene to another character's perspective.
9/10 times, this will make the scene flow better.
Oftentimes, a scene just doesn't work because you're not starting in the right place.
Perhaps you're starting too late and giving too little context. Perhaps some description or character introspection is needed before you dive in.
Alternatively, you may be taking too long to get to the actual point of the scene. Would it help to dive straight into the action without much ado?
If your scene involves dialogue, it can help immensely to write only the spoken words the first time round.
It's even better if you highlight different characters' speech in different colors.
Then, later on, you can go back and fill in the dialogue tags, description etc.
If nothing works, it's time to move on.
Rather than perpetually getting stuck on that one scene, use a placeholder. Something like: [they escape somehow] or [big emotional talk].
And then continue with the draft.
This'll help you keep momentum and, maybe, make the scene easier to write later on once you have a better grasp on the plot and characters.
Trust me, I do this all the time.
It can take some practice to get past your Type A brain screaming at you, but it's worth it.
So, those are some things to try when a scene is being difficult. I hope that these tips help :)
