guys i actually beg of you to not let palestine become an unpleasant flashback, a transient tumblr trend, a hasbeen subject that just faded away. as an arab—and specifically iraqi—girl, i know what it feels like to have family displaced all over the world as a result of western imperialism. i know what it feels like to not be able to step foot into your homeland because it’s no longer safe. as an american iraqi, raised in the us and insulated from my roots, it wasn’t until last summer that i was able to visit iraq for the first time, and even then my family was worried for my safety—in my own blood country. although nothing like what palestinians are experiencing right now, it might be the tiniest semblance of what it feels like to watch your country disintegrate in front of you.
and this is a universal arab experience. i volunteer weekly at a refugee center that serves middle eastern refugees, and every day i see the longing in their eyes when they speak of where they hail from. it’s safe to say that we will be getting a wave of palestinian refugees very soon: just another generation of arabs who can’t inhabit their own country.
arab culture is so rich, so profound, so beautiful. i am tired of being told by the world—through literal genocide—that it doesn’t mean anything. please never let this be forgotten. free palestine. free palestine. free palestine.
Just a reminder for people who may not know, in light of protestors at UCLA being shot in the face with rubber bullets— rubber bullets are not bullets made of rubber. They are metal bullets encased in rubber.
Despite being called “non-lethal” or sometimes “less lethal”, they are well known to cause death and permanent disability.
Here’s a photo showing their size— these are actual rubber bullets used during the Black Lives Matter protests in 2020.
Do not let them downplay the severity of what they are subjecting this students to for standing against genocide. Stay safe and stay educated.
EDIT: Twitter banned @/nosferatusexgod, the student shot, whose tweet I linked to (as a primary source) at the top of the post. Screenshots of the tweet I originally linked to can be found here.
i'm seeing people losing hope for palestine i'm begging you seriously please don't. the death toll is high but there are still people alive, there are still journalists risking everything to make sure the world sees what is happening. please continue protesting if you have the option to, keep demanding for a ceasefire and keep talking about palestinians both alive and dead. you have to keep going until the very end or else you really did fail them.
some people say there’s a red string that connects fated lovers
I accidentally promoted a scammer who copied and pasted Yasmeen's story. THIS is her actual gofundme, please donate to help her get her family to Canada safe if you can!!! And please, like, share, and reblog this post also!!
I made a post a while back of my fave Satosugu fics and here's some of my absolute fave artists! There are so many incredible artists for jjk and I'm constantly in awe but heres some I just wanted to shout some love and adoration too!!! ❤️❤️❤️
@nessieartss - I am obsessed with their older brother Sukuna au and his total lack of rizz with Megumi. It's incredible.
@diosaurr - oh my GOD their satosugu art is phenomenal but the way they draw Yuki too?!? Such a babe!!!
@xo-romiiarts - god I love the way they draw Satosugu!! Their comics are so hot!
@sadbenedict - the iconic basement au!!!! (Their happy satosugu art is amazing also)
@andlatitude -we had a moment where I realised I'd followed them from when we were both in the Supernatural fandom, ADORE their Nanago art!
@fushiglow - should be illegal that they can write amazingly AND draw like that!!!
@fuyuhen-art - I think I've reblogged their art so many times now because I can't get over how hot it is. The way they draw sweat?!? The veins in the arms?!?
@fah-keet - the hottest satosugu content made only better by the use of horrific cakes to hide the nsfw. Sometimes I see an outright nsfw and look for the cake because I'm ridiculous.
@petridumps - the cutest Nanago art. The way they draw teen Gojo and Nanami is incredible. The staring contest comic is such a fave!
@yuutaguro - so in love with the papamin au!!!
@franeridart - all my teacher satosugu headcanons exist in their universe because I love it SO much. It's just pure joy.
@owwllly - the way they draw the chests is too much. Too powerful, obsessed with their art style. The way they draw Suguru?!? 🫠🫠🫠
@3-aem (not letting me link not sure why) the way they draw Gojo is godly. He's SO pretty. Just absolutely beautiful artwork.
@arinavah - I'm feral for their chosoyuki content. It's just so good.
@uotuok - the way they draw soft and sleepy satosugu just warms my heart. I love it SO much. These boys need more cuddles!!! And the colours they use?!? It's such a beautiful art style I adore it.
@cottonhide - their art is SO pretty. I love the way they draw Fushiguro 🥰 but their satosugu kiss comic is one of my absolute faves. These boys are so dumb my gosh.
@strawbaryarts - my fave drawings of Shoko. Just the eyes get me so much. She's so done, I love their pieces so much!
@wacuoms - the artwork they do of Suguru breaks me, the way they draw his expressions is just phenomenal. Also buff lesbian Gojo my god 🫠🫠🫠
@to00fu - their Yuri satosugu is amazing and how I headcanon them as girls now! I loooove the way they draw Suguru's piercings 🥰
Can you imagine the heat?? Badass af
now more than ever, please vet gofundmes before you donate.
copy and paste descriptions into google to see if there are scam accounts reusing the same story, check to see if there are any images/updates on the fund with faces. go to the original blog, check if the post asking for help is only an hour old, or even less than that. refrain from donating if all it links to is a PayPal account, without any further confirmation of identity.
it’s horrible to say but it’s never been a better time for scam artists to exploit your generosity, when things seem so dire, and I’ve donated to campaigns before only to realise later that the entire story was stolen from an actual family in need. due diligence might take a few more minutes out of your day but at least you won’t be sending money to an opportunistic scumbag.
