Rotates merfolk powers...

I feel like there's slight differences between different types of merfolk ofc but here's what Archie (and most merfolk) can do:

Manipulate water; move it around, levitate it, increase or decrease it's temperature, turn it to ice, evaporate it etc

Being immune to having his mind read by Psychics, be it Pokémon or people

Telekinesis.

Becoming invisible for a limited amount of time.

Shapeshift between forms (human and merfolk)

Enhanced voice / 'singing' capabilities. Think sonic screeches and siren song. Siren song gives them the ability to manipulate people's thoughts and actions through words (or singing if you're extra like that I guess). Most merfolk agree to never use that ability, and it's highly frowned upon in most circles. Merfolk who regularly travel to the depths have build up a tolerance / resistance for it though. (I HC the depths of the ocean are extremely hazardous / unfriendly and therefore super dangerous. Doesn't stop some brave souls from wandering there though.)

Enhanced senses underwater.

Can understand Water-types

They're one of the slower healers among supernatural beings. It makes venturing into dangerous situations extra risky.

This man has a fish tail. He really is a merfolk, then. Reminds her of folk tales her mom told her when she was little. Considering their ties to Tapu Fini and the sea, the people of Seafolk Village have all kinds of stories like this. But he probably has nothing to do with that...

Whatever his situation is, she can worry about it later.

Guzma is gonna kill him if he's caught saying Plumes. But it's just a fun nickname... Anyway, back to the issue at hand. Injured guy with a fishtail stuck in Plumeria's bath tub (him), and this new person. At this rate the whole of Team Skull will be aware of merfolk.

So he released his Toxtricity. "Just ignore me and my buddy just jammin' out a bit." And as if on cue, Riff the Toxtricity began to play some loud music, causing sparks to jump into the air.

Well, he's seated now. Ugh, he hates this. He's supposed to be the tough one here.

"Thanks... I'll b' alri' from here."

"H-here, lemme help ya up," he rushes over to help the merman up and to a seat.

Aaaand they're rolling back. He might've underestimated the pain that still lingered in his body. Archie winces briefly, but he's not gonna let it stop their fun.

Normally he'd continue fighting, but his side is screaming at him to Not Do That right now... So naturally, he attempts it again-- --Yep, Guzma's still on top after a failed attempt. Okay, let's try something else, then. A hand reaches for Guzma's back, and he digs in his nails, returning the favour.

Oh this is happening alright, in his own goddamn terms--
