Your Hellspawn au is pretty fun so I wanted to ask a couple of questions
1. How did Lloyd creating her actually go? Did he realize what he was doing in the middle of the process and couldn’t stop it? Was he just fooling around and suddenly heard a baby cry somewhere? I really want to know his initial reaction there
2. Was Hellspawn aboard the bounty when the merge began and was she separated from Lloyd for awhile? I really wanna know how they each handled that if so
1. I guess you could say he was fooling around.
It all started one day when he had a break during his tour and was spending it in Sensei G's new monastery. Basically, he had the thought that if his god grandfather managed to create anything using the same confusing essence that he recently won in the lottery, then he could too, right? And with Garmadon now occupied as a new teacher and Misako often aiding him or studying new scrolls, this idiot realized he needed something to do.
It started small. He managed to make a leaf after several hours and later on succeeded having a flower on his palm. But the problem was both of these were things he hadn't planned to create. All he did was think he wanted to make something and try to focus on that only to end up with a completely different object—unlike the fsm who'd had centuries to master his abilities before fathering two sons.
Lloyd's sessions went on for a few more days until one afternoon when he was concentrating on trying to create a kitten to bring with him when he resumed his tour. Considering his experience so far with all this, he didn't have very high expectations but hey, it was worth a try right? Besides, if he ended up with some other pet, it could still be a great companion. (accepting awards on the other side of the country does get lonely after all)
Slowly, he could feel a strange weight gradually getting heavier in his arms, so he figured he was doing something right and didn't stop. Well surprise, surprise it wasn't a kitten.
The next thing he knew, he was looking at a newborn. Perfectly healthy, ten fingers and ten toes—a living, breathing, baby.
Then, said baby began to cry and he immediately panicked.
Misako started calling him for lunch not long after. He took a long time to show up, and his face was completely bloodless.
2. During the merge, she was on the monastery porch just playing with her toys. And yes, she was separated from Lloyd for about five years, I guess. (That's how long I assume the time-skip between the merge and dragons rising is) Lloyd was a mess for most of that time — thank fsm that Kai was at least with him. For hellspawn though, I'm gonna need to save that elaboration for when part 2 of dragons rising comes out. I need to get a full picture of what kind of world the merge is making everyone deal with here.

Legend says the First Spinjitzu Master never had a wife to father his two sons, having created them with the gold running through his veins.
As his unwilling successor, Lloyd sometimes wishes he'd known that piece of information sooner.
Or; Lloyd accidentally creates a kid before s3 and ends up balancing both the life of a ninja and raises a mini him through the seasons.
Right, this is gonna sound really fucked up — and you're all going to hate me for this — but I actually want Lloyd to die at some point in the show.
And that...is because of these two:
Give me a dumb scene about Kai and Garmadon yelling at each other because of each other's grief and eventually having this moment of clarity where they realize that Lloyd wouldn't want them to do this and all that shit. Give me Kai spitting out "he was my brother" and Garmadon replying with an anguished "he was my son" and them connecting with one another through their grief. Give me a plot of a season that doesn't end with them bringing Lloyd back. Get Garmadon and Kai to sort out their differences throughout their shared loss or whatever. Y'all don't understand how much I need this.
So uh, I have both good news and bad news.
The good news is, the hellspawn au is finally getting its first multi-chaptered fic. I'm planning on doing one per season following the spawning (it's still weird using that word lol even a year later) of our dear hellspawn. And since I started this AU last year with a tumblr post of Season 8, I guess it's only fair that's the season for the first fic as well.
So, you're getting some chapters about Lloyd's sub-par-but-trying-his-best parenting skills, a chaotic mini him, the other ninja trying their best to be helpful & Harumi being the walking red flag no one wants to acknowledge but her dad is head over heels for.
The bad news is uh...(you're all gonna hate me for this 😭) her name isn't starting with L.
I'm soo tired and that made me not finish.
I headcannon he's physically 19 in SOG, and maybe 21-23 in Crystalized. In DR he just looks like a late twenties dork to me. His mental age is probably just 4-5 years younger though.
I'm sorry Dragons Rising Lloyd is NOT 18-19, maybe Crystalized Lloyd, but in Dragons Rising that is a young adult man he is like 23/24 years old he is NOT still a late teenager !!!
So, you guys know those cosmetic surgery vids right? The ones plastic surgeons make analysing celebrities? Well, since the ninja technically qualify as celebs-
There are definitely discussions like that about him. Let's just face it, this looks like a whole new person.
Hi.Since hellspawn is created the same way spinjitsu brothers are, shouldn't she age slower and/or be semi-immortal?Are Oni interested in her, because she looks human, has Oni blood, but also Dragon aura or smth bc she is created by the golden power? Also, how does she take Nya's departure in Seabound?
I would say she ages like Lloyd did but is semi-immortal just like him — well, the latter is what he hopes. (He's not planning on outliving her because of his fucked up heritage) He's still learning what traits his powers managed to give her that day, but genetically, she's all Lloyd.
So far, the only actual Oni she's ever spent time with was Mystake — and that wasn't even for very long or under good circumstances. All she got from that tea addict during S9 was that 'she's a curious case' — whatever that means. Lloyd doesn't get it either but he's too exhausted being the emotionally drained character in Hunted to ask.
Her quarter demon grandfather smelled that she was part Oni in Hunted at some point while holding her captive, but she didn't understand what the heck was going on other than this was her Grandpa who she hadn't seen in...a while. And he now looked weird too.
She didn't interact with any full-blooded Oni in MoTo, unfortunately. :(
She has some dragon traits too though — the frequent chewing on Lloyd's hair and any attempt to eat any object within distance is the dragon side speaking. And Lloyd remembers having the urge to purr while holding her when she was a baby—and actually doing it on one occasion. Now, he's not sure if that was from the Oni or Dragon...or just him. Sensei G never said anything about doing it when he was younger. And Lloyd never blurted out the question either—in his defense, he thought it was weird at that time.
And in not Sensei G's defense, he was passing by Lloyd's room when it happened so of course he knew what was happening—only, he didn't say anything. Just smiled and remembered the moments a much younger him used to soothe his newborn son that way.
Nya's departure doesn't feel real to hellspawn until after they've had her memorial. That's when it truly sinks in that her Aunt Ni's really gone. It's quite odd for her to think about—Nya's always been so untouchable.
But then she finds out Nya isn't actually dead and just...left. She left but they're holding a memorial. She left but they're acting like she's gone for good and will never come back. They're mourning her.
Well, a while after that she realizes the difference between dead and gone for good. Aunt Ni's still out there but she's never coming back. She can't come back. Whatever she did to save Ninjago won't let her walk through the monastery doors and get everyone to stop being sad. She'll never be in the hangar bay working on something with Aunt Pix & Uncle Zane or hoard all the coffee with Kai. She'll never be in the kitchen helping Jay fix something that's perfectly fine or dance-training with him in the courtyard. She'll never be seen painting Cole's sketches and showing them to him. She'll never firmly tell her dad to get some sleep or sit with him when he can't again.
She'll never be in front of her listening to her talk or take her for another swim. She'll never come back.
She's not coming back.
Hellspawn becomes very quiet in the months after that. Lloyd notices it and has a talk with her even though he knows he isn't fine himself. But all hellspawn does is nod and bite her lip at whatever he says.
👏👏👏 @emisnt2
When your dad who have a lot of issues got turned back into a teenager and have amnesia (fic by @namelysane )
also ‘you could stay’ ?
Time-travel fic where after Misako leaves her young son at Darkley's Boarding School, she meets a familiar-looking teenager on the way back. The teen looks startled upon seeing her — as though they've actually met before, which is odd, because Misako can swear she's never even once seen him.
After a while, the teen then introduces himself as Montgomery — which surprises Misako, because that's her last name. So they talk a bit, and Montgomery tells her a made-up story I haven't decided on yet, but it's just to make it seem as though he has nowhere to go. This causes Misako to say he can stay with her for a few days, and Montgomery agrees.
Misako then takes him to her home, all while noticing how interested Montgomery seems to be in where she's been living with her son after Garmadon got banished. During his stay there, Misako spends most of her time researching the prophecy, desperate to find a way for it to just be words on a scroll. One day as she does so, Montgomery notices a photograph of her with a young child that looks a lot like him, and asks whether that's her son.
Misako is very startled at the question, and hesitantly nods. Montgomery then comments that he hasn't seen any children around here. Misako replies that he's at school, and that it's a boarding one. Montgomery merely raises an eyebrow at her, before pointing out that the boy looks too young to be on his own. Inwardly, Misako can't help but agree with that, yet she still calmly states that he'll manage. At that, Montgomery goes quiet, which surprises her. However, Misako does not question it, and merely goes back to her research.
As the days pass, she notices how interested Montgomery is in Lloyd, and how often the teenager tries to question her about her son. He asks Misako all sorts of things, like whether she's writing to him and when she's planning to take him home or visit him. Misako manages to dodge the questions though, saying it's only been a few days since she's sent him there and he needs to learn to be on his own instead of having her coddle him. Another thing she notices is how much Montgomery resembles her husband, but she brushes the detail off as just a coincidence. And speaking of Garmadon, Montgomery also asks a lot about her husband as well.
Eventually, the day Montgomery's supposed to leave arrives and he does so without even trying to stay any longer. After he leaves, Misako shifts all her attention to her research to find a way to save both her husband and son, and this goes on for a while until one day when she....
....gets a call from Darkley's headmaster telling her that the son of Garmadon is missing.
Misako goes frantic. How could he have disappeared? It hadn't even been a week since she'd left him for FSM's sake!
However, some time later, there's a knock on her door. Startled, she opens it, only to see little Lloyd standing there with no one else in sight, and no luggage with him other than a stuffed toy which she doesn't even remember getting him. Upon seeing her, little Lloyd starts crying and reaching for her, telling her about how mean the other kids and even the teachers had been to him.
It nearly slips her mind to ask him how he even got back home in the first place, but eventually she does. And that's when her heart drops.
The fic ends with Misako deciding to officially take little Lloyd out from the school and bring him back home, promising to never leave him again. How could she have even done that, she thinks. How had that even crossed her mind?
Lloyd and Lord G are my coping mechanism. I'm also on FFNet and AO3 And yeah, I can't draw.
