Wait NO stop this is actually so good!}!?! .zc,mcasleij UM yeah. I really like it π and I really like the beauty pageant hc!!!
Idk how much you think about this as much as I do, but like, I saw ur art of jeckaβs mom and im actually like, π€π€ so uh, do you have any like, headcanons? About jeckaβs relationship w her and stuff or how she is as a parent (I canβt remember if it states in the game their relationship but itβs 5;44 am rn and I havenβt slept) π anyway ur art is super yummy
I actually do have some headcanons about Jecka's mom. Since I've been drawing her a lot more lately, these are just a mix of headcanons all together so it's not in order.
β’ Jecka's mom was a teen mom
β’ she was an aspiring model before she got pregnant
β’ she met Jecka's dad in high school so they're high school sweethearts
β’ she doesn't like nicole
β’ her and Jecka often buttheads due to her being extremely passive-aggressive and kind of cruel. Also, she was barely their emotionally
β’ she does want the best for Jecka, but doesn't know where to draw the line between discipline and abuse
β’ if Jecka were to have lived with her instead of her dad she would've paid for Jecka's college on her own, only if Jecka kept her grades up
β’ took her huge stash of prescriptions with her when she moved out which then left Jecka having to buy her own drugs yet again
β’ she was actually the breadwinner in the family, which made her husband insecure
β’ extremely insecure about her age and looks, thanks to Jecka's dad
β’ she hates Emily for obvious reasons
β’ Jecka's dad went for Emily because she reminded him of a younger version of Jecka's mom
β’ inadvertently blames Jecka and her husband for making her give up her modeling dreams
β’ put Jecka in beauty pageants until she was 8 so she can develop more confidence
β’ secretly meets up with Nicole's mom to discuss certain things together
β’ went into a long and very soul crushing depressive spiral after being married to Jecka's dad for so long she became a shell of a woman
β’ Jecka's mom was your typical depressed drunk wine mom with an open drug addiction
That's about as many off the top of my head, I'd like to read whatever you think Jecka's mom would be like, since I do have a lot of fun thinking about her as a character. Also thank you! I've been told my art looks like it'd taste like sour gummies whatever that means βΊοΈ

Nicoleβs very very pissed off ride-or-die
Nicole except when she thinks about jecka moving for college she gets so unbelievably angry that she doesnβt recognise it. The fact that sheβs getting her life together, moving away and wonβt be there to clean Nicole up after she gets so drunk shes sick. She feels dizzy when she thinks about it, being so fucking selfish but unable to stop because she needs jecka.
I got distracted
Tumblr wonβt let me respond to the ask but I love a good parent au, Iβm a sucker for it so this is so exciting for me @myl0v3l1f3
Nicole has several panic attacks during the process of them becoming parents (I think they would adopt bc I just donβt think either of them would wanna be pregnant but itβs definitely smth to explore). Her and Jecka are like mid 30s at this point and theyβre a lot more stable but they obviously have bad days. Jecka is trying to comfort her and remind her that they arenβt their parents and itβs a process but Nicole is convinced sheβll just fuck them up.
After a really long therapy session she decides to actually do something about it and buys a fuck tom of parenting books and spends the majority of her time researching childhood trauma and how to keep their home safe and welcoming for a foster child.
It was Jeckaβs idea to begin to foster kids and she was beginning to get worried bc with Nicoleβs anxiety, sheβs been really hands off with the whole process but after Nicoleβs new passion for it, it unlocks something in her and she finds herself loving Nicole in a whole new way. Theyβve been together for over ten years and theyβre ride or dies but now sheβs seeing Nicole as a leader for their soon to be family and itβs a really beautiful time for them.
Theyβre both extremely anxious when they actually begin to foster children, these twins come to them. Itβs a big and girl around 7 years old and theyβre very quiet so Nicole thinks sheβs doing something wrong bc she hyped herself up for this great experience but she thinks the kids hate her. Sheβs still welcoming and trying her best but her insecurities are starting to get the best of her. Until one day Jecka comes home after picking them up from school and the boy brings her a drawing and she fully starts sobbing bc itβs a small reinforcement that sheβs doing a good job and theyβre starting to feel comfortable. Nicole frames it and everything, sheβs so happy and she refuses to hide it. As they get older sheβll make jokes like βIβm his favoriteβ and Jecka just rolls her eyes
Jecka is a mountain of anxiety and sheβs done a lot of work to manage it and not project it onto the kids. She still has anger issues and sometimes when the kids are being kids but it overwhelms her, her hands start to shake and she goes to her room crying bc she thinks that means sheβs just like her dad. Nicole is rubbing her back and reminding her that Jecka has never put her hands on them and she never would. Being angry doesnβt mean sheβs violent and after she calms down
Iβm going to make ONE little hc about if one of them got pregnant bc I read a fic about them dealing with a teen pregnancy and it was funny. This is basically a shit post but I had to include it. After Nicole gets Youtube famous, Jecka traps her so she can secure her bag and she likes Nicole anyway so why not. Theyβre terrible parents and Jecka is βexcitedβ to have a baby bc the idea of having someone love her unconditionally is exciting but then actual motherhood is a nightmare. Nicole doesnβt know what the hell sheβs doing and theyβre starting end up turning into a family vlog channel to make more money but then once the kid is like 8 they stop bc they can see unhealthy habits forming and they actually love their child.
Some happier moments are Nicole actually enjoying a house full of kids when theyβre fostering multiple kids. Her house was always loud growing up bc of her parents yelling and then her numerous stepdads but thereβs a weird comfort in the chaos bc itβs familiar. She also really enjoys the routine of driving to school, pick ups, packing lunches. She likes to be needed and sheβs happy that sheβs able to provide a stable home with her partner
