Tumblr: Now with 800% more frogs

Here are three real facts about frogs: They’re cute, they’re amphibians, and they’re on your Tumblr dashboard right now. All you have to do is Click for frogs.

This year Tumblr is celebrating Pride with Meet the Artist features, polls galore, and eight beautiful bouncing frogs adorning your dashboard.

Why frogs?

Some frogs freeze on purpose all winter long because they know nothing good is going to happen until spring. That’s so smart of them.

My uncle bought me a frog in 1999. 

They breathe through their skin. You have to respect that. It’s called “cutaneous respiration” according to scientists and “wicked cool” according to my cousin from Boston.

You’re all absolutely rabid about them. The frogs tag is followed by nearly half a million people. The world history tag is only followed by 5,000 people. You care about frogs 100 times more than you care about the history of the entire world.

I would love to say they invented morse code, but they didn’t. That was Samuel F.B. Morse.

Some people showed up to a meeting one day and were like “Hey, what if we…put frogs on the dashboard?” and no one could think of a single reason why we shouldn’t.
