jokes about english teachers overanalyzing books have done detrimental damage to society
Necklaces of all types
In the first pic, Kim is a celebrity keeping his distance from fans. Although he's now particularly drawn to one person more than he should 😉
In the first picture, he's fondly thinking if Chay which even clears his creative block, but he's in isolation. He's working. Maybe not on his hidden agenda. But he's still working on music. Thus he's channeling his emotions into music, his outlet, and not necessarily acting upon them. He's just transferring it from one cage to another.
He still has a chain on when he breaks Porchay's heart. This is interesting. Because this particular breakup in sandwiched between the 2 times Kim rescued Chay. Which makes his vague apology in this scene seem like : "I'm sorry (it's for the best) or I'm sorry (you'll not understand my greater cause)"
But it does show he's conflicted & hiding emotions.
The fourth picture is probably the thickest chain he's worn in the series. Understandably so because it's almost impossible to NOT melt in that situation 😭
How can someone stand without confessing their love for Porchay. When he's being an obedient student turning in homework. And serenading you at your door. In broad daylight. With the first love song he's ever written. For you.
I know you're Kimhan Theerapanyakul but still. HOW?! 😭✋🏼
PS Look out for the special part

Part 2
Special
All this cuteness & STILL it's the J Dent toothpaste product placement that got me lmao🤣🤣🤣
rewatching the vice versa episode and still trying to cope with the fact that puen really imagined a whole ass scenario where talay moved in with him.. like he really said 'if we lived together we'd be watching movies and i'd make popped rice for you. then i'd use your hand to feed myself, and you'd use my hand to feed yourself, and i'd suggest we ate something else, and you'd say we should get ready for bed. then we'd brush our teeth together, and you'd put toothpaste on my toothbrush, and i'd basically call you my boyfriend, and i'd very much want to kiss you'
and talay was basically like 'cool story, bro, but that sounds like we would fuck at the end'
MEANWHILE IM JUST SITTING HERE YELLING AT MY SCREEN LIKE PUEN WANTS TO MARRY YOU TALAY WHAT'S NOT CLICKING
The sincerity of this just punched me in the gut. Dayeol is not even mad about the poor treatment he received from Taehyun.
He rather sees the boy with trust issues and just wishes that Taehyun learns to open his heart one day.
As if that isn't pure love right there. To understand and try to move on, while wishing them the best. With genuine intentions.
Dayeol had every right to be angry but he chose not to.

Soulmates. Better half. Portkeys. The love of your life. CMBYN & Vice Versa's plot at their core are essentially these aforementioned concepts.
Call me by your name is inspired from Plato's Symposium. In Greek mythology, humans were originally four-limbed, two-faced creatures; split apart by Zeus and condemned to spend their lives looking for their other half.
According to Symposium, one's quest for a female or male half depends on the nature of their original being. The relationship between the halves is subjective, but is ultimately companionship.
However, when one meets their other half, be it a lover of youth or a lover of another sort, the pair are lost in an amazement of love and friendship and intimacy, and would not be out of the other’s sight, as I may say, even for a moment.” This is the highest form of love — “the people who pass their whole lives together; yet they could not explain what they desire of one another.”
"Call me by your name and I will call you by mine" implies that "you and I" are one being that was separated. Now Talay & Puen share parallels to Oliver & Elio.
Puen and Talay are going through something similar (as of ep 6) The duo find themselves naturally drawn to each other, but they do know what they desire from each other. They briefly even feign ignorance.
As for the concept of portkeys, it once again refers to the idea of 2 people who are destined for each other. Like a match made in heaven.
Puen is carefree like Oliver. It is very evident from his confidence when he says things like "I kissed you because I wanted to" or "I should simply marry my colorist then"
For a non believer of love, Talay treats love sacredly. He's quick to draw boundaries & teach Puen that love cannot & should not be faked. He's cautious, sensitive to language & doesn't take things for granted, just like Elio. Puen revealed himself to Pang in the first meeting but not to Talay who was practically joined to him by the hip on most days. Talay tries to hide his envy by telling Puen to get close to Pang by calling her his prospective portkey. This is parallel to Elio's jealousy over Chiara. And his attempt to objectify her to strike up a conversation with Oliver.
Although most Call Me By Your Name ends with Elio getting a little more cynical, here's to manifesting that Vice Versa will end with Puen feeling a lot less lonely & Talay losing his cynicism about love.
PS Call Me By Your Name is set in a town by the coast & a lot of scenes are on the beach. Talay happened to drown while playing at the beach. Not to forget his name itself means "Sea" (And the actor's nickname IRL is Sea lmao 😂)

Part 1/4
Lets first look at the 2 personas of Kimhan Theerapanyakul
Kim
Third son of the major family
Shrewd, calculative & sort of a silent killer in human form
Has no difficulty stopping emotions from meddling with his rational mind
Grew up in a world of organised crime
Watched his eldest brother get kidnapped & suffer from unhealed trauma
Was encouraged to inculcate trust issues & never believe in the goodness that exists in the world
Extremely good at reading people
Introverted
The last 2 points could either be inherent or acquired. Witnessing his brothers struggle, the constant rivalry between major & minor family must have made him lose his innocence quite early without even trying. (Imagine how sick it can be when the adults encourage cousins to be rivals)
I strongly believe he discovered something disturbing about his family which made him choose to move out & isolate himself. His ability to shut down his emotions with ease could again be inherent or acquired, but it only makes him more dangerous if he were to actively get involved in crime.
He could be gathering information after moving out for either of the following reasons
He discovered a family secret he shouldn't have which even his elder brothers are unaware of
He is disinterested in the family business & power play; lucky enough to have Kinn who made the sacrifice
It's all a disguise to gather intelligence & protect his brother from far
He has a plan which should be executed without his father's knowledge
WIK
Student at a music school
Celebrity, singer & songwriter, plays guitar & piano
Perceived as a common civilian by public
Has a good fan following
Gets equally impressed & excited on meeting a dedicated fanboy
My stance is that he wouldn't agree to tutor Porchay even if he was not a mafia's son. Because he is a celebrity; he would want to keep a healthy distance from his fans.
He himself admits to Porchay that WIK is the side of him which he prefers. For someone who lives in self imposed isolation (privacy is now at double risk as a celebrity & mafia prince) his art is an outlet for emotions. Music is his safe space.
Kimhan Theerapanyakul has no trouble compartmentalizing his life & switching personas.... Until Chay enters his life.

okay but why does Tinn look absolutely gorgeous when smitten but I am staring at my crush I look like an absolute idiot
# tinn being completely & utterly unaffected by gun
in my school president (2022), episode 2 ( part 2/? )
I suggest reading the previous 3 part series I made before this
The conflict
This is the only instances in ep 9 where Kim is conflicted when Porchay confesses. After seeing that mini shrine on his wall, hearing the love song, thinking of him during his own songwriting & now the innocent confession.
Kim stopped himself the last time when Chay serenaded him. And now Porchay has the audacity to be this cute innocent boy who promised God to risk confessing in return if he passed his college entrance exam.
Kim can't take it anymore. This is the ONLY instance until ep 12 where Kim has let his emotions get the better of him WHILE wearing a necklace.
This goes a long way to show the intensity of Kim's feelings. Considering he's somebody who suppresses his emotions with ease compared to an average person.
It can serve as symbolism for Kim letting himself indulge his emotional needs. He is removing his self imposed restrictions & involuntarily choosing to love. Choosing to be selfish in satisfying his momentary desire instead of constantly looking at the bigger picture.
And later when Kim gets a hug & hugs back. He's overwhelmed. He realises the warmth of a hug after being seemingly touch starved since years.

Yuuri Katsuki once believed gold was a finish line...
Yuuri thought moving to Russia would feel like the next chapter. Like skating into a warm-down routine after the final spin. Instead, it felt like standing on the edge of a frozen lake and realizing...he didn’t know how thick the ice was. St. Petersburg was beautiful. Beautiful and brutal. The cold clawed through the seams of his coat. Strangers stared. He missed conbini coffee. Missed vending machines. Missed understanding signs without squinting.
Viktor said he could teach him Russian. “Start with the important words,” Yuuri said. So Viktor taught him любовь, then здесь, then остаться. Love. Here. Stay. Yuuri didn’t say them out loud. He just nodded. Mila showed him how to haggle for apples at the market. Yakov yelled at him less than expected. The rink smelled like metal and ice—different than Detroit’s sterility, different than Hasetsu’s warmth. But it was a rink. He could work with that.
Viktor’s apartment had high ceilings and cold floors. Too many mirrors. Not enough ramen bowls. Yuuri unpacked slowly, like he wasn’t sure if he was staying or just if this was real life now. He forgot how to move with Viktor. He knew how to be his student. His competitor. His fantasy. Now he was brushing his teeth beside him, buying milk, folding socks. It felt more intimate than kissing. And when Viktor returned to the ice... Yuuri didn’t know how to watch him. As a coach? Or as a lover? Or maybe as the boy who once idolized him? He just watched. And felt like he was bleeding in reverse.
They trained at different times. Yuuri liked the silence. Viktor liked the music. Yuuri didn’t say he felt small next to Viktor’s effortless charisma or how much he missed being the only one Viktor skated for. They fought. Over nothing, at first: A forgotten lunch. A bad practice. A towel left on the floor. Then over something stupid Yuuri said, “Maybe you don’t need me here.” Viktor flinched. Didn’t answer.
Phichit called. Yuuri cried into his phone and Phichit said, “This isn't a 'lovers to enemies' trope. You just moved in together, it's a big change.” Then, they talked about Detroit and that time when attempted to make a pizza, almost blasting their apartment when they forgot about the oven. Now, they laughed about it.
The next week with Yakov's blessing, Yuuri started skating before sunrise. Alone. He built a routine from scratch. Raw. Stripped of flourish. Just breath and blades and fear. He didn’t show Viktor. Not yet. This was his. They apologized. In gestures. In silence. In holding hands under the table at dinner. “I want you here,” Viktor finally said. Yuuri answered, “And I want to stay.”
Yuuri learned how to curse in Russian from Yurio. He used it once when the toaster exploded. Viktor nearly fell off the couch laughing.
They started using Japanese at home. Viktor mispronounced everything with dramatic flair. But when he said okaeri, something knotted in Yuuri’s chest came loose. Yuuri finally showed Viktor the routine. No music. Just movement. Viktor watched, silent, glassy-eyed. When Yuuri finished, Viktor whispered, “That’s the most honest thing I’ve ever seen.” It didn’t get easier overnight. Some days Yuuri still felt like a guest. Some nights Viktor curled around him like he was afraid Yuuri might disappear. But there was laughter again. And practice. And tomorrows. Hasetsu was his family. Detroit was memory. St. Petersburg was still strange. But it was where his skates lived now. And his toothbrush. And Viktor. And if Viktor was here, then it was home.
Now he understood... there was no final pose. No standing ovation. This wasn’t the end. Because their love had no end. One night, curled up on the couch, Yuuri asked, “What now?” Viktor smiled. “Now?” He reached to take Yuuri's hand into his. “Next level.”
