A woman isn’t a doll by Julia Tsvetkova
real women have body hair – and it’s normal real women have periods – and it’s normal real women have body fat – and it’s normal real women have imperfect skin – and it’s normal real women have wrinkles and grey hair – and it’s normal real women have muscles – and it’s normal
On 20 November 2019 Russian activist, artist and feminist Julia Tsvetkova was arrested and put on house arrest two days later, charged with “production and dissemination of pornographic materials”. She was also accused of spreading “homosexual propaganda” to minors, and was later fined.
On 9 June, prosecutors confirmed that Tsvetkova was still due to stand trial, provoking real life protests and online outrage. Tsvetkova would be forced to answer for several cartoonish drawings of naked women with captions that read “Real women have body fat – and it’s normal” or “Real women have wrinkles and grey hair – and it’s normal”.
If convicted, Julia faces prison terms up to 6 years.

You don’t have to love your body. You don’t even have to like it. But you have to find ways to live with it, as well as you can, and be kind to it whenever possible.
Your body is not the outward expression of your soul. It is not a reflection or a representation of your worth or your True Self. It’s just inhabited meat. It’s a flesh machine with planned obsolescence, and you have to take care of it.
It’s good to love your body, if you can. It will enhance your timed experience of the world if you can appreciate it without too much resentment for the ways it fails or disappoints you. But if you cannot love it, strive at least for neutrality. Make truces with it, however uneasy, and treat it with the respect you would show to any other animal shape.
Prom 2k14 with my girlfriend 😘 the best moment of the night was when a lesbian caterer came up to us and said “Seeing you two made my night. 10 years ago people like us wouldn’t be allowed to go together. Thank you” A memory that will last forever 💕
NGC 2035 can be found in the Large Magellanic Cloud dwarf galaxy that circles our Milky Way galaxy at around 150,000 light years from us. It is an emissions nebula, so is glowing from interaction with ultra violet light of nearby stars.
Tip for my followers:
If you want the large pockets of men's pants, but think you're too curvy to fit into regular men's jeans, try looking into men's joggers instead. They're wider in the hips, have the pockets you're looking for, and still come in all different types: jeans, cargos, chinos, sweats, etc to suit your style/needs.
Hope this helps someone :)
Oh, am I taking a lot of shirtless photos lately? I’m mostly just asserting the normality of the naked female body. It’s gotten real hip and trendy in our community right now to talk about “not being defined by gender.” I understand the sentiment; we’ve all been fed a lot of shit about what it means to be female, to be a woman, for so long that it just seems to be inherently true instead of fabricated by patriarchal society. I can understand wanting to stand strong, be seen, and say “these assumptions do not hold true for me.” The problem is, when that’s framed as the individual being “not defined by gender” or simply not being female, it throws other females under the bus. It says “I am not this way, but this is true about women, so therefore I am not woman and not defined by being a woman.” I’m gonna stand here instead and say that I manifest my own reality, but my reality and manifestation are not in any way limited by the fact that I am female. I refuse to conform to these bullshit expectations the same as I refuse to throw the female sex under the bus by claiming separation from my sisters. I see the strength in all of you, I see your determination and perseverance and willpower. I stand with you, in solidarity, always ✌🏻️
