Where did this picture come from? It can’t be a player’s ship, since the game’s naming system won’t let you name a ship Enterprise, Defiant, or Voyager or use their registry numbers.

@coppermarigolds, I suspect you will like this a lot.

Nasty little beastie, but a good doggo nonetheless
Who’s a good ghost doggo?!
Holy hell. I loved Beyond the Black Rainbow, and I’ve been waiting for years for Panos Cosmatos to be able to make another movie. And now he’s got one! With cults! And monsters! And Nicolas Cage!
PUT IT DIRECTLY IN MY VEINS.
Seriously though, this feels like the first time I heard metal that I really, really liked.
Following on from Esther’s little goof, For Honor technically could add “eastern Vikings” if they added the Varangians, Norsemen who moved and settled across central and eastern Europe, and who eventually formed the nucleus of the Byzantine army’s famed “Varangian Guard” and spurred the formation of Kievian Rus, the first Russian state. Of course, if you just want a group of teeming hordes from somewhere that isn’t Europe, you might as well use the Mongols. Hell, the premise for For Honor is so loopy that they might as well toss in the Maya, the Ghanaians and the Mississippian mound builders and just make game a big toybox full of medieval-era action figures.

I’m just reblogging this to tag on a recommendation for Gemma Files’ novel Experimental Film, a horror story about Lady Midday and the forgotten world of hobbyist silent filmmakers at the dawn of the 20th century. (Plenty of female characters to boot as well!)
The ray of blazing, scorching, devouring sunshine.
That modern Captain Planet discussion you guys had at the beginning of the latest @transmediacrity podcast was surprisingly resonant to me, @wyattsalazar. I’ve been chewing on this essay criticizing the first season of Star Trek: Discovery, and it seems like the attitudes and beliefs that the liberal TNG era was built on are now also verboten, and have been replaced by sadder, crueler things.
Ah, but you see:
1. Any man can go out and buy one cake and spend something like US$12 on a cake, but it takes a man of true genius and cunning to steal US$480 worth of cake and not even get a police reprimand.
2. For Lex, it’s not enough that he has forty cakes. EVERYONE ELSE MUST HAVE ZERO CAKES!!!
This is distressingly on-point. You should share that demo tape with me sometime, @coppermarigolds.
I heard @coppermarigolds wrote an eight verse song about #kuvira ?????
