I Really Am Just Baffled At How Many Leftists Still Treat Men And Women Like They're Different Species

I really am just baffled at how many leftists still treat men and women like they're different species especially in trans spaces. Like it's just nonsensical to me to think one gender is more likely to be evil or bad over the other, whether that's based on pronouns or someone's body or someone upbringing. Not only have we seen time and time again that this "unique ability yo be evil" just doesn't exist (literally any person of any gender can and does actively perpetuate the patriarchy, transphobia, cissexism and more) but the idiots that charge into the transandrophobia conversation acting like trans men are evil or stupid are Also from every demographic.

It's not a gendered thing, it's a problem with people falling for radical feminism and refusing to see equal rights as a non-gendered thing, and also refusing to accept intersectionlity as anything more than "having she/her pronouns makes your life harder"

I'm not interested in arguing with ppl that think men of any kind are not worthy of love, acceptance and support, or that pronouns or upbringing or genitals makes someone more likely to be evil. Punitive, accusatory and guilt-based politics should be beneath all of us and yet it's the core of the belief system of so many.

Another facet of this conversation I absolutely loath is how it necessitates prioritizing binary trans ppl and perisex language, because "men is evil" mirroring white cis feminism again, doesn't work in spaces beyond its original closed box lmao

I will never stop saying the furry fandom is intersexist until they remove the slurs for us (herm & futa) from their art sites, and stop stereotyping us and actively spreading the idea ambiguous genitalia = both genitalia.

i hope every trans man egg finds the community and support he needs to comfortably be himself

your masculinity does not make you scary

your masculine identity is not a threat or betrayal to women

it's okay to want hormones and/or surgery to feel more comfortable in your body

it's okay to want to dress and act as masculine as you'd like, whatever that means for you

there are people out there who will accept you for you

not everyone is going to project their fears and traumas onto you. many people are actively working on this, in fact

it's okay to love other men as a man

it's okay to be a man

trans man egg, i hope you get everything you need to live a happy and comfortable life as yourself

I'm so tired....

I had to block 2 people on my post who saw "stop generalized transmasc experiences and dismissing our struggles" and respond to that with "stop acting like there's a secret cabal silencing transmascs" and "you don't think trans men can live meaningful lives as men". I don't even like blocking people but it's impossible to discuss with these conspiracy brained weirdos.

Sorry I'm trying to boost the voices of trans men who are suffering because I consistently see them shot down and the world is dangerous right now? Sorry I AM a trans man who's suffering and in constant fear? Sorry my lived experience doesn't align with your strawman but I'm unabashedly a man and my struggles are real and I won't let you dissect my identity into pieces to try to fit your narrative that the more a trans man identifies as a man the less oppression he faces. It's literally not true at all.

I AM living my life happily as a man, it was the first time I ever felt complete in my life when I was actively suicidal as a woman and thought I wouldn't live past 22. What a weird way to dismiss someone talking about their oppression. "You're struggling and communicating it so something can be done about it so you must not be happy with your identity". I'm very happy with my identity, I actually had hope for the future before all this transmasc hate but it's been wearing on me because uncriticized hate against a group of people lessens our quality of life and makes it more dangerous for us to live freely. The government's insistence to detransition me makes me unhappy, the mainstream uncriticized hatred of masculinity makes me unhappy, the insistence that other people know our struggles better than we do makes me unhappy.

I'm very happy being a trans man and I love the trans men in my life and I want them all to be happy, but I'm seeing us all struggle, so I'm speaking out about it.

re: that other post. i HATE HATE HATE the modern trans discourse thats just "boys versus girls but Progressive this time I Promise ^_^" like you have GOT to be kidding me. its so so so odd to me that people can Be transgender and still come to the conclusion that Bioessentialism is Good actually, cis people are just doing it wrong. come the fuck on. does anyone remember when it was considered STUPID in the trans community to be policing peoppe based on agab. remember when it was embarrassing to Ask what gender someone was before transitioning. im walking in circles i feel ill Hello

Just because someone is a shit person doesn’t mean you get to be horrible back. and if you try arguing with me on this fuck off because i will block u.

Trans men do not have it easier than trans women.

Trans women do not have it easier than trans men.

Right now, trans women are dealing with hypervisibility. This means these women are the target of a shitton of gross caricatures and blatant transmisogyny in the news and in media. This means lawmakers will name trans women directly as they ban feminine transition and try to wipe them from existence. This means you can’t go a day without hearing about the horrible things happening to trans women all over the world.

Right now, trans men are dealing with invisibility. This means these men are the target of hate crimes that are never reported, or are reported as violence against women. This means lawmakers can sneakily ban masculine transition under the guise of “preserving female fertility” and “preventing young girls from mutilating themselves”. This means their stories don’t get as much attention, even when trans men get murdered in broad daylight.

No, this doesn’t mean violence against trans women never goes unreported, or that anti-transmasc caricatures don’t exist.

One group does not have it easier than the other- instead, they face transphobia that is enacted and enforced by society in different ways. Claiming that one is "better" than the other makes you a transphobe and contributes to the problem.

For the love of fuck please just TALK and LISTEN to people outside of your own community.

(I am aware this is an extremely binary take on this- I’m nonbinary myself, but I haven’t seen as many people arguing that nonbinary people have it easier. I’m sure there are plenty, if I haven’t already blocked their sorry asses.)

The divisiveness between trans people is so fucking manufactured, stop falling for it.

Daily reminder that :

-Validating a trans person's manhood only when you want to exclude them from certain communities is not being a trans ally.

-Validating a trans person's manhood only when you want to make them seen inherently predatory towards women is not being a trans ally.

-Validating a trans person's manhood only when you want to make comments such as ''eww...why would you want to be a man...?'' or ''k!ll all men, including trans men'' is not being a trans ally.

-Validating a trans person's manhood only when you want to talk about how they inherently have ''male privileges'' over women is not being a trans ally.

-Validating a trans person's manhood only when you want to exclude them from conversations about misogyny or reproductive rights is not being a trans ally.
