Danny on Phone: Pick up. Pick up. Pick up. Pick up, please Jazz for once in your life pick up the phone- Jazz's Voicemail: The number you have dialed is not available. Please leave a message- Danny: NO! Ugh, okay, hey Jazz, it's ya boi, Danny. Could you come to Gotham and pick me up, please? Now I know I said I could handle the summer internship, and I know you said that it was a dangerous city, and you were right, so you don't have to gloat, but I really need you to come get me, okay? Code: Green Dog. If you call back and I don't answer, they got me. Love you. Tim waiting patiently, tied up in front of Danny: Does this "Jazz" not answer their phone often? I'm sorry, it's really frustrating when they do that. Danny: She usually has her phone on Do not disturb at this hour-wait! Stop trying to emotionally connect with me, I kidnapped you! Tim: I'm not trying to emotionally connect with you. I'm just making conversation. Danny: Well, stop it! Tim: Why? Danny: Because you don't have casual conversations with your kidnappers! Tim: Really? I always do whenever I get kidnapped. Plus, you've been rather considerate. You only tied my ankles and wrists together, and when you threw me into the truck of your car, you put in a pillow for my head. Danny: How....how often does this happen to you? Tim shrugging: Once or twice a week. Danny: A WEEK!? Tim: Why did you take me anyway? Danny: Um, you know Phantom- the ghost guy? He overheard the Mad Hatter bragging about using mind control on the Waynes. He ordered them to kill you in your sleep, but when I tried to warn your security team, they didn't believe me. I took you to protect you. Tim: I see. And how does "Jazz" fit into all this? You already had me in the trunk of a getaway car. Danny: First of all, it's not a getaway car. It's a rental, and the Mad Hatter put a hit out on us. We have to leave the city, which would be tracable in a rental. Tim: Hmmm. Is this the part where you knock me out before you tell me not to fall in love with you? Danny, horrified: No. Tim: Pity.

Single Dad Dead on Main

AKA "Danny is the ghost-equivalent of a foster parent for de-aged Dani and Dan. Jason's just wondering who the hell these two feral meta children are." prompt idea!

Danny thinks he's doing an okay job at being a single dad of two. They're living in a quaint two bedroom apartment in Park Row, he's managing his Ghost King money well, and the kids haven't died (again). (He's definitely not getting a "World's Greatest Dad" mug anytime soon, but, hey, at least the house hasn't burned down yet!)

...Until he wakes up from his nap to an eerily silent apartment.

If there's one thing he's learned over the last few months, it's that silence is not good. He's scrambling off the couch fast enough to give himself a headache, practically flying down the hallway so he can get to the kids' room. Ellie is wedged halfway under her bunk bed. Dan's also squished under the bed but quickly squirms out when he realizes Danny's standing in the door way. He's holding... a socket wrench??

"...do I want to know what you two are doing?" Danny deadpans.

Ellie scrambles out as well, smears of something oily on her cheek. For a seven and eight year old, they have surprisingly convincing I'm innocent! expressions.

"I dunno," Ellie singsongs while Dan simultaneously barks, "Nothing!"

Danny squints. The kids squint back. Yeah, there's definitely something under the bed that's not supposed to be there. Since Dan's holding a wrench (and where the hell did he get that?? Danny doesn't even own any tools aside from maybe a little rubber mallet he found in the hallway closet), Danny hopes thinks it's not an animal.

It takes a minute of arguing in which Danny promises not to be mad, let them eat ice cream, and let them stay up an hour later than curfew for the kids to even let him near the bed without biting him. (Jokes on them, the ice cream is sugar free and Danny's going to reset the clocks to an hour before. Check and mate, bitch! Parenting is so easy.)

And then Danny pulls out... a tire. No, a rim. Two tire rims. Oh, Ancients. Engraved on the tire rim is a red Bat symbol. His stomach nearly drops to the floor; everybody in Crime Alley knows what the Red Hood's symbol looks like. "Eight Heads in a Duffle Bag," Crime Prince of Gotham with a gang big enough to take over all of Park Row. And yeah, Danny could easily beat the guy, but that doesn't mean he wants to. He doesn't want to uproot Dan and Ellie from their schools, move cities, run from yet another organization that wants them dead.

"How did you get this?" Danny asks, utterly dumbfounded.

"I dunno," Ellie says, just as Dan's saying, "Nowhere."

(Danny takes it back. Parenting is definitely not easy.)

"Danielle. Daniel. Where did you get these tire rims?" Danny asks again, more stern this time, to which he only gets shrugs. And that's when he notices the window is open and the screen his missing. "You're kidding me. Did you climb out the window? We're on the third floor!"

"We flew, duh." Ellie rolls her eyes, only shooting a wide-eyed, guilty look to Dan when he elbows her with a vicious shuddup!

"I-okay. Here's what we're going to do. We'll... just return the rims. It's not like the Red Hood saw you two steal them-," Danny stops when Ellie and Dan give each other a side-eye. He knows that look. It's the same look he and Jazz used to give each other when they had a silent agreement about something. Oh, no. No, no, no.

"...he didn't see you, did he?"

Another side-eye look. Oh, Ancients. At least there's no way the Red Hood knows where they are, right?

(Jason stares at the kids playing with his bike. He's not stupid enough to think they couldn't have been paid to sabotage it, but the way the little girl hikes herself up onto the seat and pretends to rev the engine makes him think otherwise. It's cute. The boy mostly seems interested in the engraved bat symbol on his tire rims, scraping at it like it's a 3D decal.

"I wanna be a bicycle-rider when I get bigger. I'll wear the jacket and everything!" The little girl laughs, deepening her voice before saying, "I'm a bicycle-rider! I'll beat you up!"

Jason snorts. He's leaning against the fire escape balcony overhead and it's dark enough for them not to see him, but they both freeze at the soft sound. When nothing happens, the kids relax again.

"It's a motorist, stupid. C'mon, help me take this off and I'll build you one."

"You wanna take the tire? Why?"

"'Cus of the symbol! It's the Batman symbol, do you know how scared people are of 'em? Show 'em this and nobody'll mess with us."

The kid's got a point. Crime Alley knows Red Hood's symbol like the back of their hand, but somehow Jason doesn't think rolling around a tire rim is going to have the same effect. Jason's about to step in when the kid bends the fucking metal with his bare hand. His fucking bike. It looks like the kid barely broke a sweat, too; just wiped his hands on his jeans and started prying apart front of his motorcycle.

Jason's voice is more biting than he means for it to when he shouts, "Hey!" He swings over the fire escape, landing with a heavy thud, before hauling ass towards the kids. Almost immediately the boy yanks the girl behind him and snarls... and his eyes go Lazarus-green. Jason stops abruptly. His voice is softer, gentler, when he tries again.

"Hey, kid. Don't you know not to go tearing apart people's bikes? C'mon, at least do it the right way."

That makes the boy pause, looking momentarily baffled and the green turning into bright blue. Jason takes that as an in and says, "Y'know, it's a lot faster when you use tools. I've got a wrench in my bag. If you use it like this..."

Jason spends the next thirty-five minutes helping the kids steal his own damn rims. He shouldn't. But he's curious about who these meta kids are and they're almost painfully easy to talk with, they just blabber like they've never heard of keeping a secret before in their lives. They talk about their dad, school, their favorite tv show. And then they talk about "the bad men" and Jason's stomach drops. "The bad men" who drive white vans, capture people, and experiment on them. And that sounds an awful lot like a meta-trafficking ring in his city, dead set on coming after the kids and their dad.

Then he's very, very grateful he's letting the kids take his rims home. After all, what Bat doesn't put GPS trackers in their symbols?)

Ancient of Space

Based off of this prompt from @theglamorousferal

After Amity Park was transported into space, new rules and divisions were established. Thanks to Danny, the area slowly began to expand, incorporating nearby asteroids and lost pieces of debris that could be drawn in and added to the field. Due to the change in environment—and the exposure to external energy and ectoplasm—the residents of Amity Park began to change. As they became more and more liminal, their ears started to become pointed, and their eyes began to glow.

Not to mention, thanks to frequent interactions with ghosts, most (if not all) of Amity Park now speaks the language of the dead. Lifespans also dramatically increased—what used to be 80 to 90 years now stretches to 200 to 250. And when someone passes away, they automatically become a ghost.

Most of the adults have already turned into ghosts—though not all. Some didn’t become liminal enough, or didn’t live long enough for the transformation to take place. All the students from Casper High are now adults in their early hundreds. They know lifespans have increased because Danny asked Clockwork directly, concerned about the effects that much ectoplasm might have on the human body.

Danny has fully embraced his title as the Ghost King. He even technically made Amity Park part of the Infinite Realms. A large portal now allows travel back and forth, and ghosts frequently pass through to fulfill their obsessions or interact with the living members of their kingdom. Likewise, Amity Park residents often venture into the Realms for various reasons. It’s safe for them, thanks to an inner residential zone Danny set up—an area not meant for living, but stable and protected enough to travel through and interact with the Realms.

Back on Earth, Amity Park has become a legend. All evidence of its existence disappeared along with Danny and the town.

But that’s not the focus right now.

The Young Justice team—Wonder Girl, Impulse, Superboy, and Red Robin—was aboard a spaceship returning from a mission when they detected an unusual energy signature coming from a previously unexplored section of space. No one knew why it was uncharted; as far as they knew, the Lanterns had already mapped every accessible region.

As they approached, they expected to find maybe a destroyed planet, a dead star, or some other anomaly. What they didn’t expect was a massive floating landmass, torn straight from the ground and left suspended in space, surrounded by meteors linked to it via domes.

Suddenly, a young woman approached the ship. She had flowing white hair, Lazarus-green eyes, and pale skin. Most striking of all, she floated through the vacuum of space without a suit—breathing seemed optional.

She hovered in front of the ship's window and blew a cold breath on it, fogging the glass. Then she wrote a message asking if she could come aboard. After a brief discussion, the team decided that the best way to get answers about this strange place was to speak to one of its residents. They nodded in agreement.

Without warning, the girl density-shifted through the glass and gently floated to the ground in front of them. She greeted them in a language they couldn’t understand. Realizing this, she paused, thought for a moment, then switched to English.

“Hello,” she said. “My name is Elly. Welcome to Amity. So… what brings you here?”

Impulse, true to his nature, zipped around excitedly before stopping in front of her. “Hello, Elly! It’s great to meet you. I’m Impulse—this is Red Robin, that’s Wonder Girl, and over there is Superboy. We were flying back home and noticed this unexplored zone on our map. We got curious and came to check out the weird energy signal.”

Elly chuckled at Impulse’s boundless energy. She then offered to escort them to the main area of Amity. At first, the team hesitated, but Red Robin accepted the offer, recognizing it as an opportunity to gather valuable information.

They landed in the central district of Amity and exited the ship with caution. The first thing they noticed was the people: not too different from humans—at least, not most of them. But their glowing eyes and pointed ears gave away their altered nature.

Elly offered to give them a tour and answer any questions they had. The group accepted, unaware that the moment they entered Amity’s vicinity, all tracking and monitoring systems were disabled.

To the Justice League, it looked like all four of them had simply vanished.

(I would've made this longer but I lost motivation so I decided to finish it)

Prompt #17

Give me chaos >:)

so usually when baby man Danny is in Gotham, he gets picked up by Damien but what if he gets picked up by cass ( and just because i can De-aged Dan and dani as even smaller baby man and woman )

So Bruce and the boys have noticed that Cass had been acting a little weird and based on the thing she is doing such as sneaking extra food to her room stealing blankets from all around the house and for some reason buying pet toys it is safe to assume Cass has snuck an animal into the house, what exactly it is? They have no idea, and honestly they were gonna leave it since whatever it was wasn’t causing problems and it would appear cass was taken care of it.

Until one day cass was running around like crazy grabbing whatever she could and rushing to her room, she looked panicked. So everyone was obviously concerned and went to her room. But she wasn’t there instead the adjoining bathroom door was open so they went to go check in there to see her hovering over the bathtub looking stressed and worried, as they get closer, they spot something they have no idea what it is. It looks like a mix of a cat and a snake and whatever else . Bruce then asks what this is and what’s wrong why is she panicking?

Cass would then lead everyone out of the bathroom and then explained to them in her own way that she found this cute little thing and she doesn’t know what it is she thinks it’s like an animal from a different planet and alien animal, and she was taking care of it, but all of a sudden this morning it refused to eat and started freezing things and she’s getting worried because it also refuses to move, everyone seeing how stressed cass is about this weird alien animal or something starts making Assumptions like maybe it’s sick or maybe it’s getting ready to hibernate or something because they don’t know how this animal works. Maybe it has different things that it has to go through but before they can come to any conclusions, they hear tiny little chirps?

cass immediately rushes to the bathtub and squeals, the rest of them follow her to see the small creature now holding two tiny little versions of itself with Slight differences .

(I don’t know what to put further but all you need to know is chaos) >:)

Fic prompt #7

Dpxdc

Danny Fenton is the biological father of Timothy Drake.

He had a one night stand with Janet the night before her wedding.

She didn’t tell nobody about it, nor she tried to confirm whatever Tim was Jake son or not, but after some years even without proofs she could see the resemblance.

Not wanting his husband to find out she convinced him to stay out of Gotham for work.

13 years old Tim Drake-Wayne find the diary of his mother and truth about his birth and decide to try searching for his biological father

Tim Drake: Parent by Circumstance, Dad by Choice

Tim had met Dani and Dan months into dating Danny, when they were already deep enough in their relationship that meeting Danny’s… kids (wards? clones? complicated existential crises?) felt like a natural progression.

They were, for all intents and purposes, Danny’s, no matter how strange their origins were.

And Tim?

Tim adored them.

Dani had taken to him immediately. She was smart, resourceful, and had the kind of cunning that made Tim terrified for when she grew up. She was all wild energy and big grins, full of trouble and ready to recruit Tim into it. Which, well—he was a Bat. He might not have the same mischief-making instincts as her, but he knew how to scheme.

Danny had sighed the first time he caught them conspiring, giving Tim a deeply exasperated look as Dani snickered behind his back.

“You’re supposed to be the responsible one,” Danny grumbled, arms crossed.

Tim had only blinked at him. “Why would you assume that?”

Dan, on the other hand, was rougher, quieter. More hesitant in a way that made something in Tim’s chest ache. He was wary at first, slow to warm up to Tim in a way Dani wasn’t—but Tim understood. Dan had sharp edges, but Tim had spent enough time around Jason to know that just meant he needed patience.

Which was fine, because Tim had plenty of it.

Besides, it helped that they liked him. Dani loved that he didn’t snitch when she roped him into pulling pranks on Danny, giggling wildly when they switched out the sugar for salt and watched Danny spit out his morning coffee with distaste.

So he didn’t push. He let Dan take his time, let him get used to having Tim around. The turning point had been, funnily enough, when Dan asked Tim to teach him how to fight.

Danny had sighed about that, too, shooting Tim a pointed look that was probably supposed to convey Do not encourage him.

Tim had ignored it.

Because what was he supposed to do? Say no?

He wanted Dan to know how to fight. To know how to protect himself properly. It wasn’t like he was teaching the kid how to snap someone’s neck—he was teaching him good habits. Controlled movements. Defense. Dan needed that, and Tim was happy to provide it.

Danny could roll his eyes all he wanted, but he wasn’t stopping Tim.

Dan, predictably, thought Tim was the best after that—well, second best. Jason had somehow stolen first place. Tim wasn’t even mad about it. Dan would sit next to Jason with wide, fascinated eyes, soaking up his stories and nodding along to every dramatic retelling of a fight. (“And then I threw the guy through the car door—” “Did he live?” “Unfortunately.”)

Tim was fine with being second place. Really.

Tim had almost been caught with the ring twice.

The first time, Dani had nearly found it when she tackled him over the couch, scrambling over him with zero regard for personal space. If he hadn’t been fast in twisting out of her grip, the box would’ve gone flying across the room.

The second time, Dan had almost seen it when Tim went digging through his duffel. The box had nearly slipped into view when he yanked out a hoodie, and Tim had barely managed to shove it under his gear before Dan could get a good look.

But the third time?

Dani found it.

Because of course she did.

Tim had been distracted—exhausted from patrol, too caught up in the warmth of Danny’s hands pulling him in by the waist. He’d tossed his jacket onto the couch, thinking nothing of it.

Dani had been snooping.

He didn’t even realize until later. She didn’t say anything. She just gave him a look—one that was far too knowing for someone her age—but she didn’t mention it. She just tucked the ring back where she found it and let the subject drop.

For now.

But later, when the house was quiet and everyone else had gone to bed, she sat beside him on the couch, feet tucked under her, eyes flickering to him with something unreadable.

Then, in a casual voice, she asked, “Hey… can I call you Dad?”

Tim froze.

His breath caught, and something in his chest lurched.

He turned to her, eyes wide, trying to process what she just said—what she just asked—but before he could even begin to figure out how to respond, Dan, from where he was leaning against the arm of the couch, just shrugged.

“Yeah,” he muttered, gaze a little too pointedly not on Tim. “You’ve earned it, I guess.”

And Tim—Tim had to swallow past the sudden tightness in his throat, had to blink fast against the prickling behind his eyes. He cleared his throat, voice rough as he said, “Yeah. I think I’d like that.”

Dani grinned, throwing herself at him without hesitation. Tim huffed as he caught her, laughing as she clung to him like she was sure he wouldn’t let go.

Dan rolled his eyes. But his lips curled up, just slightly.

Tim had never been happier.

Okay, darlings. This fandom has managed to drive an author from it and they went out with a nuke. All of their work, gone. So it's time to have a talk. I'd love to think none of you were involved in it, so hopefully this is more a reminder to reblog than to have to apply, but it's time to have a talk.

First off, I'm not going to name the author. Their story is theirs. I'm just going to talk generally.

You DO NOT tell an author to kill themselves (kys) or threaten to harm them or that you'll find them or that they're writing their story wrong. YOU JUST DON'T.

"Well that's how I joke with my friends--" Stop. Authors are not your friends. They are at best acquaintances and more likely strangers. They might be friendly with you. I'm friendly with many of you because I see you often in comments/replies and such. And some of you have become friends. But the average author is not your friend, they are a stranger. And if you're the type of person who would tell a stranger to kill themselves, you need professional help in dealing with something deep inside you and I hope you find it.

Authors are out here writing entertainment and sharing it for free. You respect that and be kind. If you can't be kind, you leave. The back button is right there.

This is not an airport, you do not need to announce your departure. If a fic goes a way that you do not like, you unsubscribe and hit that back button. If it turns too angsty or sappy or violent, back button. If their characterization bothers you, back button. You do not need to tell as stranger providing free effort that you hate what they are producing. This fandom is so damn prolific, there's something out there for you, it doesn't have to be that fic.

Please just be kind. The world is horrible enough right now. And if you can't be kind, back button.

Bruce: What do you do if you wake up to one of your wards standing over your sleeping body, checking your heart rate while holding an Anti-creep stick?

Barry: Im going to take a wild guess here and ask: Was that Danny?

Bruce: Yes! He wanted to make sure I wasn't a vampire.

Clark: Where was Dick?

Bruce: Digging a hole.

Diana: Why was he digging a hole?

Bruce: In case I turned out to be a vampire, they needed somewhere to hide the body after Danny killed me.

Hal: Spooky, I mean this in the nicest way possible, but I think those kids you took in are a danger to the public.

Bruce: They're good kids! Dick is just going through a lot with his parents being killed in front of him and Danny.....well, Danny escaped a lab that his parents sold him off to. Both of them are having some trust issues right now and are acting out. That's all.

Clark: Bruce, last week Danny broke into my apartment and held me at knife point demanding to know what my intentions were with you. He wouldn't accept that we're coworkers.

Bruce: He probably thought you were a vampire. Danny doesn't like those.

Hal: Didn't Dick break into your house too Barry?

Barry: Yeah, but that was more so he could cuddle with Wally then to make threats at me. Danny, on the other hand, showed up at three am. after rumors about Batman and Flash sleeping together went around. He threatened to cut the muscles in my legs so I could be " The fastest crawler in the world" if I didn't offer Bruce a ring by morning.

Bruce: Why is this the first I'm hearing about that?

Barry: *shrug* I figured you knew since the next day you showed up and apologize for the boy's behavior.

Bruce: I did not know. I was apologizing for him breaking into what I assumed was to see Wally while grounded like Dick. Great, now the boy is going to kill me in my sleep and/or ensure I never get a lover again.

Diana: I think it's rather sweet. Danny is placing a challenge for your would-be suitors. It's like a wolf pup attempting to scare away mates from his father. No real harm was done.

J'onn: He set me on fire.

Bruce: What? Why?

J'onn: Apparently, my eyes were on your back for too long. I was admiring your cape, but Danny believed my eyes were focused too low, and I was instead admiring your bottom. Dick threw glitter in my eyes a few hours later.

Bruce: *sigh* Danny is overly protective, and Dick does whatever his big brother tells him to. I don't know what to do anymore.

Oliver: Tell him you're a vampire but like a sluty one that feeds on lust instead of blood. He'll get scared and leave your dates alone.

Bruce: That's an incubus. What you just describe is an incubus. Also, that's a terrible plan. I would be in a hole so fast.

Hal: Yeah, but they would cry while they buried you so there's that at least

Damian Wayne, twelve years old, is lost. This is a problem, because he's lost in a void of green and purple.

He'd tried to use a damaged Zeta after a particularly big fight, and found himself...wherever he is.

He clearly isn't on Earth anymore. He's fairly certain he isn't in his dimension anymore. He's about 60% sure he isn't even in reality anymore.

Cautious, he starts to explore this strange land, rappelling from floating island to floating island.

He gets trapped on one of the islands, owned by a very overexcited girl his own age. She has white hair and green eyes, her name is Dani, and she is very clearly lonely.

Dani tells him this is the Infinite Realms. Dani tells him he is a guest in her island.

Dani tells him that he can't leave until she lets him, per The Rules.

While she can float on and off the island, Damian cannot. The only reason he was able to land on the island at all, on her island at all, was because the floating island he was on had been passing hers by.

And that rarely happens.

And Dani is not inclined to let him leave.

To be fair, he is treated very well for a prisoner that isn't a prisoner. He can go wherever he wants on the island, he can eat whatever is prepared and ready, he has access to clothing both simple and extravagant...really, the only thing he isn't allowed to do is leave.

He can't attack Dani, because his weapons don't work on her. He can't attack her with a weapon made from his surroundings, because if he does that, then he really will be stuck.

Plus, he would feel...bad. Dani is, again, clearly a lonely...whatever her species is. She thinks he's her friend, for all that she only shows up on the island sporadically.

He isn't allowed to leave Dani's Haunt, and were he free, perhaps he too would view her as a friend.

As it stands, he can only see her as his warden.

After seven years of arguments and shouting and cold shoulders and mental breakdowns, she finally matures enough to see from his perspective, and steals him a metal ship specifically meant for roaming the Infinite Realms. She also grants him weapons meant to take on beings like her.

She has stolen seven years of his life, and Damian hates that he can't hate her for it.

After all, from what he can tell, her species ages slower than his does, and she's just a child who hasn't aged once in the seven years he's known her.

But he has.

He leaves her island, and finds himself hailed from other people like him on another island. They're...sort of glowing? But not really. Not like Dani was.

And Damian is curious. He goes to take a look.

It's some other humans, like him. They've been trapped on an island that, although it is built upon, does not appear to have an owner, or the owner never shows their face.

Damian lets them aboard his ship, because if he's leaving he's taking these other trapped humans with him. Their names are Kwan, Dash, Dale, Paulina, and their apparent leader, Valerie.

What follows is hell.

Not because of them, but because their island wasn't as abandoned as they thought. There was a being, like Dani, that lived on it. Older than her, this being had white hair and green eyes, and very much looked like it could be related to her.

The being attacked him, trying to get to the humans behind him, and Damian...well, Damian fought back, with the help of Valerie.

But Damian landed the final blow, after severely underestimating how strong one of the weapons Dani gave him was.

Damian won after blasting a hole through the being's chest.

This...was a mistake.

That being was, apparently, the son of the Tyrant of the Infinite Realms; Pariah Dark.

That being was the High Prince.

Damian finds himself hunted, with denizens of the Realms refusing to help him once they learn who's ire he's earned, and suffers.

He's given an artifact that will point them to a natural Portal back to Gotham, his Gotham, and Kwan and Dash accidentally break it. The ghost that granted them the artifact refuses to gift another, realizing they are Hunted by Pariah Dark.

He runs into a group of glowing green blobs that try to eat his new friends, severely damaging the ship.

They get stranded on an island owned by a being called Undergrowth, where Kwan and Paulina get eaten by and turned into plants.

Thus, Damian traded a year of servitude to change them back into human, and was trapped for yet another year.

They leave and skirt by the island owned by some sort of blue-haired siren denizen, only to get into a fight with the Realms version of a Warden, losing Dash and Paulina in the fight.

Damian, deadset on getting back home, told everyone there would be no more stops, but was overridden at the sight of a gorgeous jungle island.

That island belonged to a being called Skulker, and Valerie made a grave mistake by hunting on of Skulker's prey while on the island.

The ship is destroyed in Skulker's rampage, and all three of the human's he'd been fighting so desperately to save were lost. Damian, desperate not to fall, ended up grabbing onto a very small floating island, more of a rock, before falling off of it after an indeterminate amount of time.

Damian is, once again, alone.

Damian is, once again, on Dani's island, where he landed after falling.

He's right back where he started.

But Dani, after expressing nothing but joy at seeing him again, comes back to her senses.

She gets another being from the Realms, one by the name of Clockwork.

Clockwork, who tells him something he'd been deliberately not thinking about.

He's been trapped in the Infinite Realms for twenty years.

There's no telling how much he's missed, but from the brief flash of what Clockwork showed him, his assumed death was not well-received.

But Clockwork makes a bargain with him.

Clockwork will return Damian to his own time, altering it so that it's only been a few weeks, so long as Damian dismantles something called the GIW.

The catch is that Clockwork can only deage his body so much, and Damian will be going back as an 18 year old; seven years older than he was when he left.

Damian, desperate, agrees.

Clockwork reaches out his hand...and Damian wakes up on a rooftop, in a younger body, dressed in regal robes from Dani's island.

The robes are a message; that it was not a feverdream.

If Damian wants to stay in Gotham, in his home dimension, he needs to take down the GIW as soon as possible.

Or; Damian is Odysseus in DCxDP version of the Odyssey. Danny is adopted by Pariah Dark, and when he got defeated in combat by Damian Pariah took it personally. Danny recovered with the help of the Yetis, and has been hunting down and rescuing Dash, Kwan, Dale, Valerie, and Paulina, who fell into the Infinite Realms after trying to get involved in a play fight between Danny and Wulf. Every time they fell or got captured, Danny was right there getting them out. He was one step behind them the entire time. Dani does age, but her island is in a weird time area of the Zone, so it hasn't been years for her, and she thought Damian had a weird disease that made him age super fast, hence why she didn't want him to leave; she wanted to find a cure. Clockwork didn't like the timeline left by Damian disappearing for twenty years, and needs a cover to send Damian back, hence the deal. Danny gets summoned to the watchtower, but no one actually understands how large the ghost king/ancient of space is.

Constantine goes through the motions. As far as they can tell, everything worked. The problem? The circle is still empty. Foolish of them to think they could trap an entity of such massive proportions in something so small. Or that they could trap him at all. No the king is here, Superman is aware of an additional heart beat…or well, maybe not a heart beat, a buzzing type of pulse that wasn’t there before.

It isn’t until someone turns to look out the window and see space physically ripple that they realize the being is here, he’s just all around them. To large to fit in the space station and kind enough to manifest outside the station so as not to rupture the walls and kill nearly all of them. There’s a twinkle of amusement in what they think is his eyes before the shadows consolidate and slip through the micro cracks in the hull until a much smaller being forms cloaked in the space he resides over with a crown of shifting color and a boyish smile on his face.

“Hello!” He greets, his voice sounding young and childish, but is aura ancient and powerful. “What can I do for you today?”

Ghost of a Chance

Gotham was not a city known for its kindness. Rain slicked the alleyways like a second skin, and shadows crept where sunlight dared not linger. Alfred Pennyworth had seen a great many things in this city. Muggers, monsters, and masked madmen were just part of the nightly routine. What he hadn't expected, however, was to be saved by a ghost.

Or something very much like one.

It was supposed to be a quick errand—a quiet evening walk to clear his head. But halfway down Burnside, three desperate men with more bravado than brains cornered him. Alfred had been ready to disarm the first and disable the second, but he never got the chance. A blur of white and black swooped in, accompanied by the distant, bone-deep hum of unnatural power. The muggers were down in seconds—one frozen to the wall, another knocked out cold, and the third suspended midair by a glowing hand that flickered green.

The boy was there and gone just as fast. Alfred barely had time to register the tattered hoodie, the hollow cheeks, the white hair and green eyes that didn’t seem quite human.

"Wait—!" Alfred had called, but the boy was already gone, melting into the shadows like smoke.

The encounter would’ve ended there—just another strange chapter in Gotham’s nightbook—if it hadn’t kept happening.

Twice more, the mysterious young man appeared. Once to stop a purse snatcher near the theater. Another time to drag a lost child out of a crumbling building during a fire. Always fast, always silent. Always gone before Alfred could properly speak to him.

And always too thin.

It was the kind of thin that spoke of long nights without food. Hollow cheeks, knobby elbows, a belt cinched too tight around jeans that barely stayed up. It reminded Alfred of the early days—of Dick, of Jason, of Tim, of Damian. Of boys who had learned to survive instead of live.

Alfred Pennyworth had a rule: no one went hungry on his watch.

And so began his campaign.

At first, it was subtle. A wrapped sandwich left behind after one of the ghost-boy’s heroic appearances. A thermos of hot tea left conveniently near a rooftop perch. A backpack, clean and durable, filled with protein bars and fresh socks. Most of it vanished, though Alfred never saw it happen.

Then came the note, scrawled in messy, tired handwriting:

“Thanks. You didn’t have to. I’m not sticking around though. It’s safer for you if I don’t.”

The next day, Alfred left a response tucked in the same spot:

“You are not a danger, young man. I’ve seen far worse, and fed far worse. If you insist on continuing your streak of rooftop chivalry, I insist you do so on a full stomach.”

He added a slice of quiche. It was gone by morning.

Bruce raised an eyebrow the first time he caught Alfred baking two loaves of banana bread instead of one. Tim said nothing when the supply order mysteriously included a half dozen extra protein shakes and thermal gloves in medium size. Damian made a snide comment—something about stray ghosts haunting the pantry—but Alfred didn’t dignify it with a reply.

Then came the night it changed.

A patrol gone wrong. Batman caught in a collapsing parking garage. The comms went dead. Nightwing was too far. Red Hood was tracking Penguin. The only one nearby—untraceable, unregistered, and undeniably powerful—was the boy Alfred had been feeding for weeks.

He left the beacon on the rooftop.

“Help him. Please. –A.P.”

Within minutes, Bruce stumbled through the Batcave entrance, soot-smudged and breathing, but alive. Behind him, almost hidden in the shadows, was the boy. White hair. Green eyes. Shivering slightly, but still on his feet.

“I didn’t do it for favors,” the boy said. His voice was hoarse, too young for his haunted face. “I just... couldn’t let him die.”

“I know,” Alfred said gently. “Which is precisely why the offer of dinner still stands.”

“…I shouldn’t.” But his eyes drifted toward the warm lights of the manor beyond the cave, toward the smell of fresh bread and something sweet baking in the oven.

“No one escapes me forever, dear boy,” Alfred said with a small smile. “Not even slippery ghosts.”

The boy stared at him for a long moment. Then finally, like a candle burning out, he sagged.

“…Okay. Just for tonight.”

“Of course,” Alfred said, already turning toward the kitchen. “We’ll start with soup.”

Behind him, the boy whispered a name like an afterthought—like something long buried finally being said aloud.

“Danny. My name’s Danny.”

“Well then, Master Danny,” Alfred said, with the same fondness he reserved for all his wayward sons, “welcome home.”

Of which Vlad IS related to Bruce

Their Bat-ness must have came from a common ancestor. And that adoption thing.

But anyways.

Imagine Vlad contacting Bruce with his fam out of the blue, asking BRUCIE, HI NICE TO TALK TO YOU AFTER LONG PERIODS OF ABSENCE BUT IVE A QUESTION THAT NEEDS TO BE ANSWERED FOR MY KWN SAKE- how do you get your children to be civil with you???

Bruce: ... I am not aware you adopted kids Vladdie?

Batfam, listening to the conversation: it's cute that Masters tot we're civil to Bruce at all times lol

Vlad: Currently I have my godson with me and he's acting a lot like a combination of your sons in gala disasters.

Bruce: which gala disasters you're talking about? Coz you know we have the Rogues attacking galas aaaaallll the time-

Vlad: you know what I mean, cousin. Richard in the chandeliers, little Damian stabbing the handsy ones, Timothy making people cry left and right between his blackmails and "conspiracy theories"-

Bruce: (tries to imagine all that Feral in one body and failing)

Batfam: (omg new cousin sounds lit)

Vlad: so yes Brucie, I need some advice, please and thank you.

(Unseen: Danny gnawing his leg)

Imagine for whatever reason Danny gets turned into a cat (black with white boots and white with black boots when changing to ghost form, I imagine him as a fluffy long hair cat) and he’s in Gotham just running around and doing whatever. Only he’s not alone, no no, Cujo is here with him.

So imagine cat Danny, walking through an alley, followed by little Cujo happily wagging his tail. Just this black cat that looks high maintenance and a glowing green puppy following it.

They look like they have places to be, important places.

Bruce: The new neighbors are....odd.

Jason: What neighbors?

Tim: The ones who bought my old house. They're washing their cars on thier lawn

Jason: Oh heaven, forbidden rich people do chores you privileged-

Tim: They're using water guns.

Jason: What?

Tim: The Fentons are washing their cars using water guns. Granted, they are using automatic water guns, but still. They shoot like it's a execution firing squad.

Danny in the distance: BE. CLEAN. WEEP BEFORE YOUR FOUR WHEEL CHILDREN .

Jason: Wtf?

Bruce: Like I said, they're odd.

Everywhere but home.

The Anti-Ecto Acts applied only to North America.

The USA and Canada both permitted the capture, experimentation, and termination of ecto entities.

One night, after weeks of being constantly hunted down, Danny decided it was time to leave the continent.

At first, he was terrified.

He didn’t even need false documentation, since the GIW wasn’t looking for his human identity, and Jazz helped him get everything he needed.

He… didn’t even have to buy a flight or something, since his speed could get him anywhere.

So, a bit anxiously, he traveled down to South America.

He had a pretty good time!

People were friendly and welcoming, excited to share the beauty they had with them and Danny found himself so much more interested in other cultures.

Being surrounded by languages, Spanish, Portuguese, and even some Indigenous ones became much easier to learn.

Traveling around wasn’t a problem, he often found people happy to take him in for a shower and a meal.

It wasn’t safe all the time, but it wasn’t because he was a ghost, which was somehow nicer.

With much less anxiety, he started to travel even more.

Africa was the obvious choice since it was the closest continent.

The main cities were rich with people and modern buildings, making him feel a bit out of place like he was in a cleaner version of Hollywood.

Going away from touristy sites, everything started to become more bare, the people still welcoming, but weary of noisy strangers. Wich was understandable, so next came Asia, then Europe, Australia, and Antarctica.

By the time Danny was in his twenties, he had pretty much visited almost every country on Earth.

He was having fun, he really was, but in every new country he visited, he was reminded how much he wished he was waking up in his bed, spending the days with his family and friends.

Once, he met a guy in London, whose soul looked like Swiss cheese, that he helped with some ghost stuff. He was recognized as from America, so he explained what he was doing all the way in England. Apparently, the guy had connections with the Justice League and promised to help.

At several spots, he even met with Dani. Every time they saw each other, they remembered that, even if it was so diverse, the World was still very small.

He was in South Italy when his phone rang.

It wasn’t hard to keep in touch with his friends and family, sending them photos or even packages of stuff he found traveling.

He answered Jazz, as she started to cry happily about the Anti-Ecto Acts being revoked.

He… hadn’t actually believed Jonh.

His mind was blank, with her sister excitedly talking over the phone.

After five years.

He could go back home.

Bruce Wayne would fear Kyouko Mogami.

Not bc she could down him, bc he saw the Ren Tsuruga doll and heard her say it was to scale, down to the bones.

This young woman went and learned everything about this man and then proceeded to make a doll of him. A hyper realistic, to scale, doll.

Tbh Bruce would probably have to hold Tim back from trying to ask her to learn that.

To make my point clear, Kyouko recognized Ren bc of his bones in the manga. Like he was acting as an american actor (a scary one) and bc she recognized him she had to be given the role of the american actors sister. She had to act so she didn’t accidentally out him.

This is my favorite fact about Kyouko ❤️

Hood needs to hurry or Mr Freeze will adopt him

DpxDc #2

Ice core needs warming.

Danny's love language is physical touch.

He adored his dad’s crushing hugs, his mother’s forehead kisses, and his sister's way of putting both hands on his shoulders to guide him.

He loved the way he would accidentally brush against his friends while walking, how they would grab on each other during horror movies, how Sam would stop and pick the loose hair on his shirt, and how Tucker would press his hand against his back every time he caught up to them.

After being forced out of Amity and outed as Phantom, he started to miss Dash’s punches, too.

Any type of touch was considerably better than the cold he was feeling inside his chest.

His ice core made him feel like he was suffocating, the warmth of a human touch now felt more urgent than eating or finding shelter out in Gotham.

In the meantime, Red Hood received news of a new criminal in the alley that would target random people in the street and grab them, causing their arms to freeze over.

Little Snippets #10

"Oh hell naw!"

Goon Nr.1 shouted the moment the bag got pulled of Danny's head, and he squinted at the light. His eyes adjusted.

"I am not paid enough to deal with a Wayne kid!" Goon Nr.2 groan.

Danny blinked again. Now he could just... easily walk out of this, but the school trip had been boring, and he thought he could get in some rough housing if he let this men... like kidnapped him. You know? Like he does with his ghost rogues. But this was unexpected now that these guys were apparently getting a closer look at him.

"Come on its Wayne kid! The Ransom will be a big pay out." Goon Nr.3 said cheerful.

Danny blinked again, the other two goons giving the third one a rather deadpan stare.

"New guy?" Nr.2 asked.

"New guy." Nr.1 confirmed.

Okay, this was the point on which Danny was now puzzled. Who were the Wayne's? Why was kidnapping them bad? And was this a good moment to transform and get a bit of brawl in? He really wanted some action after all the museums and sightseeing trips Mr. Lancer took the class on.

Goon Nr.1 was now patting Nr.3's shoulder like he was an innocent child. "Dude, we don't mess with the Waynes because that alerts the Bats. We don't want to deal with Batman if we don't have too."

"Last time I worked for Peguin, he strung me up and tied me to a roof..." Nr.2 shivered.

"I saw him take out ten guys at once before... ran for my life that day." Nr.1 sighted before he shook his head. "And that's when Batman has a good day. On a bad day... you will have broken bones."

"And in the worst case, you get one of his spawns to show up instead." Goon Nr.2 added on.

"Uh... Spawns?" Danny couldn't help but ask, blinking from his spot on a chair, no longer tied onto it as he had already phased out of the ropes while they weren't looking.

"The Robin's!" The two goons said in sync and then proceeded to launch into an explanation about the Robin's, their theory about which Robin became which other vigilante according to the timeline and how Red Hood fit into that theory and also why they were so much worse when they showed up instead of Batman.

Danny won't deny it. That was kind of the most interesting part of his school trip now, as he sat there nodding along to the explanation Goon Nr.1 and Nr.2 were giving him and Nr.3.

Meanwhile...

Mr. Lancer was panicked. One Danny Fenton was missing. A Fenton was mission. He lost a God damn Fenton in an unknown city. He needed to do damage control and that quickly. Unknowingly alerting the Bats to the situation through contacting the GCPD to find one blue-eyed, black haired teenager.

Crime Alleys Savior

DP x DC Prompt

Around the same time as Batman appearing, a mysterious man had begun to make changes to Park Row, aka Crime Alley, in Gotham. The man had an uncanny feel to him, but what he was doing was genuinely helping the people who live in Crime Alley.

Crime Alley had changed when Robin had come under the Bats wing. Crime Alley was no longer the dingy rundown place it was, instead, it became a lively place that is under the protection of the man who changed it.

The man even took in a kid, a local Crime Alley kid, one Jason Todd. He teaches Jason, as well as other kids, self-defense against adults who think they can take them hostage to use as leverage against Batman. During the night, two new vigilantes stalk the night along with Batman, Robin, and Batgirl. Cardinal and Nightingale, a Meta Adult man who has powers similar to an old children's cartoon and a boy just a few years younger than Robin.

Nightingale had reformed some of the Rogues of Gotham. Kiteman isn't a Rogue anymore. He is now an Ally to Nightingale because Nightingale had somehow got the Ghost of his dead son to be with the man, Waylon Jones wears an Amulet to be human again, but when Nightingale needs him, all he has to do is take off the Amulet and help the man who made human again. Nora Fries is no longer sick, something Nightingale did had cured her from her illness, so now Mr. Freeze, aka Victor Fries, is working with the man who is the savior of Crime Alley to make a new clean energy source for Poison Ivy and Swamp Thing to be less hostile. Nightingale even made Harley Quinn realize that Joker abuses her and only cares about making Batman break his no killing rule.

On the day side of Gotham, Bruce Wayne had recently announced that he has a biological son along with his newly adopted son, so Damian Wayne and Richard "Dick" Grayson-Wayne are bonding much earlier than Canon. Timothy Drake has been outed to be living alone for a while by a mysterious source. Needless to say that the Drakes have been losing money and renown steadily, with Timothy becoming a Wayne when Bruce took him in, Cass will soon also be part of the Wayne family with Stephanie becoming Jason's sister, the Thomas family, along with many others were saved by Nightingale and Mr. Freeze when they found developed a cure to the Joker Gas.

Danny had fled his home dimension after he revealed his identity when he saved the planet from the Disasteroid. His parents didn't accept him, and neither did Valerie. The GIW had become too powerful when Vlad wasn't monitoring them, same with the Ghost Hunting team Vlad hired, the Masters Blasters.

Danny had arrived in Gotham after Clockwork sent him here as a sort of "Training Mission" for his Ghost King duties a few years later. Needless to say that he was pretty shocked and excited to see that his favorite comics were real (and petty that in this world, his life is a children's cartoon that is better than the life he lived). He's in Crime Alley, making it a better place to live in.

Danny had subjugated the League of Assassins by killing Ra's Al Ghul. The old Fruitloop had wanted immortality, and being a Ghost is technically being an immortal being. He made the League of Assassins into the League of Shadows, and they help the world by his orders and not Ra's orders. The Court of Owls will soon be in a war with the League of Shadows that won't affect Gotham much if it goes well.

Danny had taken in Jason when he saw that the boy was almost about to take the tires of the Batmobile because he knows that Jason's path will inevitably reach the one where he dies in that warehouse. Danny was the one to reveal the living situation Tim was in to the public. He's even helped reform some Rogues as his new Vigilante persona. It took a while to find Kiteman's son's ghost for him to be reformed. And healing Nora was pretty easy when he asked Frostbite to look at the woman. His experience with Sam has made managing Poison Ivy somewhat easy. He just needs to spread his Ectoplasm fueled things around to make the world a lot less polluted for both Ivy and Swamp Thing. He found some artisans in the Infinite Realms/Ghost Zone to make an inverse of Aragon and Dorothea's Amulets for Waylon Jones. He even used some of the stuff Jazz rambled to him about psychology to get Harley to see that Joker doesn't really care about her.

Danny doesn't know if Jazz, Sam, and Tucker are alright. He just hopes that they are, and they'll come to him when they make it to the Ghost Zone.

i feel like nobody has NOTPs anymore. like if you hate a ship now it has to be for some deep moral reason and you have to justify it to everyone what happened to just not liking stuff that isnt inherently bad but just because you personally think it sucks

You would think more Ghost King Danny fics would go into the politics and culture of the ghost zone but a lot of it is just DC crossover, he gets summoned, Constantine freaks out

Don’t get me wrong, I love that shit. But I want more political shit and cultural exchange or whatever

You know what, I just saw a fic where the ghosts from the zone think he’s a baby ghost right? We’ve all seen them and they’re super fun.

But what if it was the opposite? Most ghosts develop over time and absorb ectoplasm to get stronger right?

When Danny died he had a portal open on top of him fusing his dna with the realms. So much power shoved into such a small body.

When the ghosts see him they know he’s a halfa but what if they think he’s an ancient halfa?

They believe Danny is some crazy strong old ghost that needs to be defeated before he regains control of his power or gets his memory back.

Maybe they believe he implanted himself among the Fentons to help hide while he recovers.

Maybe that’s why walker is so made when he breaks the rules, he thought he was old enough to have written them

Eventually he starts to bond with the other ghosts and one day he asks one of them how they moved past dying.

I’m thinking ember.

They’re sitting on a roof one night after a pretty crazy fight and Danny just gets super quiet and ember asks him what’s wrong and he tells her the truth.

It would be 1 year since his accident and he still didn’t know how to accept what happened. How to accept that he had died and been reborn as something new.

Imaging her looking at this ancient level Eldritch creature that all of them had been trying to stop from getting stronger and realizing

Hes just a baby, they had been trying to stop a newly formed ghost from harmonizing with his core and discovering what his obsession was and they had succeeded.

If he hadn’t even been able to accept his death then his growth had been severely stunted by their intervention.
