Post-NWH peter getting a tattoo of 1. his name (in case somehow the spell starts affecting HIM too) 2. the handwritting of his loved ones.
He gets a heart that May drew on a note in his lunch, that he kept. He gets MJ's initials in her handwriting, taken off a letter she wrote him and slipped in his locker. He gets a drawing Tony once did on his robotics homework, of DUM-E (and he dosn't include the caption Stark wrote, "this is DUM"), and he gets Ned's writing, "guy in the chair", a "signature" he once left on a paper after Peter traced out the plan for one of his patrols.
Peter spent the last of his money on them. If he died before they remember him, he wants them with him.
(He finds, after that, that Peter is a lot more careful about his injuries. He hadn't had the motivation, until now, to stop himself from getting hurt. But he couldn't get an injury where the tattoos were. He couldn't mess up the last piece of them.)
Only been watching The Pitt for a few days but Mel King is THE best autistic character ever written in a medical drama. She doesn't "make connections no one else can" or "just see things differently" or any other Savant with Special Abilities stereotypical bullshit, she's a resident physician who's exactly as intelligent and capable as any other resident physician in the same year. She hates unnecessary yelling because it's loud and annoying, not because she's completely incapable of handling conflict. She usually keeps her stimming subtle enough to hide but sometimes she can't. She loves having a furry critter to pet. She accommodates an autistic patient by lowering the lights and closing the doors because she understands the sensory nightmare of an active medical setting. She speaks in a straightforward and honest way but she isn't an overtly rude inconsiderate asshole. She misses some jokes and takes things too literally on occasion but she does have a sense of humor and she is funny. She speaks up against misinformation and parent panic about autism and other developmental disabilities. She has emotions. She looks at a video of a lava lamp on her phone to chill. Doctor Mel King you have my entire heart
A VIDA PRESTA PRA CARALHOOOO
Q DIA BOM PRA SER BRASILEIROOO
This isn't even a hot take, but Percabeth weren't smart x dumb. They weren't even book smart x street smart. They were strategic x strategic. Their minds worked in very similar ways that complimented eachother. It's why they were such great friends, it's why they were a formidable team, hell, it's why they could fight a war against a deity with an army of forty fricking kids and win. They shared their braincells, in the most beautiful sense of the phrase and THAT'S why, for me, they're perfect together.
!!!!
WHO HERE THINKS THAT WE SHOULD'VE GOTTEN MORE ANNABETH AND POSEIDON MOMENTS? You know how Athena disapproves of and threatened Percy? Wellβ¦β¦β¦β¦.DO THAT WITH POSEIDON AND ANNABETH! Let them meet. Let Annabeth squirm. Let Poseidon smile, but let it not quite reach his suddenly cold green eyes. Let him size her up, and let her be found wanting. LET HIM SILENTLY THREATEN HER NOT TO HIT PERCY AGAIN! Let him disapprove of Annabeth's nickname for him! Let Percy defend it, defend Annabeth from Poseidon! Let Poseidon tell Percy that if things don't work out (in a way that he implies that he hopes it doesn't work out) that he can hook up with a sea nymph or naiad or something! I just feel like this was SUCH a missed opportunity. To show that Poseidon loves Percy and thinks that he can do better than a plain daughter of Athena! (At least Poseidon thinks so).
Can someone write this, please? I would, but I already have something else going on.
I wish Rick would do this in the show. Unfortunately he probably won't :(
That is one thing that I was sad about in the show. I wish we could have had commentary on how this is not okay.
AINDA ESTOU AQUI VENCEU O OSCAR DE MELJOR FILME INTERNACIONAL PORRAAAA
percy really shouldve kept the mark of achilles the whole tiber washes it away thing was so cheap
House grew up in a household where βif you were two minutes late for dinner, you didnβt eat.β It follows there would have been other rules surrounding food, likely things like βthis is whatβs for dinner, eat it or you donβt eatβ and βyou have to finish whatβs on your plate.β
I feel like this would be a possible explanation for why he steals Wilsonβs food so often.
House is conditioned to eat whatever is on his plate and finish it. House is smart guy though, and would likely find work arounds to his own issues/behaviours, ie: if itβs not on HIS plate the rules donβt apply.
It would explain why House sometimes eats off Wilsonβs plate and sometimes gets his own. If House likes whatβs available in the cafeteria and feels he can finish a portion of it he makes Wilson buy him lunch.
However, if he is unsure if he likes whatβs available heβll eat off Wilsonβs plate and if he doesnβt like it itβs okay because it isnβt his meal, there is no pressure to eat more.
Same goes for if House isnβt particularly hungry but recognizes he should eat something (could be lots of reasons for this but gotta throw in my personal headcanon of autistic House having poor interoception so he doesnβt always feel hunger, thirst etc but will sometimes go βI havenβt eaten in a while, I probably should.β) and so he tries a bite of Wilsonβs food and if he likes it, he steals half. The small portion is more manageable when he is experiencing low appetite and is less stressful to need to finish.
