It look similar, but it could also be just another quirk very similar looking. After all AFO has a lot of quirks which look samey.

Like it could be just air cannon being used differently or something like that, as Shigaraki is kind of propeling himself rather than float.

Besides is fun to imagine AFO being so petty that he would deny Shigaraki having his original quirk in any capacity just for the lols.

Here's a translation. So it's a quirk that works sort of like the way a double jump in a video game would work and allows you to float. Its pretty much a variant of Nana's just had rings when used to propel itself.

He probably likes to wear clothes that he found cool, and got a natural fashion sense and good taste. After all his winter look and that mask have so much style put in them, is hard to think they don't have at least a bit of thought behind then.

So about Cider hobbies, I did mention some times that he's a surfer but that doesn't limit to the sea. After all he uses his quirk to surf in land as well.

Can we call his activity urban surfing? Pretty sure he's one of the few people who can pull off such sport lol.

I can imagine him going with his friends or solo to a derelic industrial complex or a scenario like that, a place with a lot of obstacles were practice his style for fun and training at the same time.

He's also a very good graffiti artist who likes to leave his own mark in a lot of places. Very standar for a gang to do so, but Cider likes a bit more of personality for his own graffiti.

He probably has an artistic side even if he doesn't realize that. And most likely Cider is the kind of guy who consume mangas more because of the pretty art than the story itself lol.

Midoriya probably was surprised they share a common interest on some geek stuff. I can see them having lazy days of just chill and cuddling, both reading mangas of different genres with some music in the background and making comments here and there about the story and characters.

Not goofy goofy for Cider, not at Inosuke level, more like Midoriya is the one who tries to stay serious and focused while Cider is like "just chill bro".

Besides I imagine Cider would more street smart for grown in a more populated area and his charisma and confidence makes him better at communicating with other people, while Midoriya is still a bit shy and awkward. Plus I imagine Izu would be very afraid of demons (more than normal for a slayer but not Zenitsu level) and he needs to work on that while the story goes, while Cider is kinda indiferent to demons, maybe with a bit of excesive confidence.

For now Muzan is the villain in general, I can't see DS story working otherwise. And he would be their villain in a very general sense, as he's by defaul the enemy of every slayer, but their more personal enemies will be other MHA character reworked into demons.

However I can't see AFO working on a Demon Slayer based AU unless you make fundamentals changes to the story structure, as that story makes very clear since the first minute that Muzan is the only big bad and every other villains is under him.

And while I can see other MHA antagonist reworked as demons, not AFO himself because it won't work with his overall character to being the servant of someone else.

What do you think about another crossover AU for SeltzerBunny? This time with Demon Slayer.

It's kinda easy to adapt the respective canon quirks of our dear couple into Breathing Styles.

Cider/Mizunami obviously would be a water breathing user, and for this AU I like to think he would be tsuguko of Sabito who survived this time.

While Midoriya is a wind breathing user (cause you know air force and float and green aesthetic... whatever) who was saved by Masachika (Yeah he's also alive at least for now) from the lower moon who killed his mother.

That lower moon would be no other than BK, who is a promising demon in ascension who is capable of generate explosions like his quirk in MHA.

And this would make Midoriya quest for revenge his principal motivation.

Still thinking about the details for this AU and who should be the other characters adapted into it, as MHA having such a big cast compared to DS force me to pick only the necessary lol.

So while I did saw the first season of DS and do think it's well paced and better than MHA in every way -not a big achievement to behold. I didnt saw the other seasons, I got spoilers here and there. My point is how some of the names here are unknown to me.

That being said...I do like more aus for this ship.

How they meet and how is their dynamic?

He's having such a trip with each movie.

Shigaraki is way too boring and passive to have any believable rivalry with anyone in canon. Most of his interactions with anyone end up being flat and predictable because no matter what the other character has to say, we know Shigaraki will only focus on his "haha destruction" bs and the narrative will favor him over such character which is usually more interesting.

Nine and Overhaul on the other hand are proactive villains with real goals and methods to archive such goals.

They would be perfect rivals because they're so different yet similar at the same time.

I like your comparison with L and Kira because that's exactly the kind of rivalry with chemistry you could get if got these characters sharing same space. The moments could write themselves I swear.

P.S: There's some fanworks of Nine saving Eri and rising her.

Idk how feel about Nine beint a paternal figure, but he can't escape from his heroic heart as much he wants.

If nine and his gang were the ones who met Overhaul, how different would've things happened? Would they have created a successful partnership? Would nine care about eri when he discovers she's the centerpiece, especially since she has a quirk as crazy as his?

Now you're asking the real questions here.

But think about this: how good a meeting between a group who believes in quirk supremacy with another group who want to erase quirks from the world can possibly go?

Obviously if Nine and Chisaki meet each other and they both found about their real ideals and motivations it can make A.M and AFO look like best friends in comparison.

Yet at the same time I can help but think Overhaul and Nine would be the perfect rivals.

Not just because of their ideologies and the contrast in the way they treat their followers, but their personalities could make for interesting non hostile interactions between them.

I can see for example Nine actually being interested on learn shogi and play the game with Chisaki, both of them exchanging ideas and despite obviously hate each other they would enjoy try to surpass each other. A sort of enemies chemistry and that I love being used as a trope between bad guys.

Kai may also found nice the way Nine dresses up with good looking suits and keeps a mask almost all the time, ironically he might feel somewhat comfortable around Nine because of his manners which would add a fun twist to their rivalry.

And Nine will probably interested to learn to learn why Kai have such a complex with quirks and why he having a such godlike ability like Overhaul can't appreciate the "blessing" of born with that perfect quirk, at least on his eyes.

There's millions of possibilities with these two characters so different to each other interacting.

As for what Nine would think about Eri if he meets her? I guess he probably will try to free her from Chisaki and raise her into his own beliefs, since Nine would see Eri as a divine being who shouldn't be controled by anyone.

At least Nine would be more nice to Eri, but that's a very low bar lol.

I also imagine that on a more serious note all the kids would be afraid of the public backlash, but not for them themselves but their boyfriends who they think would face the consecuences if they mess up the things.

What they don't know if that each one of their lovers couldn’t care less about the public opinion, and even if it becames public before they graduate, the pros will always support and love their kids no matter what. It's until the last consecuence for them.

Also somehow you got right in all my headcanons about bakushot. Starting by the fact B.J is the best pal ever and he totally supports his bestie and his dear students dating.

Shinya manage to tame Katsuki with a lot of tea, aromatic scent, and many kisses as rewards. Lol he totally love the explosive personality and passion of Katsuki anyway.

Hawks also would totally made a joke about how both of them are shorties dating tall boys from Class A, and he would be the most smug about the many wonders and archievements of Shoto in front of the group. And while Shinya is usually pure humbles this time he couldn't resist say something like "Shoto is such a wonderful boy, but Katsuki still winned that sport fest" which drives Hawks crazy.

Meanwhile Aizawa and A.M just chill with their bunny and kitty.

I have this silly scenario in my head where after officially starting to date, Hawks decides to take Shoto to the beachs of Okinawa for a private vacation on the summer of his 2nd year, where they don't have to hide their feelings because none of their friends or coworkers are present...

Until in the reception of a couples-only hotel they walk straight into Katsuki and Edgeshot holding hands (promise rings included) and shit goes down.

Bakugou of course starts yelling like crazy, while the others are dead silent.

Then Aizawa and Shinso walk into the reception of the hotel holding hands as well.

I love when the kids are all dating their mentors and don't know bc they're all trying to keep it a secret.

I like to think the kids all take it very seriously because they would never want to jeopardize their boyfriend's careers but...the adults all know about each other. Hawks definitely (unsubtly) pestered Aizawa for details about Shoto early on. Jeanist helped pick out the promise rings, more impressed that Edgeshot tamed this boy in the first place if anything. Aizawa doesn't like socializing with them but he appreciates having an outlet to show off pictures of how Hitoshi sleeps curled in on himself like a little kitten.

The kids are all freaking the fuck out meanwhile the pros are just like "Were Yagi and Midoriya coming?" "Their flight got delayed unfortunately..."

Exactly! Also Nine isn't the kind of person who would find value on brainless goons like the nomus.

He would trust on the spirit and loyalty of real people.
